Chapter 147- Necessary step(2)

“Commander Luna, tell me something. How difficult it can be to keep an eye on a seventeen-year-old teenager?”

Inside a dark room, four people were sitting behind a semi-circular table as they faced a short silver-headed woman who was given the duty to monitor Minoru.

Minoru was a suspect of being inhumane. In the last incident that occurred around four days ago, in which an agent got killed, they found some evidence that dictated Minoru’s involvement with the Dark Side. 

Naturally, people were assigned to keep a close eye on the boy, and if they could gather enough evidence, they could have brought him in for interrogation.

However, the commander who took charge of this mission failed to not only attain any evidence but also lost contact with the target.

“There is a reason why we lost our tracker on the target, sir.” The agent began, “The tracker we planted on him was removed by the doctor who operated on the target-”

“I don't care!” The bespectacled man slammed his hand on the table and yelled at the woman.

His face was red in anger, and his eyes glared daggers at Luna as he said, “You had the resources to keep a close watch on him even without the tracker, but you grew irresponsible and solely relied on the device!”

Luna didn't say anything since no one could have guessed that the target would suddenly meet an accident, and also, she was provided with six immature agents to begin with. If she had sent them before Minoru they would have gotten caught easily.

But naturally, saying that here would seem like she is just making excuses.

There was a brief pause before the bespectacled man voiced, “It's over for you, agent. You are getting transferred to shore security, starting tomorrow.”

Luna’s eyes widened, “You can't do this to me…I have fought for seven long years to get here. You can't just throw me away!”

“You don't need to tell me what I can do and what I cannot!” The man retaliated, looking far more displeased now. 

Anyone else they would have been, and Luna might have lost her temper by now. However, doing anything impulsively would meet immediate exclusion from the corps.

Clenching her fist behind her back, she pleaded, “Just forty-eight hours, sir…I will do anything in my power to get evidence of Fujiawara’s Minoru origin. And I promise to not get noticed by the target.”

Luna cannot sacrifice her current job, or she will never get the chance to take her revenge on that monster who stole everything away from her. She cannot and will not!

Even if she has to turn rogue for that…

The lady sitting on the left, spoke up, “You are very well aware, agent, that our organization doesn't work on promises. Tell me, what will you do if you fail to fulfill what you are committing here?”

Her expression turned severe, as the silver head spoke in a serious voice, “Then I will stop being a Vanquisher.”

A heavy silence descended in the room when Luna stated the punishment she was ready to accept in case she failed at collecting evidence against Minoru.

The council whispered things to each other before the bespectacled one told her,

“You have two days, remember that.”

Luna gave a firm nod, “Understood.”

This time, she is going to rely only on a single person for this.

Herself.

It has been three days since Minoru was met by an accident. A fast-paced car hit him, and the driver was sentenced to jail. It turned out the driver was already a suspect in several crimes, so the punishment was far more severe than it should have been for a hit-and-run case. 

The Fujiwara family has been worried to death for the past three days, barely eating and sleeping.

The doctors said that there was minor swelling near his brain stem and internal bleeding. Fortunately, there was no lasting damage, but he warned them about possible trauma.

Shiori has fainted thrice by now—one time being when she saw her brother’s bloodied form on the road. 

She was admitted to the hospital for a day as well. Thankfully, her mother and father were strong people or she wondered who would have taken care of them.

Although her mother seemed quite pale when Shiori came back to her senses, the way she ensured Shiori assured the younger one that everything would be fine. 

Now, before the OT they all stood, impatiently.

Finally, the doctor came out and said,”You can meet him now, but don't let him speak much yet.”

Mira was the first one to respond as she entered the room and was provided with gowns and masks which they needed to wear.

The trio made their way inside the room as the doctor made his way toward his office.

With his hands tucked in his pockets, the man greeted the people on his way before he finally entered his office and heaved a sigh,

“You are so gonna be the death of me one day.” The doctor glanced at the person sitting on the couch with a lazy expression.

Hearing the man, the black-haired female got up and seductively smiled at the man, “But you enjoy helping me, knowing the reward I would offer to you.”

The doctor felt his manhood turning stiff already as he gazed at the insanely hot body of the woman in front of him.

Chinatsu sat on the couch with her left leg draped over her right before she extended it forward.

“Kneel for me, Pochi~”

The doctor removed his coat and got down on his knees.

He held her feet and removed her high heels as he heard the woman of his dream asking, “Did you remove it?”

The doctor nodded, “Yes…as you said there was a tracking device in his neck. I have kept it in the lab, safely.”

Chinatsu feared her voice might get hurt by the Vanquishers, that's why she told the doctor to keep it away even after destroying it.

She received the task from her big sis to help out Minoru. That's why she flew all the way to the hotel where he was staying and planned this whole accident.

Seeing the doctor patiently waiting for her command, sniffing her feet and showing a feverish expression, Chinatsu grinned and told him,

“Go on, enjoy your reward.”
