Destroying My Own World

Chapter 406 Hidden and forgotten.

Mykel was in the middle of the fight while at the same time protecting Elena who had been in a bad state because of his fight. But something had been bothering him, his memories were so fuzzy that sometimes he went blank in the middle of the fight. Of course, Aevia noticed his weird behavior and whatever it was, she couldn't help to feel suspicious and anxious.

"Elena, can you hold it in a little longer?" Mykel landed in front of Elena who was curled up on the ground. He hated it when he looked at Elena's condition and the fact he couldn't do anything about it.

Elena only hummed weakly because she didn't have enough strength to waste. She was hanging on a single string and depended her life on it. She was vulnerable and a single attack from Aevia would be enough to make her lose the battle of wit. She was the only key to Aevia's freedom, and that was why Mykel had to protect Elena with all his life on the line.

"Just give up, you have no chance of winning here," Aevia said as she looked at Mykel with a serious expression.

"People who said that kind of words can only mean one thing," Mykel stared at Aevia coldly. "That means they're desperate and have nothing left to assert their dominance," he pointed out as he readied his stance.

"I never thought I would create something so delusional," Aevia sighed and then she replaced her current state with her past. "I'll play along for as long as you want because, in the end, you will realize that this is pointless for you," she added.

Although Aevia said those things, she was anxious because in that space their minds and thoughts became one. What made her anxious was the fact that Mykel who had left for a moment and come back with an immense amount of power, she couldn't get anything from his mind and thoughts. He left for quite a while, and yet he also had nothing in his head about the plan to defeat her which only meant one thing, and that was he purposely didn't partake in the scheme behind the scene. The fact she couldn't tell what Amaryllis and the others were doing was the reason for her anxiety.

Amaryllis slowly walked back as she stared at Luciel who had just got her memories back. Not only did she give Luciel the memories of her past life, but she also got rid of Aevia's influence on Luciel's body. Now that everyone had been freed from Aevia's influence, they would be able to move more freely in case Aevia could still use Luciel's senses back then.

"How do you feel?" Beldathiel looked at Luciel. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

"I feel alive," Luciel scoffed as she looked at her hands. "I made the right choice to take my memories back. I remember everything now and this is indeed a precious life that I had," she smiled and looked at herself in the record.

"Would you like to join with the others in the Empyrean World? Aurea and Jeanne would love to have you there since you're still the strongest in the team," Amaryllis suggested with her eyebrows raised.

"Sure, why not?" Luciel smirked as she clenched her fists. "The power that we achieved together. I can't wait to use it again, and this time with an extra twist that you gave me," she added after she looked at the gift that Amaryllis gave her on the screen in front of her.

Amaryllis opened a portal and then Luciel and Beldathiel entered the portal to meet with the others in the Empyrean World. After that, Amaryllis closed the portal and decided to go and check that space where Luciel grabbed the essences.

Amaryllis was on her own when she went to that narrow space, and then she pulled out Aevia's power from thin air. She looked at it for a moment to analyze if it would be safe for her to consume it and put it in her system. After she was sure that Aevia's power that she possessed had been isolated by the system, she put it in her chest.

The moment she completely devoured Aevia's power, she could feel the space around her. The whiteness of the space was more than the eye could see, she could feel traces of power and how it was like a path that would guide her in there.

"So this is what it looks like to have her power..." Amaryllis looked at the immense amount of energy and how it could be used to make anything that she couldn't make. "What's that... it's time for me to focus on that place first," she looked at the narrow space where it weirdly didn't ooze any energy at all.

"The fact that I can't sense anything, now I understand why Luciel looked so terrified after she witnessed the thing that exist in there," Amaryllis said as she collected some courage to enter that narrow space. "I have no time idling like this. I have to go now," she shook her head and put her hand on the barrier.

Amaryllis entered the narrow space and she was fine as she expected, but what made her nervous was the fact she still couldn't feel anything. She then walked the narrow path so carefully because she was preparing herself for what she was going to witness.

When she saw the darkness in front of her, she started to feel the immense power it released. She could tell that darkness belonged to the abyss, and the fact that it was darker and thicker than she had ever seen made it even scarier.

"One abyss is enough to devour anything, but to think there are a lot of them in there, what were you thinking to put them all in the same place," Amaryllis squinted her eyes as she walked further and the light that accompanied her slowly faded away, devoured by the darkness.

The moment she set her foot in that abyss, she felt like her body was being pulled from all directions. She hadn't even seen what was in front of her, and yet the darkness was trying to devour her. Although she was being pulled, she could resist them since the forces were quite weak to take her power away.

She used Aevia's power and lit up the abyss to see what was in front of her, and she was petrified when she saw dozens of abysses around her in different forms. She realized that those beings were so-called the prototype of Mykel. Those bodies had no life in them and they were nothing but an empty shell, but their power which was already taken away from them was still lingering around their bodies.

"Someone's trash is someone else's treasure. Don't mind me, I'm going to take them all since you don't need them anymore," Amaryllis said and took them all, putting them in a different space so her clones could analyze them.

She didn't leave immediately after she took all of them because she felt a faint energy in that space. She couldn't find it or trace it, but she knew there was something else in there. She then decided to go and explore the space to find out where that faint energy was coming from and what it was.

After wasting a lot of time trying to find that faint energy, she didn't find anything in that space even though she had checked every corner of that space. When she was about to leave after she gave up on looking for the source of the energy, she stumbled upon an idea.

She used Aevia's power to manipulate the space around her and tried to reveal anything that filled the space. She turned the space upside down like flipping a piece of paper, and when she did that, she saw something more shocking.

"What is this..." Amaryllis' eyes were shaking when she saw Aevia being shackled and chained to a clock. "What the meaning of this sight..." her voice trembling and she couldn't stop staring at it.

She was too scared to approach it, but at the same time, she was curious why Aevia was in there, shackled and chained to a clock. There was one thing that she realized, Aevia shouldn't have another self since she was a singularity where her existence was beyond time and space. The fact there was another her in there made Amaryllis wonder and want to find the answer.

"Do I want to deal with this right now?" Amaryllis mumbled as she kept staring at Aevia who hadn't moved a muscle from a far distance. "I don't want to jeopardize the plan for my own curiosity. This might be one of the traps that she scattered around to sabotage me since she knew my personality," she added and then left without giving a look back at Aevia.

Aevia slowly opened her eyes after she noticed a scent, but she couldn't see anything. She then closed her eyes again weakly as she tried to rattle the shackles and chains on her body.
