Chapter 810: Chapter 810 Jasmine Yale was Raised by Mr. Cheney
She had seen Jasmine Yale, who, despite being stubborn, had a delicate and frail frame.
At a glance, she appeared to be a young lady who had been pampered since childhood.
She had also heard that Jasmine was raised by Mr. Cheney, and since living in the Cheney Residence, she never experienced any hardships.
Her life and growth trajectory were just like that of an ordinary little girl: studying, taking exams, working.
How could such a little girl survive in such adverse weather and environmental conditions?
Lilac Serval’s heart revealed a hidden worry, her concern was no less than Sylvan’s, and suddenly she felt somewhat restless.
After drinking a few more sips of black tea, she opened her tablet—
Checking the geography and weather summary near the kindergarten.
It truly was an elite kindergarten, with everything including swimming pools, gyms, and a small amusement park, occupying a vast area.
The playground area next to the back gate of the kindergarten, once the back gate was open, it led to the scenic mountains.
Lilac Serval used her finger to slide, zoom in, and out to check the geographic location.
Just five minutes into looking, Charles Mcintosh’s call came.
“Little Lilac.”
“What’s up.”
“I just contacted Mr. Cheney, and I heard things aren’t looking good.”
“I’ve made contact as well, and I’m now looking into the nearby geography, hoping to help.”
“You come to the hospital, and we can study it together, I’m more familiar with that area, it’s just that I can’t move right now, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak,” Charles sighed softly, “You know, I can’t sit back and do nothing.”
Lilac Serval paused for a moment, and her fingers stopped sliding.
What Charles said made sense.
She knew nothing about Landon, and could make out nothing useful on her own here.
A glimmer of light passed through her somber eyes, and after a long while, she slowly said, “I’m on my way now.”
Lilac Serval hung up the phone, quickly packed her bag, grabbed her tablet, and went downstairs.
She changed into a pair of flat boots, didn’t wear makeup, looking a bit pale.
The Hilton Hotel where she was staying was not far from Charles’s hospital, just a fifteen-minute drive away.
As she entered the hospital, she smelled the pungent odor of disinfectant, especially when she entered Charles’s ward.
The smell of disinfectant mixed with the scent of iodine.
Lilac Serval frowned.
Charles was indeed seriously injured, his arm was wrapped in gauze, and he had an IV drip in his hand.
When Lilac Serval entered, he was lying quietly with his eyes closed.
His handsome face also bore a bruise, though it had been treated, it would probably take many days to heal.
As the door opened, Charles’s eyes opened.
In front of him was the silhouette of Lilac Serval, tall and slim, wrapped in a black and white checked long coat.
Her wavy long hair fell atop her shoulders, she was not wearing makeup today, which made her look much more approachable, not as unapproachable as the last few days.
“You’re here,” Charles spoke.
Even saying a word was a struggle, his body full of pain, feeling as though his bones were falling apart.
Charles didn’t mind Lilac Serval seeing him in a disheveled state, his lips curved into a faint upward arc.
“I checked the back mountain, the mountain range is continuous, the trees are dense, indeed there are many hiding places, and they won’t be easy to find. The weather outside is stormy and rainy now, and the temperature is low, it will drop further at night, I’m afraid it will drop below zero,” Lilac Serval went straight to the point.
As she spoke, she took out the tablet from her bag, turned it on, and sat beside Charles’s bed.
She found a position where he could see, and adjusted the screen brightness.
Charles tugged the corner of his lips, helpless.
She and he, they really didn’t exchange superfluous words.
If it weren’t for the fact that they both worked for Sylvan, she probably would never see him again in her life.
What do you think?
