Chapter 1026: A Silent Beckoning

TL: GoldenLung

The sky was clearly empty, devoid of anything, yet it seemed as if some kind of presence was beckoning to him. Yes, beckoning to him.

It was a presence so familiar, it felt like a part of his own body—right there in the air. But amidst that familiar call, he also sensed an overwhelming danger. He mustn’t go there—if he did, he would surely die. That was the feeling.

This conflicting sensation left Lan Xuanyu momentarily stunned, nearly forgetting the purpose of his visit.

What was it? What was hidden in the sky?

"Little Trea, do you feel it?" Lan Xuanyu asked the Treasure Seeking Beast inwardly.

"Huh? Feel what, Master?" the Treasure Seeking Beast responded, a bit confused.

Lan Xuanyu was startled. The Treasure Seeking Beast didn’t sense it? That meant only he could feel it. And the Treasure Seeking Beast, although not good at combat, possessed Divine Sense. On the spiritual level, it was of divine rank, far stronger than him.

Yet even so, it couldn't sense the presence in the air. What did that mean? It meant that it was a unique aura that only he could detect.

Focusing inward, Lan Xuanyu discovered that at the core of his bloodline vortex, his Dragon Core was glowing more brightly than usual, and his bloodline power was slightly agitated. Perhaps that was why he felt so strongly.

Could it be related to the Dragon God's bloodline? If so, then it was connected to the Dragon Clan. Could the secret in the sky be a major secret hidden by the Celestial Dragon Clan? Perhaps even one tied to the legendary Dragonification.

Lan Xuanyu took a deep breath, suppressing his inner impulse. He couldn’t rush into the sky to explore this secret right now. Even with the Emerald Demon Warship, he might never return. He’d wait until he was stronger.

Without a doubt, Celestial Dragon City was a place he would have to return to one day. But now, he was still too weak and didn’t have the power to seek opportunities here.

He put away his thoughts and calmed himself, a faint smile appearing on his face. Better to focus on the main goal of his visit for now.

As he thought, he quickened his pace and had the Treasure Seeking Beast activate its divine sense to scan for other presences nearby.

After walking for about ten minutes, he began to slow down and entered a narrower street.

After some time, he emerged onto a broader avenue.

Fenglong City was already massive, but Celestial Dragon City was even larger—only Celestial Steed City in the Dragon Horse Galaxy could rival it.

Lan Xuanyu concealed his aura. He was waiting for the right moment while also sensing the pulse of this city.

Celestial Dragon City was truly bustling, more so than any city Lan Xuanyu had ever seen. He noticed many dragonkin creatures dressed in clothing and adorned with accessories.

Here, the most popular items seemed to be those glittering, translucent accessories. As he passed by some shops, most of them were selling this type of merchandise.

Time passed, and night gradually fell. The crowds thinned. No matter how prosperous a city, there came a time for rest—though this one rested later than most.

It wasn't until late at night that Lan Xuanyu stopped in a dark corner of a small alley and communicated with the Treasure Seeking Beast.

With a flash of green light, the Emerald Demon Warship silently appeared beside him. It was so small that, under his control, it clung to a wall like a large bird, ready for him to enter and escape at any moment.

"Little Trea, let's begin," Lan Xuanyu said inwardly.

In the next instant, the Treasure Seeking Beast emerged from his brow. “Master, are you sure about this?”

Lan Xuanyu nodded. “We must. This is the real reason I came to Celestial Dragon Planet.”

The Treasure Seeking Beast said no more. Lan Xuanyu took out a piece of silvery metal from his Ring of Fate and handed it over.

Divine sense surged around the Treasure Seeking Beast, solidifying into a tangible form. Within this field, a silver figure emerged.

The Sleepy Bug was sleeping soundly, only stirring when it sensed something and opened its eyes groggily to look at Lan Xuanyu.

Lan Xuanyu smiled and handed over the piece of magisteel. “Here, time to eat.”

Delighted, the Sleepy Bug devoured the magisteel whole. The hard metal was like tofu in its mouth—easily chewed and swallowed. Instantly, its silvery glow grew brighter.

Lan Xuanyu nodded to the Treasure Seeking Beast.

In the next moment, the Treasure Seeking Beast retracted its condensed divine sense.

A silver wave rippled out from the Sleepy Bug, and the space around them instantly resonated. Everything nearby, including the building, seemed to distort.

“Go!” Lan Xuanyu called out. With a flash of light, the Treasure Seeking Beast wrapped the Sleepy Bug and returned to his brow.

Lan Xuanyu leapt into the Emerald Demon Warship, which vanished at extreme speed, leaving only a flash of green light.

Just seconds after his departure, two silver figures appeared—tall members of the Spaceborne Clan.

After their initial shock, they were overjoyed and excited.

“That’s the aura of the Spatial Bug—no mistake about it! Nothing else could cause such a level of spatial fluctuation. The Spatial Bug is on Celestial Dragon Planet, in Celestial Dragon City! It must be the Celestial Dragon Clan!”

Lan Xuanyu didn’t know and didn’t want to know how Celestial Dragon City would react. He wasn’t sure if what he’d done would have the intended effect—but he was eighty percent confident it would stir up a storm.

His true purpose for coming to Celestial Dragon Planet was to make the Spatial Bug appear and let all the top powerhouses sense it.

To put it bluntly, it was a setup—a frame job. But who was he framing? Of course, it was the Celestial Dragon Clan, the ones he hated most.

After the explosion of Planet Seventy-Six, the destructive power of the Space Origin Crystals and condensed space liquid had driven the entire Spaceborne Clan mad. Otherwise, they wouldn't have gone to such lengths to buy back Space Origin Crystals on Celestial Dragon Planet.

To the Spaceborne Clan, Space Origin Crystals were not just a resource but a treasure essential for their survival and strength. Without them, their decline was certain—something everyone knew. So they were willing to pay any price.

They probably didn’t even know the Spatial Bug had been taken—they might’ve thought it was destroyed in the blast.

After all, Planet Seventy-Six was heavily guarded.

Logically, the Spaceborne Clan’s first thought would be that the Spatial Bug malfunctioned, causing the explosion. But a closer investigation would reveal traces of the Dragon’s Wrath, showing the blast was man-made. And Lan Xuanyu and his team had used anti-matter missiles to breach the planet’s shield—proof that someone had infiltrated at that time.

Yet the Spaceborne Clan never found their tracks. They didn’t know whether the Spatial Bug had been taken or destroyed.
