Destroying My Own World

Chapter 398 Unrevealing (2).

After Aevia revealed a bit of the truth, she disappeared and couldn't be found anywhere. They tried to look for her and checked if she had another secret that she had hidden from them, but they couldn't find her.

They gave up and focused on Amaryllis who looked like she had lost everything even though she hadn't done anything. They let her take her time again for the second time, but this time she had lost hope by the look in her eyes.

"Can you tell us what you know? We might not be as smart as you, but at least let us bear the burden with you," Jeanne said as she tried to get Amaryllis' attention by standing in front of her. "Can you tell us? What do you mean we are living in the past? Are you talking about this whole thing? Is it because we are living in the past, we are literally living in a memory right now," she asked.

Amaryllis shook her head and she tried to make the words easy to digest by them. She realized it would be too complicated for them to understand, so she created a wall in front of her. Everyone was looking at the wall with their eyebrows raised, standing next to each other so they could see everything.

Amaryllis put her left hand on the wall, leaving black ink and dragging it a meter to the right, and then created a big loop the loop all the way down. She then continued dragging her hand to the right for another ten meters and stopped after. She turned around and walked back to where it started, and then she pointed at it.

"Imagine this line is the flow of time, and this is the beginning, or should I say the starting point," Amaryllis said as she kept looking at them. "Now look at the distance between the starting point to this straight line before it makes a loop," she added.

"This distance is the flow of time of this world up to where our original world is created. Now, do you guys know what the loop stands for?" Amaryllis asked and looked at them with her trembling hand on the wall.

Everyone stared at the loop the loop and thought about what it stood for.

"Is that where we tried to create a paradox?" Nagy asked and looked at Amaryllis.

"Yes, the loop is where we, from another universe, created the paradox. This goes on and on to the point where it's looping the timeline forever," Amaryllis nodded her head. "Now imagine we are on a rollercoaster and the first cart is where we, from another universe that created the paradox while we are somewhere in the middle of the super long carts in the rollercoaster," she continued.

"We don't know where exactly are we, but if the first cart has done the loop it will go to that long straight line over there. Now, what about us?" Amaryllis asked and looked at everyone.

"We might be still in the loop the loop because we are basically not the first, and based on what we have seen, there were multiples close to an infinite alternate universe of our world before I destroyed them all," Beldathiel answered as she walked toward the wall. "We are basically following the path that the first cart has experienced and created for us. Since we are on a rollercoaster as you said, there's no way we can create our own path since we are bound by the track of the rollercoaster and the carts in front of us," she continued and started to understand what Amaryllis meant by living in the past.

"So you're telling us that we are here right now is basically the past of our future self and our future is present of our future self?" Lillith tilted her head, asking if she was right about it.

"Yes, we are basically in the past of our future self, and what I fear is that it might be too late for us to fix things up. To be precise, there's no point in doing that because our future self must have tried it as well," Amaryllis answered and pointed out her fear. "If what Aevia said is true, if Mykel is already not with us or abandoned us..." she paused because she couldn't imagine that possibility.

"Why don't we just break the loop? Break free from the predetermined path in front of us?" Aurea asked and she didn't like the idea of surrendering. "We have done that, and what makes it so hard to do it again?" she added.

"Don't you understand Amaryllis' explanation?" Bhatmelec looked at Aurea. "Let's say we managed and successfully break free from the predetermined path, but if you think about it and wonder what if our future selves did that as well? Doesn't that mean we are basically still following their path? Because in the end, whatever we do, our future selves have done it and we are just following their path. What we do right now is already in the past of our future selves, don't you understand that?" she explained after she grasped how dire their situation was.

That was when everyone understood the whole situation they were in and understood why Amaryllis was so devastated by it. The confidence that they had suddenly decreased and soon enough they would lose it because of the harsh reality.

"The reason why Aevia could interact with us even though she's in the past in this memory world is because she's the only being, the true omnipotent being that could travel through time. She could go to her past self, to her future self, and move back and forth without any consequence. She's time itself, without time, nothing can exist, and that's who she is," Amaryllis explained and her eyes were empty.

"Mykel and my daughter are out there fighting her, and you guys are getting depressed by this? I can't believe you guys are so easily broken like this," Lyneth said and looked at them with disappointment. "You're all acting as if the future is a bad ending for us even though we know nothing about it. Aevia might be omnipotent, but right now she's trapped in there with them. We were humans before, we knew we were going to die one day, but does that make you all give up on life because you know in the end we are going to die? This is what you guys are doing right now," she started to get angry at everyone's current state.

They knew that, but it didn't change the fact that Aevia was too powerful for them as she could move back and forth to the present, future, and past. If they tried to change the past, she would interfere and fix it, and if they tried to change the future, it didn't have any impact.

"Amy, just focus on the abyss, find out about its nature and what it was made of. Understand it, control it, and lastly use it so we won't be having any issue with it if Mykel somehow goes berserk again," Lyneth looked at Amaryllis with determination. "We will learn everything from this even if it will lead us to our demise. Face it because the moment you have nothing to lose, that's when you will do, think, and see amazing things that you would have never expected," she continued.

"Choose where you want to stand. You can stay away from this, living your life with no purpose, or live your life for this sole purpose and whatever happens, you're not alone because we are in this together," Lyneth looked at them with a serious expression, not showing any fear or doubt.

"Fuck it, I'm down," Aurea sighed as she nodded her head in agreement. "As long as I can throw a single punch on that bitch's face, I'm satisfied," she added.@@novelbin@@

Lillith would follow Aurea so she joined in, and that also meant Sven would follow her since he wanted to be by Lillith's side. Seeing Lillith like that, Nagy decided to join as well, and that included Gerrard. Gunnar didn't have a choice since they would need him if a fight occurred, and that also meant Rozan and Vincze followed him since they didn't want Gunnar to do things recklessly.

One by one, everyone decided to challenge the unknown, except for one, and it was Luciel.

"It's okay if you want to stay here, sister," Beldathiel smiled as she looked at Luciel. "Although you're a part of us, this isn't your fight, and we force you to join," she continued.

Zherlthsh and the other princesses nodded their heads in agreement with Beldathiel's words. Seeing them all like that, Luciel chuckled as she shook her head because she found them ridiculous.

"Can you guys really do this without me?" Luciel asked.

"Not really, since you're our eldest sister after all. Isn't that your job to protect your younger sisters?" Beldathiel asked back with a huge grin on her face.

"I knew you would say that," Luciel sighed as she walked toward Beldathiel. "Looks like I have no choice but to join with you," she smiled back at Beldathiel.
