Chapter 403 Realm Walker.
Luciel had chills every time she walked past those lifeless bodies because she didn't believe that they were dead. She knew for sure that she couldn't defeat one of them knowing the state she was in, and the fact there were so many of them would be the scariest thing she had ever experienced.
She hurriedly looked for the life essences since they should shine brightly, or at least that she believed in because she saw them with her own two eyes when Mykel extracted them. She spread her wings and started to fly and scanned the area around her thoroughly to find the light in the darkness.
Jeanne and Amaryllis were worried about Luciel since it had been hours since Luciel entered that space. They couldn't do anything if Luciel somehow got stuck in there, and the only one who could help her was Mykel, but Mykel had the most important thing to do.
Their worries disappeared when they saw a silhouette from the distance in the alley and realized it was Luciel by the look of the appearance of the silhouette. They saw Luciel come out, but she looked pale even though she had the life essentials in her hands. Something told them that something had happened there and that Luciel saw something that she shouldn't see.
"Are you alright?" Jeanne asked with her eyebrows furrowed.
"No, I'm not sure if I'm alright..." Luciel answered with a blank expression. "If you can go in there, you would be terrified," she added and looked at both Jeanne and Amaryllis.
"What did you see?" Amaryllis asked as she took the life essences from Luciel's hands. Explore stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"I don't know what those were, but they were Mykel or at least something similar to him. Those things were kept in there and I don't know for what reason, but there were a lot of them," Luciel answered as she stared blankly at the distance.
Jeanne and Amaryllis looked at each other, wondering if they knew what Luciel was talking about. But then Amaryllis remembered when Mykel was living in the abyss, those shadows and the being that took over Mykel's body back then could be the answer to that. She didn't know if she was right unless she could see it with her own two eyes and observe them directly.
"Well, I believe it doesn't matter now because we got what we wanted," Amaryllis said as she looked at the life essences in her hands. "We should go back and give everyone their lives back," she looked at Luciel and Jeanne.
They hurriedly went back to the Archive and Amaryllis immediately put the essences back into everyone's bodies. The moment the essences surged into their bodies, they felt an immense amount of power running through their veins. Their power spiked and became way stronger than their original state because Aevia bestowed them a different power and it resonated with their original powers.
Amaryllis thought that it wouldn't be right to keep it as it was and explained to them how dangerous the power inside them was. She was afraid that Aevia's power would affect them in some way, and she wanted to neutralize that power and change it into a new one. They had no complaints and let Amaryllis do her things on their bodies inside out, modifying them like machines.
"How did you do it?" Luciel asked as she observed Amaryllis. "You're not Aevia, but how can you modify her power inside their bodies?" She added.
"I have been spending eons before I came back here with Sasha. We both didn't spend our time doing nothing, we experimented with our powers and tried to combine them. We aren't as strong as Aevia, but we find out her true nature and who she is. With that being said, we understand the foundation of her power and how to go against it," Amaryllis answered as she was busy using the system to modify everyone's existence.
"That's interesting. I never thought power could be deciphered like that," Luciel responded as she looked at Beldathiel and her other sisters asleep. "But then I guess that's because you're a program just like what you said earlier," she continued as she sat down to relax for a bit.
Amaryllis only smiled as she kept operating the system to bypass Aevia's power that had been registered to the system Thanks to it being inside her clones' bodies since Jeanne and the others were currently using Amaryllis' clones' bodies as vessels. She found it came in handy and made things easier for her which was quite an unexpected turn.
"I'm done," Amaryllis said as she closed the window screen in front of her.
Everyone opened their eyes and they didn't feel any difference, knowing that everything went smoothly for Amaryllis, they were quite satisfied. But when they were busy checking their own bodies, they felt an immense amount of power moving toward Amaryllis. They turned their heads to Amaryllis and saw a ball of light in her hand, the source of the immense amount of power.
"What's that thing?" Jeanne stared at the ball of light.
"I think..." Amaryllis paused because she was in disbelief. "I think I managed to take Aevia's power from modifying everyone's powers. This thing is in my possession now," she looked at everyone with a shocked expression.
Everyone walked toward Amaryllis to look at the ball of light from up close to see what kind of power Aevia possessed. Seeing how it was glowing so brightly and seemed harmless even though it oozed such pressure and an intimidating aura. Nobody dared to touch it even though it looked harmless because they didn't want to make a problem out of it.
"What are you going to do with it?" Sasha asked.
"I'm not sure, but for now I'm going to learn about it first and see if I can use this power and turn it into something else. Elena has her own way of going against Aevia's power and pulled herself out from Aevia's grasp," Amaryllis answered. "If we can do something similar, we don't need to be afraid of her since our existence will not be in Aevia's hands anymore. This might be the key to our freedom, beings that don't belong to her," she continued and then looked at Luciel.
They felt like the moment they encountered Mykel, everything turned in their favor in a way. It wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last time either that Mykel always opened a path for everyone.
"Lyn, are you ready?" Amaryllis looked at Lyneth who seemed busy with her own thing.
"I'm ready," Lyneth answered as she nodded her head.
Nobody knew what Lyneth was trying to do or what kind of power she possessed. They knew that her power was based on Mykel's, but the power that she had in her new world as the Mother, nobody knew her power at all. Only Lyneth and Edith knew about her power, and the reason she never told anyone about it was because it wasn't as powerful as the others.
"So, what are you going to do, Lyn?" Jeanne asked.
"The only thing I'm good at..." Lyneth grabbed the clock and fast-forwarded the memory.
Everyone looked at her and the memory that she was looking for with confused looks on their faces. When Lyneth stopped fast-forwarding the memory and knew where she wanted to go, everyone looked at the moment Mykel entered the novel world. They still had no idea what she was trying to do since it was a memory world and there was no point in going there.
Mykel came out of the police station and he was confused because he had no recollection of the place he was in. He looked around and walked Lyneth and the others since they were just spectators from a different dimension, separated by time and realm.
"Mykel..." Lyneth turned around to look at Mykel.
Everyone looked at Lyneth with confused looks and their eyebrows furrowed, but then they were shocked when Mykel turned around as if he heard her calling his name.
"Yes?" Mykel raised his eyebrows and he kept his composure even though he had no idea where he was.
Lyneth smiled and chuckled in disbelief as she walked toward him, and then she stood in front of him while Mykel kept staring at her, wondering if he knew her.
"Wait, how can she talk to Mykel?" Jeanne was shocked by what she saw.
"That's Lyneth's ability, it's called Realm Walker," Amaryllis answered. "She can move to any kind of realm, it's either a reality realm, a dream realm, or even a memory realm. She can interact and enter those realms, ignoring time and space," she explained.
"What?! That's so powerful!" Luciel looked at Amaryllis with a shocked expression. "Does that mean she can change the past with that power?" she asked.
"Yes, and the best part is that Aevia can't interfere because she's trapped in that space with Mykel and Elena," Amaryllis nodded her head as she looked at Lyneth and Mykel talking.
What do you think?
