Destroying My Own World

Chapter 336 Suffer for love.

The palace was quite noisy early in the morning and Henry and Jessie were awoken by it. They wondered what had happened, but nobody had time to tell them because everyone was busy moving stuff downstairs.

Mykel heard about what happened from the head maid that Elysande had decided to move to the King's palace. A palace that separated from the main palace, a palace behind the main palace where the former king used to live.@@novelbin@@

"Henry, Jessie, do you want to listen to my request?" Mykel asked as he was on his knees in front of them. "Lady Elysa is sad, and she doesn't have anyone to be with. Would you two like to stay with her for the next few days?" he added with his eyebrows raised.

"Okay," Jessie nodded and then grabbed Henry's hand to find Elysande.

"Sir Alester, Her Majesty has summoned you to the throne room," The butler said.

Mykel followed the butler to the throne room, and there was nobody in the room except Elestria. He looked at how cold she was when she stared at him and he knew that he was the reason she and Elysande fought.

"I believe you already know what happened, so I don't need to talk around the bush. You're going to stay away from Elysande and you're not allowed to make any contact with her," Elestria said with a cold expression.

"Is there anything else, Your Highness?" Mykel asked.

"No, that would be all. You're dismissed," Elestria answered and she looked pissed by how nonchalant his expression was. "Before you leave. Tell me something," she said when Mykel was about to leave. "What did you do to Elysande?"

"I gave her the love that she wanted. I was fortunate to be able to see the other side of Lady Elysande. She's different from any woman I know," Mykel answered with a pitiful smile. "Is there anything else? Your Highness?" he asked.

Mykel's answer was the truth and Elestria could tell by the aura he emitted around him. His happiness, sadness, anger, and disappointment could be seen through the aura on him. He was making the same aura as Elysande back then, and she didn't know if she should feel guilty, regret, or think it was the right thing to do.

"You can leave," Elestria shook her head.

"What's the point of having all the power in the world when you're alone? I hope you don't make the same mistake as I do, Your Highness," Mykel looked over his shoulder to look at Elestria before he left.

Elestria was troubled and realized she was in a really bad spot where Mykel and Elysande would leave her side. She made a mistake and made those two, the only people she could show herself leaving her side. She knew she couldn't let the situation worsen, and so she immediately visited the King's palace to meet Elysande.

Elestria had prepared everything she wanted to say to Elysande and believed it would be enough to fix the problem. But when she was in front of Elysande's room, she was ignored and she couldn't enter Elysande's room since it was locked.

The maids and servants informed her that Elysande hadn't left the room and hadn't eaten anything for the past four days. They were begging, but Elysande didn't want to be bothered and wanted to be alone.

"Where's the spare key?" Elestria asked the maids.

The maid gave Elestria the key and then they were all dismissed since Elestria wanted to have some privacy with her sister. When she opened the door, she was terrified by the condition of her sister who had messy hair, red eyes, and an empty expression.

"Ely..." Elestria said quietly and rushed to bed.

Before Elestria could touch Elysande's hand, Elysande glanced at her with empty eyes. Elestria never regretted killing people or had any lingering guilt, but she felt both of those when she saw Elysande's eyes.

"This is what you want to see, right?" Elysande asked weakly with a little strength she had left. "To see me suffer because you don't like to see me happy," she added.

All the words that Elestria had prepared were useless the moment Elysande knew the disgusting truth about her sister. She didn't want to deny it, but at the same time, she didn't want to see Elysande like that. She wanted Elysande to not be happy, but not to see her suffer like that.

"Just kill me already if you can't even let me be happy, Ester," Elysande said with a serious tone.

"I don't want to see you like this, Ely. I admit that I don't want you to be happy, but that's because you're leaving me behind. I want us to suffer together and be happy together," Elestria said as she stacked her hands on her lap and stared at Elysande with a worried expression.

"I gave my position, I gave up my future as a woman, I gave up my the rest of my dreams to be by your side. Now tell me, what makes both of us equally suffering?" Elysande asked and she stared blankly at the blanket. "I didn't complain about all that and served you with all my heart. But, the moment I see the light in front of me, you're not dragging me back into the darkness with you, you're pushing me back into the darkness alone," she added with her eyes closed.

Elestria never thought about it, not even once about how Elysande suffered deeply. She thought they both suffered equally, but she realized she got everything she wanted and didn't lack anything. At that moment, she was at fault, but she was too prideful to apologize and admit her wrongdoings.

"But you're still my lovely younger sister that I treasure deeply. I wish I could be the same, but I'm close to hating you. I want to be alone, and please respect my wish this time," Elsyande said as she slowly laid down to rest.

Elestria stood up and left the room with pain, sadness, regret, and guilt. She then remembered what Mykel said back then about being alone, and she already felt that. Now she added anxiety inside her head and she couldn't handle everything at once.

"Her Majesty..." Jessie stood in the hallway and anxiously greeted Elestria.

Elestria didn't realize people were walking in the hallway since she was frozen still right outside Elysande's room. She then smiled at Jessie and Henry as she walked away from the door since she knew they were there to be with Elysande.

"Can I ask you two a favor?" Elestria asked. "My sister is sick and hasn't eaten anything for days. Can you two feed her so she can get better?" she added.

"Yes, Your Majesty. We will make Lady Elysande better!" Jessie nodded her head repeatedly.

Elestria left the King's palace and thought everything would be fine with Jessie and Henry in the room for Elysande, but she was wrong. Elysande didn't even put a spoon of food in her mouth even with Henry and Jessie's help. They tried other methods, but Elysande didn't want to eat because she wasn't hungry.

Elysande's health was declining in just three days, and the doctor warned Elestria that it would be dangerous if Elysande didn't eat for another day. Elestria respected Elysande's wish and ignored the warning because she knew Elysande wouldn't be that stupid to ignore her health.

Once again, Elestria was wrong and Elysande's condition became so critical that she could no longer move her body since her muscles became sore. The doctor begged Elestria to do something for Elysande, even the maids were begging to force Elysande to take IV nutrition. She once again ignored the suggestion because she knew what Elysande wanted, and she had no choice but to give Elysande what she wanted.

Elysande could smell a delicious soup from her left, and when she opened her eyes, she saw Mykel sitting next to her with a bowl in his left hand. She thought she hallucinated because she had seen a similar thing last night, but the moment the spoon touched her dried lips, she realized she wasn't hallucinating.

"Open your mouth, Ely. It's time for you to eat," Mykel said with a gentle smile.

Without hesitation, Elysande opened her mouth and took a slow sip of the corn soup. It was so delicious that her body started to tremble because her body was happy to be able to get food inside.

It didn't take a minute for Elysande to empty the bowl of soup, and then she started to tear up when she was able to see Mykel again. She missed him so much that it was the reason why she didn't want to eat or any desire to eat. She wanted to hug him, kiss him, and be in his arms like back then during vacation, but she couldn't move her body.

"Go to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up," Mykel said as he stroked Elysande's hair. "I swear on my life, so you can rest now and I'll take care of you until you can get back to your feet," he continued.

Elestria entered the room the moment Elysande fell asleep, and couldn't believe it was that simple. She thought Mykel put some kind of a curse or spell on Elysande with his power, but she did some research and realized how stupid a human could be when it came to love.

"Please take care of Ely. I want her to get better," Elestria said.

"I will, and I will make sure she's feeling better both physically and mentally," Mykel answered as he stared at Elysande and how his hand was held tightly by her.
