Chapter 578 Using Magic Again!

High up in the air, above the vast area that was occupied by the Benevolent Guardian Sect, a figure phased out of thin air as if the wind gathered around to take his shape.

The sharp current of air and the high altitude had no effect on the man, His gaze looming over the figures moving on the ground among several other things. The vastness of the forest could not hide from his eyes.

Even though Noah was suspended in the air, there were no signs of him using qi around his body, but instead, there was another ethereal energy that radiated below his feet.

The energy was the magical power that he had been strengthening for the past years inside the Pagoda.

With his mana reserves increasing, Noah's strength reached the level of an advanced mage, giving him access to the spell to fly in the air freely among several other spells.

'Looks like they are either low on manpower or someone very cautious is leading the group.' As his gaze phased through the dense forest, Noah noticed several figures moving very secretly acting all suspiciously.

'They haven't a move even after moving through the area for so many days. Maybe they are waiting for reinforcements.' Noah remained motionless, observing the group with cold detachment. His dragon-like pupils contracted as he surveyed the area, taking note of every subtle movement below.

'Are they hiding in a temporary domain?' Noah concluded as he noticed changes in the space nearby. Even though he could make a move on them immediately, Noah did not have such intentions. 'Let them all gather. We can swoop through them at the same time. But if they want to sneak attack, they are in for a rude awakening.'

With a flick of his wrist, Noah summoned a thin thread of mana, invisible to all but the most powerful cultivators. He wove it through the air, silently connecting the threads of magic to the environment around him.

No one seemed to notice as a dark energy covered several kilometers around the sect almost instantly before vanishing without a trace.

After looking at his handiwork with satisfaction, Noah withdrew his gaze.

Turning away, he looked at Song Liu, who had, at some point, started looking straight at him from the ground. In fact, Noah had felt her gaze on him for a while.

Noah looked back at her with a small smile for a moment before disappearing into thin air. Staring at the spot where Noah had stood, Song Liu looked away, her face devoid of emotion as before.

Just like that, a week passed by. Life in the sect became calm, but it was only the calm before the storm.

Although the Red Dawn Cult had not attacked for a week, something finally happened on the final day.

In the depths of the wood, a spatial channel, invisible to the naked eye, housed a force that could raze down any second-tier force without suffering any losses.

One could see rows and rows of soldiers dressed in fiery red robes that covered them from head to toe.

They were standing in a shiny castle that seemed real yet illusory at the same time.

Among these figures, some were tall while others were short, their characteristics hidden underneath the loose robes.

Only two people in this whole domain were showing their faces. One of them was a man kneeling before the other, his face cold and indifferent.

Amon stood before the army of 1,000 soldiers he had gathered. His usual playfulness could no longer be seen on his face.

"What did you say just now?"

"I felt a strange kind of resonance coming from the peak they have their base on," the man reported calmly.

"Are you telling me they have one of our people trapped in their sect?" Amon did not appear to be too bothered by the news, but his eyes became colder than before.

"I only felt a vague trace, as I was trying to be careful not to be discovered." Amon narrowed his eyes at the reply.

"Prepare to move. We have to destroy the sect. No one goes against our cult and our purpose." A smirk appeared on the general's face as he added, "Even the pope has given me permission to use our 'resources' to wipe the sect."

As he spoke, Amon's eyes swept through the powerful force standing before him. The energy radiating off each one of them was no less than that of the core formation realm.

The man kneeling before Amon couldn't stop a drop of sweat from falling from his face upon hearing the mention of the pope.

Amon, on the other hand, ignored his reaction and walked forward. His figure started to rise into the air as he thought, 'Though it's annoying that she gave me the command not to make a move myself, my puppies are enough to deal with the likes of these disgusting brutes.'

"Get ready to rip apart, my puppies." Amon waved his hand, and the whole castle started to tremble before it broke into tiny fragments.@@novelbin@@

These fragments started to fall but then stopped and rushed toward one single point. With a single attack, the whole domain shattered.

*Crack*

*Boom!*

[Benevolent Guardian Sect]

The day was going as usual. The disciples were training themselves, preparing to break through to the next realm.

"Hey, have you noticed that 'senior sister' has been looking towards the forest these days?" Ma Li, the gossip queen, couldn't help but make a few assumptions in her heart as she neared the other girls, ready for gossip.

The girls rolled their eyes, aware of her nature, but still cast curious glances at Song Liu.

Even Ruo'er, who was usually indifferent to such talk, showed some emotion. It was true, as Ma Li had said, the young woman had indeed been looking toward the distant forest, where only dense, tall trees were visible.

While they were looking at Song Liu, she suddenly turned her gaze away and looked back at them coldly.

Ma Li and Xueyan trembled a little under her gaze and hurriedly looked away.

Song Liu glanced at Ruo'er before walking towards the mansion, puzzling the dark-skinned girl.

But before they could guess what happened, a deafening explosion spread through the whole forest.

*BOOM!*

A shock wave made its way toward the sect's mountain peak, only to be blocked by an intangible force that appeared out of nowhere.
