Evil Witch Saves the World

The three of them gathered around the dining table, and with the warm-toned lighting, this enormous mansion felt much cozier.

For Bai An'an, who had never really eaten good food before, she had been busy eating ever since she invited the maid to join them at the table.

Beside her, Bai Xuerou was happily placing food into Bai An'an's bowl, quickly adding more meat whenever a piece was gone, afraid that her daughter might go hungry. Because of this continuous feeding, Bai An'an eventually couldn't eat anymore, her cheeks stuffed with meat like a little hamster.

As for the maid whom Bai An'an had invited to the table, she would only take a few bites after watching Bai Xuerou's movements, afraid that any misstep might displease her mistress.

And when she looked at Bai An'an, her eyes were filled with guilt.

After dinner, Bai Xuerou walked over to Bai An'an, picked her up, and carried her to the huge sofa. Then she called out to the maid who was clearing the dishes.

"Yan, put on a movie for me and An'an, the one I used to love watching."

In the end, the nun is falsely accused of witchcraft for associating with the witch and is sentenced to death by burning. The witch, driven mad by her dear friend's death, kills everyone who had framed the nun, and then commits suicide to join her friend in the afterlife.

Seeing the witch and nun die in a field of red roses, Bai An'an couldn't help but shed tears.

She wasn't a child; she understood this kind of movie.

"An'an, what did you think of the movie?" Bai Xuerou stroked Bai An'an's head, patting her small back and comforting her softly.

"Waaah... Mom, the ending was so tragic. Why wasn't there a prince to save them?" Bai An'an expressed her honest thoughts without hesitation. She couldn't help but wonder, although she hadn't seen many movies, shouldn't this kind of film typically have a handsome male protagonist come to the rescue?

Bai An'an was innocent and cute at heart, but that didn't mean others were too. Hearing this, Bai Xuerou's arms tightened around her daughter.

But quickly, she relaxed again and explained, "That's because the nun and the witch were lovers. No prince would rescue two people who would never belong to him."

Just like the witch from the movie she had just watched...

"Since An'an wants to know the answer so badly, I'll tell you. Your mother, me, is a witch. And you don't have a father, only a mother..."

Before Bai An'an could despair, Bai Xuerou said these words, and then she watched as her body was carried away by Bai Xuerou.

How terrifying... Am I going to die again? My mother... is actually a witch?!

Bai An'an shed tears before her consciousness faded again.
