F{h*F5,*LjChapter 773: Glancing Worriedly at Sylvan Cheney
The inside of the car was warm, the driver had switched on the light.
Sylvan Cheney also got into the car.
“Drive,” commanded Sylvan, mildly furrowing his eyebrows.
Drinking too much indeed makes your head hurt quite a lot.
There was even a vague feeling of fatigue, after he got into the car, he lent back on the seat, supporting his forehead with one hand.
“Mr. Cheney, are you feeling a bit unwell? I have some candy made by our family’s nanny here. It’s really effective if you take it after drinking, I like to have it with me,” said Joan Harry.
As she spoke, Joan took out a bottle of colourful candy from her purse.
She poured one into her hand and handed it to Sylvan.
Jean’s eyes sparkled as she watched Sylvan.
“Thank you,” Sylvan accepted it.
Joan poured out a yellow candy for herself.
“Our nanny is very thoughtful, she knows my dad has many social obligations, so she made these candies for him to carry around. Though it’s not as effective as hangover tea, it helps to alleviate drunkenness,” Joan explained to Sylvan.
Her voice was very soft and gentle.
Sylvan rubbed his temples without saying anything.
Sometimes, Joan would glance at Sylvan with concern.
“Mr. Cheney, you should rest for a while. My dad got it wrong today; the party went on too late, especially during this heavy rain,” said Joan.
“That’s not necessary.”
“Mr. Cheney, here are your clothes, you shouldn’t catch a cold,” said Joan as she took off Sylvan’s suit jacket that she was wearing.
The car was warm, and even in her dress, Joan didn’t feel cold.
Sylvan didn’t say much, he just took his suit.
Because of the rain, the car moved slowly, threading its way through the rain and mist.
The road was very quiet, with only occasional cars passing by.
The colourful lights in the rain looked a bit blurry and mysterious.
Joan wasn’t sleepy; sometimes, she would play with her phone, at other times, she would lean on her hand and look out of the window.
She couldn’t see the view outside very well as the rainwater snaked down the windowpane.
In the dim light, her small face was especially quiet and delicate, replete with the innocence of a young woman in her early twenties.
The car quieted down, you could even hear the sound of heavy rain outside.
Joan dared to sneak a glance at Sylvan, seeing that his eyes were shut, she didn’t dare disturb him.
Remembering that she hadn’t finished her graduation thesis, she took a tablet out of her bag, gently hitting the keyboard.
When she encountered something she didn’t understand, she would furrow her brow.
“Debt restructuring, Debt and Equity Swap…”
When Joan got to this section, she hesitated and stopped tapping, her eyes staring at the screen.
After thinking for a long time, she still couldn’t figure out what to write next.
She browsed the electronic books, sliding her fingers on the tablet.
“The fair value of cash assets naturally needs to exceed the debtor’s due debt,” Sylvan opened his eyes and began flatly, “Three years ago, the Lonton Charles Family Business had a very classic instance you he can look up for some basic information on Google. However, you need to analyze some of the details”
“I know about that case, but there’s not much about it online,” Joan said anxiously.
Sylvan furrowed his brow slightly, moved his hand, and pointed at her tablet.
Joan understood and handed him the tablet.@@novelbin@@
Sylvan’s slender fingers slid across the tablet’s screen, entering a private network and typing in a few numerical passwords.
From the way he looked at the tablet, there was an immeasurable allure about him.
Joan didn’t expect that Sylvan was still awake, let alone helping her with her thesis.
What do you think?
