Chapter 1249 Part 1: Rhys Perry comes to the True Elements Society

From MC's Perspective:

The following day,

I was in class, listening to the lectures as usual. But my thoughts were getting disturbed. It's not that something was bothering me. The classes were going smoothly. No one came to trouble me.

Yet, I still had this feeling of uneasiness. It had intensified ever since I heard that a Magic Lord came to capture me.

Apart from the Head of the True Elements Society, Howard Mason, I hadn't heard of any second Magic Lord in the True Elements Society. Compared to the Yellow River Academy, the things I came to know about the True Elements Society were fewer.

I didn't know the exact strength of the True Elements Society. Even the Ancestors back at the Yellow River Academy were Magic Lords. For example, the crippled old man of the Sub-Taboo Hall.

Here, I didn't know whether any Ancestor Wizard existed. If there were, then what was their strength? The Head was already a Magic Lord, so their strength must be equal to or greater than his.

"Vincent Carey?"

"Are you listening or not?" the female lecturer asked.

Hearing that, I turned towards her and apologized. The female lecturer shook her head before continuing the lecture.

I tried to listen to her lecture, but I quickly gave up. Before I could find something to calm my unsettling heart, it would be difficult to understand the lessons.

Meanwhile,

Rhys Perry had come to the main city. He was going around the city to collect information, especially going to places of other Aristocratic Families in disguise.

Recently, a distance had been created between the Perry Family and the Aristocratic Families. The other families were not sharing some important information.

Rhys wanted to know what was happening in the True Elements Society. There had been some talks that Head Howard of the True Elements Society was going outside frequently for a trip.

Nobody knew what the trip was. It could be a business trip or an invitation from other Wizard Organizations. Rhys didn't care about other things.

He wanted to find out when Howard Mason would leave the campus next. If he went for another trip, then it would be the perfect opportunity for him to capture that kid.

Thinking about the only clue left— that kid who might know about his son Charon's killer— Rhys Perry's eyes turned cold. His heart urged him to barge into the campus to capture the kid.

But he had promised his father he wouldn't do anything without telling him. Right now, he was at one of the expensive restaurants.

The people who mostly came here were related to the Aristocratic Families. Rhys had concealed his mana. No one could sense his level unless the person was a level-9 Wizard or above.

Not long after, Rhys started to listen to people's conversations while eating. But most of the information was unwanted and boring.@@novelbin@@

Suddenly, he found two old men discussing his family matters. Rhys raised his eyebrows. Those who saw him that day had all been dealt with. Their memories had been altered with a magic spell.

Nobody knew of his return. But it didn't stop the Aristocratic Families from collecting information. These two old men were discussing Perry Family affairs.

Most of them were rumors. Rhys ignored them and continued eating.

Time passed.

After an hour, Rhys came to the teleportation platform that led to the Main Campus. The front guards saw his blonde hair before asking for his ID.

Rhys hesitated for a second before showing it to them. Before the guards could see his full name, he retrieved it.

The guards were taken aback. They felt it was rude, but they didn't dare to question a Perry Family member. They allowed him to use the platform.

Rhys told them the destination.

Swoosh!

The next second, he vanished from the spot and appeared inside the campus. He was standing on the platform that was inside the True Elements Society.

The guards here were startled after seeing the blonde-haired person. They didn't recognize him. One of them asked for the purpose of his visit.

There were different rules for visitors. They couldn't freely walk around the campus. There was a visitor hall next to them.

Rhys was taken there. He told them about Leona Perry. He wanted to meet her. Rhys was cooperating well, like any other normal visitor who came to the True Elements Society.

The guards weren't surprised. They informed the Elder of the Bloodline Beast Department. Then they returned to the Teleportation Platform to guard.

Rhys was alone there. But his heart was not calm. He had come here without informing his father and Cooper. Even if he had told them earlier, they wouldn't have allowed him.

He wanted to find a way to capture the kid.

On the other hand, the Bloodline Beast Department Elder quickly acted and informed Leona Perry.

Leona was attending class.

When she saw the message, she was petrified on the spot. Last night, her father had told her everything. Her uncle had returned.

But she never went to greet him out of fear. She had heard of Uncle Rhys from her father. Her uncle was a violent man and short-tempered.

Her father had warned her not to come in contact with him. But he had come to the True Elements Society instead.

Leona thought that it might be related to her. She hadn't gone there to meet him last night. Maybe her uncle had wanted to meet her.

Her mind also told her that it was related to Charon Perry as well. Leona didn't know what to do. She thought of informing her father. With her father's character, he might start fighting against his brother.

Leona didn't want that to happen. Since it was a campus, she didn't think her uncle would attack her here.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up as a good idea came to her mind.

She decided to take Elder Aaron Perry with her. As far as she knew, her uncle was weaker than her father. So, she thought her uncle was still a level-9 Wizard.

Elder Aaron was one of the council elders here with level-9 Wizard strength as well. She thought if something happened, then Elder Aaron would take care of it.
