Mom quickly put together a meal that wasn't fancy, but homey and delicious. Bai Zhongqi had become quite fussy about food and drink. At this point, Mom expressed her worries, "Son, are you really going to fight those aliens? In our current state, can we win?"

Bai Zhongqi could sense his mother's anxiety, and he reassured her, "I can't guarantee absolute certainty, but we have made ample preparations.
