Chapter 260 Genreia's Slient Responsibility

The princess paused for a few seconds, taking a slow breath in and then exhaling before she began, "My name is Genreia, daughter of the green dragon monarch, ruler of the green lands of Arcadia, and also heir to his throne."

Akun gazed at her, his purple eyes seeming to glow slightly as he briefly glanced at Mellin and Kaldarix. A thoughtful expression crossed his face. "I thought maybe what she said would be familiar to them because they were once dragons, but I guess it seems they really don't have their memories from when they were alive," Akun sighed.

Meanwhile, Princess Genreia mused, "Although I was not able to gaze at the dragon god's status window, I was able to gaze at the ones of the dragon monarchs. It seems that they have become puppets of some kind.

I don't detect any enslavement magic, and although they are just standing there, they are not giving off any life energy." She then narrowed her gaze, her green eyes shining slightly as she mused further, "Most likely, they are not the same dragon monarchs from before, but they both seem to have the exact same capabilities, such as their stats and skills.

However, they are missing a fundamental skill all dragons have, which is our dragon eyes and our dragon heart, allowing us to freely command our particular element."

She continued, "Instead, it seems this Identity skill and the ice and gold manipulation skills that they possess have taken their place, not having the same aura but still allowing them to wield their powers."

Suddenly, Akun's voice cut through her thoughts as he directed his gaze at her and asked, "So, how did you get here, and what are your motives?" His voice suddenly got more serious as he added, "And be sure to also tell me what this god contract skill of yours is; I am most curious."

The princess paused, gazing at Akun as she tilted her head to look at him on his elevated throne. She mused, "Although I don't know what is going on, I will have to get on this dragon god's good side. Although I don't know of his origins and who exactly he is, I can't let that stop me from doing what I must. I have to get on his good side so he can help me continue the dragon race.

He is also a god, so I'm sure our children shall be even stronger than the original race of dragons. So I must answer him honestly, promptly, and politely."

She smiled softly then replied, "My lord, I came here from the past, from the day the gods invaded our home. My motives are simple, my lord," she blushed slightly as she added, "the continuation of our race. As for my skill, it is one that allows me to make a contract agreement with a god, allowing them to directly give me something I will exchange for something I possess.

That is also how I came here; I made a contract with the goddess of time. In exchange for my father's life, she would send me to a time when Arcadia was peaceful again, a time when I would hopefully be able to continue our race."

She became slightly saddened as she added, "I knew it was basically impossible that the dragons would be able to survive eradication at the hands of the gods, but I didn't let that discourage me. I also asked to be sent to the future only if dragons still existed."

Akun absorbed her words in silence. He then let out a sigh and proceeded to call forth the goddess of time, Chrono Nexus. "Come forth," his words seemed to echo through the very fabric of reality. Out of a sudden rift that opened up beside him, she emerged, slowly taking steps into the throne room.

As she stepped in, Kaldarix, Mellin, Genreia, and Gideon were all suddenly on guard, as they had not expected or ever seen such a phenomenon or felt such a powerful presence that was nearly on par with Akun.

Suddenly, Akun's voice cut through the tension, putting them at ease, "Relax, all of you. She is with me."@@novelbin@@

As Chrono Nexus emerged, she giggled and said, "You called me quite early, master. What is the occasion?" She hurried over to his side, placing her arms on the left armrest of his throne as she leaned in close.

As Genreia saw the goddess of time call Akun "master," she was left utterly speechless and confused. The way the goddess acted was like a child excited to see her father or maybe a woman happy to see the love of her life. It created a rather awkward atmosphere in the throne room.

Akun removed his hand from the armrest, then placed it on Chrono Nexus's face and pushed her away because she was getting too close to his face. He then said, "I called you to ask you questions, not to accommodate any of your childish playtimes."

She let out a sigh and said, "Well, that's not fun." She then turned her cosmic gaze at Princess Genreia, causing her to visibly shiver in shock as the goddess looked at her. Chrono Nexus then asked, "And I guess the reason you called me here is because of her, the princess of the green dragon tribe?"

Chrono Nexus suddenly paused, her mind seeming to piece together rather awkward pieces of a puzzle her own mind came up with. This caused her to turn around and ask Akun, "Wait, did you agree to marry her?" She seemed rather worried, as if she had just witnessed a deep fear being realized.

Akun was slightly caught off guard by her question, causing him to blush slightly as he swiftly responded, "And what the hell made you come up with that conclusion? I only called you here because I want to find out if she really did make some contract with you. What's up with you suddenly throwing weird questions my way?"

The atmosphere in the throne room suddenly changed from its earlier tense state to a rather awkward one.
