Chapter 332 Husband and wife.
"Mykel!" Jessie jumped onto the bed to wake Mykel up who seemed asleep.
Mykel pretended to not hear her, but then Jessie decided to climb on top of his body and shook his body. Since he promised Jessie and Henry to go to the beach, Jessie couldn't wait to go there.
"Mykel! Wake up!" Jessie shook Mykel's body as she giggled because she knew he was pretending to sleep.
Mykel opened his eyes and tickled Jessie, making her scream and laugh uncontrollably. He took his revenge and then Elysande came in to look at how those two were playing around.
"Good morning, Mykel," Elysande smiled.
"Morning, Ely," Mykel responded and carried Jessie in his arms and put her down from the bed. "Looks like you're ready to go as well," he looked at Elysande's white dress and held the straw hat.
"It was hard to make these two go to sleep last night because they were too excited about today's plan. Their excitement affected me and made me can't wait for the plan as well," Elysande answered and chuckled in embarrassment.
"I see. Let's get going then," Mykel removed his shirt and went to the wardrobe to grab a white short-sleeved shirt.
Mykel removed his black shirt and put on the shirt which looked kind of odd to see. He looked at himself in the mirror and never thought he would wear a short-sleeved shirt, especially in white. He decided to not button his shirt and let his body be exposed.
"If you don't mind, I need to change my trousers to shorts," Mykel looked at Elysande who was too focused on his body.
"Oh! We will be waiting for you downstairs!" Elysande flustered and then left the room with Jessie.
Mykel walked down the stairs with his white shirt black shorts with sunglasses in his shirt pocket. Jessie and Henry were so excited to leave while Elysande was captivated by Mykel's appearance.
"Shall we go, Ely?" Mykel raised his eyebrows.
"Yes. The weather is perfect for an outing," Elysande nodded her head.
Mykel suddenly grabbed Elysande's left hand and it startled her and she wondered why he suddenly grabbed her. She didn't notice it, but Jessie and Henry were in awe by what they saw, even the maids and the servants were shocked. She didn't know what had happened, but when she looked at herself in the mirror, her face changed and her hair color had turned black like Mykel's.
"With this, I don't think we need to bring the maids and servants with us. We can just walk on the street like normal people," Mykel said.
"Pardon me, Sir Alester, but..." Before the maid could finish her sentence, Mykel stared at her with a cold expression, making her unable to finish her sentence.
"If you think I can't protect her, then find someone better than me," Mykel said. "If you want to tag along, one of you is enough as long as you keep your distance and just watch. We don't want to attract people's attention," he added.@@novelbin@@
"Yes, I understand. Allow me to join," The maid said.
Mykel nodded his head and then they left the villa and went to the beach which was only a hundred meters away.
They were having fun on the beach, and people weren't aware of Elysande, but the problem was Mykel. His body and the tattoos made him stand out, and even though he covered his eyes with sunglasses, the women could tell he was a handsome man. Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire
"Looks like you should change your face as well," Elysande said as she walked beside Mykel.
"I'm used to this, and I don't really mind since they won't bother me after seeing me walking with you and those two. They will think we are husband and wife with two kids," Mykel answered.
"Husband and wife..." Elsyande blushed and pulled the straw hat down to cover her face. She couldn't stop imagining it and it made her somehow happy and smile happily. "But do they really think that we are husband and wife?" she asked and kept hiding her face.
"If we act like one, they will," Mykel answered and offered his right arm to Elysande so she could wrap her arms around it. "That's if you want them to believe that."
Elysande didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around Mykel's arm and then rest her head on his shoulder. People were looking at them and they were envious of her to have a man like Mykel even though she was still looking pretty in her disguise.
"What did your wife look like?" Elysande asked because she wanted to know the woman who took Mykel's heart.
Mykel stood in front of Elysande and slowly lifted the straw hat so he could see her face. He slowly leaned his head and put his forehead on hers, and then he showed one moment of his memories. The memory of when he was chilling in Gehenna with Lyneth, watching Elena and Little Sasha play catch on the field.
Elysande started tearing up and tears fell to her chin without her realizing it. She sniffled and suddenly Mykel wiped the tears off her cheeks without saying anything.
"She's gorgeous, and your daughters are so adorable as well," Elysande said. "They were so happy, and I could feel your emotion in that moment," she added and looked at Mykel.
"They were and still are the most precious things I have ever had," Mykel answered and showed his pitiful smile.
Elysande hugged Mykel so tightly because she felt like Mykel needed some comfort. She then felt hands on her back and a warm breath on her neck and shoulder. She was happy that she could do something for him even if it was just a simple hug.
"We are here to have fun, not to mourn, Ely. It's the past, and I would prefer not to ruin the mood for both of us," Mykel smiled changed to be gentle and warm.
"Yes. I understand," Elysand smiled back and nodded her head.
They did have some fun and enjoyed their time on the beach for hours because the maid prepared the lunch and a place for them to rest on the beach. The time moved faster than usual because they went around the beach like normal people would which made it so different for Elysande.
"Now the kids are asleep, should we take our turn to have fun?" Mykel asked as he stood up.
"What do you mean?" Elysande grabbed Mykel's hand and got up.
"We are on the beach, and if we don't go for a swim, why are we here in the first place?" Mykel asked with a smile as he brought Elysande to the shore after he took off his shirt.
"But, my dress..." Elysande looked down at her dress.
"Sorry for my rudeness," Mykel lifted Elysande and carried her like a princess as he went into the sea. "It's time for us to get wet," he dropped Elysande into the water.
Elysande was so surprised that she panicked and couldn't help but throw gentle punches at Mykel. She then started laughing after the adrenaline disappeared and splashed water at him.
They were playing in the water and swam around until they realized they had been swimming quite far from the shore. They both went back to the shore and watched the waves hit their feet. It was so peaceful and calming because nobody paid attention to them and minded their own business.
"Until now, I had forgotten that I'm Elysande. This is something that I couldn't imagine, and I never thought I could do something like this. So, thank you for giving me this precious time," Elysande looked at Mykel.
"I can give you more than this. A normal life," Mykel responded and looked back at Elysande.
"It's wrong to say this, but I would trade my current lifestyle and become like everyone here," Elysande said as she looked at the sea.
"Why not both? It's not impossible to do if it's you with my help. And don't forget that this is just the second day of our vacation. I can show you more tomorrow," Mykel responded.
Elysande looked at Mykel and slowly reached for his hand so she could hold it tightly. She was so nervous, but the moment Mykel held her hand back, she felt happy and calm at the same time. She couldn't hold her happy smile and it gave her the courage to leave her head against his shoulder.
"That's enough. I have seen enough," Elestria looked at both of them having a moment through a video call, and then hung up.
Elestria exhaled deeply as she stood up and left her office with the maids following her from behind. The moment she walked into the hallway, she stopped and noticed how the atmosphere was different without Elysande. Not just her, without Mykel's presence and the squeaky voices of Jessie and Henry made it so quiet.
"This is how it is supposed to be," Elestria mumbled to herself, making the maids wonder what she was saying.
She walked to the end of the hallway and then looked to the right, the hallway that led to her parents' room. She had never been there for years, so she decided to pay a visit to that side of the palace. The maids were looking at each other and noticed that she was acting weirdly.
As she walked the hallway, she once again stopped to stare at the big painting of her and Elysande, sitting on a big couch.
"Leave me alone," Elestria ordered.
The maids bowed their heads and left.
She stared at how both of them didn't look happy in that painting, a glimpse of emptiness could be seen in their eyes.
"I'm supposed to be happy for you, Elysande. But, why is it that I don't want to see you happy?" Elestria asked as she touched the frame of the painting and looked up at Elysande's face. "I'm jealous of you, sister," she added as she frowned.
What do you think?
