Destroying My Own World

Chapter 402 Mykel's trust.

Aevia replaced her current state with her past and immediately pushed Mykel away with her third and fourth arms while she was still stronger than him. It was a close call or she would lose her power by Mykel since he would be strong enough to take her power away. She summoned more arms and used them to rip Mykel's hand off since they were no longer in an Eternal state.

The arms that Aevia summoned were moving so fast that Mykel couldn't dodge them all. Every time he got hit by it, he got his skin and flesh ripped off or his bones broken or pulled off. The arms could appear anywhere from thin air and could attack from every angle and at any moment.

Elena was lying on the ground, barely enduring the pain, and the worst part was she was the only one who took a huge toll on the fight between those two. She realized that every time Aevia hurt Mykel, she replaced herself with her past self.

"Having that power to replace herself with her past self is already too powerful, and I thought it wouldn't get worse, but after you explained it to us, that's just some bullshit isn't it?" Aurea looked at Amaryllis and couldn't believe how powerful Aevia actually was.

"I think it makes sense that even a second ago is counted as a past. Since Aevia has lived for eternity, she could exchange her state from a day, an hour, a second, a millisecond, or even a nanosecond. Basically, she can't be killed, and the fact her existence is like a solid rope that can't be cut or be separated," Rozan responded as he imagined that Aevia was in a different league than them.

Everyone was watching Lyneth control the record because her ability was extraordinary compared to them. Although she was just a replica of the real one, she possessed half of what the real Lyneth had. Of course, Mykel had told them where Aevia kept their souls' essences and the ones who had gone to take them were Luciel, Jeanne, Aurea, and Amaryllis' clone who knew where they were.

"Are you worried?" Edith looked at Lyneth as she walked toward Lyneth.

"Yes, if my soul is connected to both Mykel and Elena, I'm afraid my soul can't handle the power that both Elena and Mykel have. I can't imagine how bad my soul has become now," Lyneth answered as she watched when she was giving birth to Elena from a small screen that the clock projected.

"Everything is going to be okay. The fact Mykel knew because his future self had seen them, that means yours is fine," Amaryllis said after she heard the conversation between those two.

Lyneth didn't realize that and she felt relieved and at ease after she thought about it. Now that one of the concerns had been relieved, the next concern would be the thing she was going to do. She might be the only one who could pull it off, but she had never taken on a crucial role in the team.

"Mykel trust you, and even though it's the heaviest burden that anyone can get, it's also the most encouraging thing that anyone can have," Edith looked at Lyneth with a gentle smile. "You have done it once, and I believe you can do it again this time for Elena's sake," she added.

Lyneth hummed as she nodded her head.

"Those three have found the place," Amaryllis pointed out. "I will inform you when they manage to take the soul essence," she continued.

Jeanne, Aurea, Luciel, and Amaryllis looked at the simple entrance that almost blended in with the whiteness of the space around it. It was like a narrow alley that could lead them to another space, but when they tried to walk in, a barrier prevented them from entering.

"It's not a barrier, it's more like the time is frozen in there. We can't enter it, and even if we can, we will be frozen in time as well," Amaryllis pointed out as she put her hand on the invisible barrier. "It's like Mykel said, and the only one who can get in there is someone who has the ability to manipulate time and space," she looked at Luciel who had devoured all powers.

"Just me? Aren't you able to do that as well?" Luciel raised her eyebrows and looked at Amaryllis. Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire

"I can, but you have a bit of Aevia's power inside you," Amaryllis answered as she took a step back. "Let's see if I will be able to do it," she took a deep breath as her surroundings started to distort.

Amaryllis put her right hand at the barrier and her hand could pass through the barrier. She then slowly put her arm in and noticed that she was fine, so she started to put her leg in until half of her body was in the narrow alley. But, the moment she entered the alley, she was frozen in time after her power was being cut off in that space.

"Looks like I'm right," Another Amaryllis appeared behind Jeanne. "It's only you who should be able to enter that space since that space only accepts Aevia's power like a pass ticket," she explained.

"I still can't believe how your power is really convenient in any kind of situation. Can you give me that power? It looks really nice," Luciel looked at Amaryllis and wondered what the limit was to Amaryllis' power.

"Unfortunately you can't. It's not power or ability, it's my own existence. I'm just a program with a physical body," Amaryllis answered. "Anyway, we don't have time to waste, so I hope you can hurry and get the life essences," she pointed out.

Luciel raised her eyebrows as she took a deep breath and looked at the alley. She used Bhatmelec's power to manipulate time and space, and her surroundings got distorted as well just like Amaryllis. She then slowly put her hand on the barrier and slowly put half her body into the alley.

"Wait, what if it didn't work and I'm stuck in there?" Luciel looked at Amaryllis anxiously.

"There's only one way to find out," Jeanne said as she looked at Luciel. "And that's to dive into the water," she pushed Luciel into the barrier.

"Jeanne! You-" Luciel screamed in panic and anger as she turned around to look at Jeanne. "Wait, I'm fine..." she looked at her hands and she could move inside the alley.

"Even if you're not fine, Amy already has a plan to prevent you from getting stuck there," Jeanne said with a smug on her face. "Isn't that right, Amy?" She glanced at Amaryllis who looked a bit relieved when she saw Luciel could move in that space.

"Uh... yeah, of course," Amaryllis forced her smile as she looked at Luciel. "I could maybe pull her out, but I'm not sure that would work though," she explained.

That forced smile was enough to tell Luciel and Jeanne that Amaryllis had no plan or method to help Luciel if Luciel ended up frozen in time. Jeanne was surprised, and then when she looked at Luciel, she noticed how angry Luciel was by the way Luciel glared at her.

"Jeanne, I will remember this..." Luciel gritted her teeth and kept glaring at Jeanne.

"I trust Amy, so I don't see that's my fault," Jeanne chuckled.

Luciel sighed and then turned around to look at the long alley in front of her. She had almost all her power inside that space because only a bit of Aevia's power ran through her body. She was lucky but at the same time, she was still on guard because she didn't know if it would be the same if she went further into that alley.

"I'll be right back..." Luciel took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.

Luciel walked the alley and the barrier started to distort, making Jeanne and Aevia unable to see her clearly because the barrier made it so blurry. They hoped that Luciel would be alright because she had gone so far away that it would be impossible for anyone to enter that alley to save her.

As Luciel walked further and deeper, she felt the whiteness of the space slowly dimmed. She felt like she was slowly moving to another realm or dimension, and how the atmosphere became heavier for her to walk. But as long as she was fine, she didn't have to worry about anything else and would keep her guard up, making sure that the power within her could help her get through that alley.

After she walked for half an hour, she found herself in a different place, a place where it had nothing but a massive black hole with its loud ambient sound that trembled her eardrums. She couldn't find anything in that place other than a black hole, and she believed that was where soul essences were kept. She was a bit scared to get near that thing, but she had no choice but to go for it.

When she got close to the black hole, she was gently being sucked into it and the fact that she could resist it made her think it was safe. She was standing in front of that black hole and walked into it with her sword ready. When she entered the darkness with no light that could enter that place, she felt something was watching her. The moment her eyes got used to the complete darkness, she was shocked to the core when she saw them.

"What is this place..." Luciel mumbled as her eyes trembled in fear and disbelief when she saw countless bodies floating where all of them had similar features like Mykel's. "Is this where she kept them all?" She asked and saw thousands of them around her.
