Chapter 1444

Chapter 1444: 659 Loyalty_1 Chapter 1444: 659 Loyalty_1 “What do you think Julius Sutton is up to right now?”

Samuel pondered: “Princess, if you truly wish to meet Guard Sutton, you could access the Holy Temple.

Under the guise of meeting the Holy Master, as a princess, the Master could hardly shut you out.”

“That’s a great idea, I’m going right now.” Randa said and did as she promised.

She promptly rode to the Holy Temple, but was stopped by Silver Armor Guards before she could approach the main entrance.

“I am Randa.

I have long admired the Holy Master, so I wish to pay him a visit.

I hope you will kindly allow that.”

The heavy door opened, and a young man with white skin and a round face came out.

...

He bowed with a smile: “Princess, please return.

The Holy Master is in seclusion, and is not receiving visitors.”

Randa glanced at the temple behind him; there lay a straight boulevard extending into the unknown distance, creating an air of mystery and spirituality.

Randa’s curiosity about the world behind the door grew; she thought – Julius Sutton must be in there.

“My apologies for intruding.”

White Tiger watched Randa’s figure disappear into the distance before he smilingly turned back and entered the massive gate.

The heavy doors slowly closed, shutting out all the noise of the world.

Randa stepped out onto the street where the Holy Temple was situated.

The area within a two-kilometer radius was deserted.

Instead of heading straight back to the city center, she circled the temple and headed south.

She thought, no matter how large the temple was, it must have an end.

But after walking for half an hour, she still hadn’t reached it.

Wiping the sweat from her forehead, she sighed.

“How large is this temple, anyway?”

As she pressed on, she came upon Snow Cedar Forest.

Not daring to proceed, her intuition told her that the mysterious forest might be dangerous.

“Princess, should we return?

This place…

it frightens me,” Samuel cautioned.

“What’s there to be afraid of?

It’s broad daylight, can there be ghosts?”

As soon as she finished speaking, a chilly breeze blew out of the Snow Cedar Forest, making her shiver to the bone.

Randa pulled Samuel and ran.

They sprinted out for several kilometers before completely exhausting themselves and collapsing on the ground.

Sticky cold sweat clung to her soaked clothes, making her uncomfortable.

With a pale face, Randa muttered, “What in the world is this place?”

Supporting each other, Randa and Samuel slowly walked away.

Once they disappeared from sight, two Silver Armor Guards emerged from the shadows.

What Randa didn’t know was that if they had stepped into Snow Cedar Forest, they would never have been able to come out.

After freshening up, Randa sat in front of a mirror, lost in thought.

Samuel walked in holding an invitation.

“Princess, this just arrived.”

Randa opened it and glanced at it: “The Queen Consort’s birthday banquet, inviting me to attend.”

“So, Princess, are you planning on going?”

“Of course, I must.” Randa showed a faint smile.

“Otherwise, wouldn’t I be disrespecting the Queen Consort?

I’m at her mercy now; if I don’t watch my step, I’ll be torn apart.”

Randa closed the invitation “The King is gravely ill, whether it’s true or not is doubtful.

The clash between the two princes is escalating; I am already caught in the middle of it.

All I can do now is to find my own way out.”

Rubbing her temples as a headache started to creep in, she thought: Prince Jonathan is foolish and conceited, Prince Brooklyn is shrewd and cunning.

Each has their own backing.

No matter who wins, I won’t end up well.

Initially, it was the Queen Consort who proposed the marriage alliance, hoping to seek external support for her son.

Who would have known that the foolish Prince Jonathan would narrow down the path upon arrival?

As for Prince Brooklyn, he had substantial power, and didn’t need the support of a foreign princess to consolidate his influence.

Her current status was quite awkward.

The only solution at the moment would be to voluntarily align herself with Prince Brooklyn, but if she did so, she would forever be at his mercy, which was not the outcome she desired.

Nevermind, she would take it one step at a time.

Due to the King’s severe illness, the Queen Consort’s birthday banquet was not held lavishly, only inviting close noble ladies to gather in the palace.

When Randa arrived, everyone was already seated.

The hostile glares from the noble ladies made her feel like they wanted to skin her alive.

The Queen Consort generously said: “Randa, come sit next to me.”

Randa instinctively knew something was off; the Queen Consort’s smile was excessively warm.

What was this woman up to?

She quietly settled down next to the Queen Consort.

The Queen Consort gently held her hand: “I’ve heard that you and Nancy had a little disagreement recently.

She’s a girl I saw grow up, well-intentioned, just a bit spoiled.

Do not take it to heart.”

The Queen Consort beckoned to the gathering: “Nancy, come here.”
