Chapter 411 Slowly but surely.
Aevia was observing the world she had created, seeing how humans and other living beings lived as they were meant to be. But, when she was admiring her own creation, she noticed a mass of darkness descended from space. She didn't know what it was, but she could feel the power from within the abyss that resonated with hers. She planned to go and check it out, but then something broke in the space in her realm, and saw unfamiliar faces coming out of it.
Aurea who had been waiting for this moment dashed forward and was already right in front of Aevia in almost an instant. She swung her sword at Aevia's neck, but before the blade could touch Aevia's skin, it shattered into pieces. She was grinning when she saw her blade shattered because she was just a distraction for Luciel who had become Metatron to appear right behind Aevia.
Aevia who had just realized that immediately stopped the time, but to her surprise, none of them were affected by it. At that moment she realized those unknown beings that had come to her realm possessed the same power as hers, making them immune to time-stopping. She couldn't do anything else and endured the thing that Luciel was about to hit her with.
Luciel released her [Absolute] and cut Aevia in half, shocking Aevia that a sword could cut her and even managed to cut her body in half. But before she could even replace her state with her from the past, she was cut into tiny pieces by Luciel and Jeanne. She felt pain for the first time and she had no idea how she felt pain, and how it stopped her from replacing herself with her body from the past.
Aevia couldn't get anything from them and she couldn't fight them all at once knowing how strong they were. She decided to manipulate the clock and stop the time completely so she could reset everything back to nothing. But, when she tried to manipulate the clock, someone prevented her from doing so, which shocked her.
She used the gap to replace her body with herself from the past and tried to understand the situation. Weirdly enough, those people who came to her realm didn't make a move at all, only staring at her from the distance.
(At the same time in a space where Mykel, Elena, and Aevia were)
Both Mykel and Aevia were surprised that there was a force other than themselves trying to manipulate the clock. They knew it wasn't them, but it was Aevia herself who stopped that force from manipulating the clock. She had no idea that it was her past self that did it, and another thing that she noticed was that her connection to certain timelines in the past got cut off.
Mykel and Elena could hear Aevia's thoughts and they didn't want to assume anything to avoid their thoughts being heard by her. No matter what was going on, it gave him a bit of relief and it gave him another reason to keep fighting Aevia.
Aevia and Mykel had been throwing punches and kicks at each other longer than Mykel had spent his time in the novel world. He was taking Aevia's power like a parasite and used it to strengthen his body and power. So no matter how long they were going to keep doing that, Aevia was the one who lost the most.
Aevia was still the most powerful being in that realm, and no matter how strong Mykel was and how much power he stole, she still had an infinite amount of power. She showed no mercy as she ripped Mykel's limbs one by one and then ripped his chest and heart to the point he couldn't do anything to stop her.
Mykel's body kept regenerating as fast as he blinked his eyes, but he couldn't handle Aevia on her own when she was serious about killing him. The reason why she didn't want to obliterate him was because it took a toll on her body and power as well.
Mykel didn't care about the pain or how many times he got butchered to pieces. All he cared about was that Aevia wouldn't be able to touch Elena and that was his only purpose there.
Elena who had been resting and enduring the pain had something within her that sprouted. She who had grown stronger and Aevia who had grown weaker, it made her able to take over the situation for a bit.
When Elena stood up, she stared at Aevia with a cold stare, and then she reached out her hand at her. The moment she clenched her fist, both Aevia and Mykel felt a massive pressure within their chests and stopped them from moving.
Although Elena managed to overpower Aevia's power, she collapsed again and this time she couldn't move her body at all. But she did what she was planning to do which was to take a big chunk of Aevia's power and make it hers since her current energy was thicker and denser than Aevia's.
"A second is all I need to kill her. How long are you going to be able to keep your pace up, Mykel?" Aevia asked as she choked Mykel and crushed his pipe. "She looks so vulnerable. A gentle touch of my hand would be enough to kill her," she looked at Elena and how close she was, but she couldn't reach her at all.
Aevia threw Mykel away and cast a shackle on him, the same shackle that shackled Aevia from the abandoned space. Mykel took his time to break the shackles, and he knew it would be impossible for him to stop her. But, something similar happened, someone manipulated the clock again and it affected Aevia.
Once again, Aevia lost a part of her past and she started to understand the situation. She believed Amaryllis and the others were messing with the timeline behind her back. The fact she was stuck in there and needed her past and future self made her in a tight spot because she would gradually lose the power within her.
Aevia ignored her worries because once Elena died, all the problems would disappear with her. She was about to grab Elena, but Mykel pulled her hair back and slammed her to the ground.
"That was close..." Mykel looked down at Aevia as he sat on top of her. "You won't be able to touch her as long as I'm here," he pointed out as he released a strong power and ran through Aevia's body and exploded it, and devoured the mixed energy inside her.
Aevia didn't let Mykel devour more of her power so she replaced her current self with the one in the past. She pushed Mykel away as she ripped his limbs, but then she lost her power again out of nowhere. She looked at the space around her and noticed that Elena's life energy had overwhelmed the space.
Before she could do anything, the clock was being manipulated again and it started to annoy her. She never thought her past self would be so pathetic to rely on that instead of fighting. But then she noticed that she wouldn't use that kind of method unless she knew she couldn't win.
"What's happening out there..." Aevia gritted her teeth as she clenched her fists and stared at Mykel.
(Back into the past)
Aevia looked at her left hand which had been cut off by Jeanne and the fact it took a while for her to regenerate and how it gave her the feeling of pain. She realized that her future of herself was also in a similar state, or perhaps even worse than hers. She knew it was her future self that prevented her from resetting the time, and the fact there was a barrier that made her unable to see beyond the future of the current Aevia.
"What's this? I was waiting for this moment and yet it's so underwhelming," Aurea looked at Aevia and she was annoyed and disappointed by the fact she didn't have to do much to defeat Aevia.
"The real Aevia is far in the future. Be patient and just keep killing her until there's no more Aevia from the past," Lyneth responded as she stared at Aevia.
Aevia already knew of their plans, and she didn't have any choice but to fight them. It didn't matter if she died or replaced herself from a different timeline, but the fact that Lyneth could move timelines just like her made it difficult to stop them. The worst part was the fact Amaryllis could steal her power and use it against her just like Mykel.
Sasha appeared with her army and that was when Aevia noticed that the massive abyss that she saw in the universe was the army behind Sasha. She looked into the world she had created and it was gone, nothing was left because Sasha and her army had devoured everything.
"Are you done?" Lyneth looked at Sasha.
"Yeah, I'm done," Sasha nodded her head. Explore more at My Virtual Library Empire
"Alright, it's time to move forward. No more playing," Lyneth said.
Luciel and the others readied their stances and it was time for them to hunt Aevia down and destroy as many timelines as they could.
What do you think?
