Destroying My Own World

Chapter 407 Anxiety.

"Damn it. This is going to sound pathetic, but this is unfair since there are twelve of you in there," Aurea grunted as her limbs were being regenerated and stared at the Demon Princesses had combined into Metatron. "Not to mention the gift that Amy gave you is making you way too powerful..." She stood up as soon as her legs had regenerated.

Luciel looked at Aurea with her eyebrows raised and smug on her face, mocking Aurea for saying such a thing. Her current power couldn't be compared to when she was fighting The Lord, it was way more powerful that her wings were enough to hold everyone's attacks.

"I don't see that's my problem," Luciel chuckled. "Also, that's your mistake for not taking the fight seriously. I know that you were holding back and didn't use the gift that Amy gave you," she pointed out.

Aurea was the only one who hadn't shown what kind of gift Amaryllis gave everyone. The scariest part was the fact she still could beat some of them without using it while the others did their best in the spar with her. Only those from the main team that could beat her after using their gift, but they had a hard time defeating her.

"Because I don't want to use it yet. I'll use it once I know there's no chance of winning," Aurea answered as she fixed her hair and put down her sword since she had been fighting everyone the whole day. "It's time for me to get some rest and maybe take a bath in the river. Do you want to join me?" She looked at Luciel.

Luciel closed her eyes and each wing on her back fell to the ground and turned into her sisters. They all then went to the lake to take a bath with Aurea since it had been a long day for them as well. Jeanne and the others joined in and it became a bath party for all the girls.

Lyneth dipped herself into the lake and she was deep in thought, away from the others. She was thinking about Mykel and Elena since she couldn't feel anything because Mykel and Elena blocked their connection to her. She felt like she was abandoned by the most precious people in her life, but she knew the reason why they did that. It was because they didn't want her to get involved and at the same time so she could focus on fighting from behind the scenes.

When everyone was discussing their powers and how to use them efficiently, Lyneth suddenly jolted and stood up straight. Everyone looked at her hurriedly walked out of the lake, making them wonder why she was in a rush.

"She indeed has a fine ass, I just realized it now," Vixelleth bit her lips and stared at Lyneth's naked body with lust. "But that's not important right now. What's wrong with her?" she asked.

"Let her be..." Aurea went to the surface after she dove into the water. "She's anxious about Mykel and Elena. We can't do anything about it," she continued and put the bottom half of her face in the water.

It wasn't just Lyneth who felt anxious, everyone was feeling the same, but not as severe as her. They knew how she treasured Elena and Mykel, not to mention that she was entrusted to be the key to their success in fighting Aevia.

Lyneth went back to the cabin to meet with Amaryllis because she had something to ask her. She found something odd about her power, and she wanted to ask if it was meant to work like that or if it was something else.

"Amy, the gift that you gave me, it's messing with my head..." Lyneth said as she sat at the table and she looked scared. "I see things that I don't want to see, and sometimes it changes into something I want to see," she explained.

Amaryllis furrowed her eyebrows and sat across Lyneth to understand the problem. The power that she gave to Lyneth was called [Systematic], and everyone was given the same power. What made it unique was the power could do more than enhance everyone's original power, it also helped them to surpass the limitation. The [Systematic] power would guide them and turn their power into something more befitting for them.

"Your Realm Walker skill has changed, and I don't seem to understand what's happening to your power either," Amaryllis responded and kept analyzing Lyneth's power. "Can you tell me what's happening?" She asked as she walked towards Lyneth and then sat beside her.

"I think I saw the future, the future of Mykel where he lost everything. I saw him enraged after Elena sacrificed herself for him. I saw him suffering..." Lyneth shed tears when she remembered what she saw. "But then, I saw Mykel smile, laugh, and be so cheerful with all of us together. Sometimes it was Elena who suffered after Mykel sacrificed himself for her. Those two keep coming back and forth over and over, and I can't stop seeing them," she explained.

Amaryllis found Lyneth's answer interesting because what she saw about Mykel was exactly the same future that happened. Then she thought about the second part where Elena was the one who survived in the end which made her doubt what Lyneth saw as the future.

"You spoke to them when you saw them?" Amaryllis held Lyneth's hand to see what Lyneth saw.

"I tried, but they had lost their senses. I hugged them, but they didn't respond to it, and that was the only thing I could do for them," Lyneth answered. "I don't know if it was the future, a vision, or a possible future. I don't think it's either of them," she pointed out as she sniffled and wiped the tears off her cheeks.

Even after listening to Lyneth and analyzing it herself, Amaryllis had no idea what was happening. There were so many possibilities that she didn't dare to assume that it was one of them.

"If it really bothers you, would you like me to seal that power for a moment? It's taking a toll on your mind, and it would be best to let you have peace of mind right now," Amaryllis suggested.

"No, if I can't handle the power, the power will consume me instead. I don't want that because I have seen Mykel get consumed by his power, and I'm not going to let something like that happen again," Lyneth answered as she shook her head. "I came to ask you if my power is acting weirdly or not. Since you don't know, I'll deal with this on my own," she said as she stood up.

"Where are you going?" Amaryllis looked at Lyneth leaving the cabin.

"Somewhere to sharpen my power," Lyneth answered. "Since you're here, can you open a portal to the Archive? I want to meet with Mykel since I have promised to meet him again," she turned to look at Amaryllis.

Amaryllis opened a portal and she didn't plan to follow Lyneth because she wanted to give Lyneth some privacy and time alone. She knew that Lyneth was hurting because of how much she missed Mykel and Elena.

Lyneth held the clock and fast-forwarded the record up to the point where Mykel had defeated Mara, living in comfort in the Empyrean World with everyone. She then watched how peaceful those days were, but she didn't want to linger with the past and fast-forward it again until Mykel decided to go back to his real world. Lyneth skipped Mykel's normal life and went straight to a week after the invasion came to his world. She watched Mykel on his own in a bar, surrounded by darkness because there was no electricity. It was a day before Elena came to see him, and so she traveled to his world and then opened the door of the bar.

"You came back..." Mykel stared Lyneth in the eye with suspicion once again.

"I am, as I promised," Lyneth showed a sorrowful smile at him at the door where the street looked so dark and eerie. "May I come in?" She asked.

"Help yourself," Mykel pointed at the chair next to him and then drank a glass of vodka.

Lyneth sat next to Mykel and she didn't say a word nor did Mykel for a whole minute. It was awkward, but Mykel could tell Lyneth's feelings by looking at her expression. He knew that she was anxious, scared, sad, and in pain which made him wonder why.

"I'm going to tell you the truth. That's if you want to hear it," Lyneth said and stared blankly at the cabinet.

"Go ahead, I have all the time to listen to your story," Mykel responded.

Lyneth didn't hesitate to reveal the truth and what happened after Elena and the others came into his world. The Gods that truly existed in his world, and the one that controlled the whole universe, The Lord. Not only that, she also told him about his nature, and what he did that made him so powerful even The Lord couldn't win against him.

Mykel was dumbfounded when he listened to the crazy journey of his life through Lyneth's eyes. He never thought what he did in the novel world couldn't be compared to what he was about to face. He didn't know what to say or what to ask because his mind was blank after he digested the revelation.

"Is there anything you would like to ask me?" Lyneth looked at Mykel.

"Yes, a lot of things," Mykel answered still with his mild shock expression staring at Lyneth. "But the most important question is how far are you from the future?" he asked.

"So far that we are desperate to find an answer to survive and win this battle against a being that more superior to The Lord," Lyneth answered.
