GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2057 Money Matters.

Chapter 2057  Money Matters.

Besides, stealing from many people is bound to draw attention. If the police force in the town doesn't investigate, the lamp bearers will surely do so. So this is even more dangerous than stealing from one person.

He sighed and said, "Let me try and make money first. If I can't, I will go out to hunt."

He is not afraid of danger. With his knowledge and fighting experience, he believes that he can protect himself in the wilds to a certain extent. But that can only be his last resort, not the first thing he tries to do to solve his problem.

He can't prioritize being a hunter because hunting outside of the town is too dangerous and can lead to his death. His death might lead to the end of his breakthrough into an Absolute.

So what is at stake here is not just preparing his existence for divine flesh. He would also be risking his chance to become an Absolute by going out to hunt.

He believes that it is a good idea to take the safe route first. As an old, experienced entity, he also has some confidence in making money.

He doesn't plan to make a little money. He has the confidence to make so much money that he dares to compete with the most wealthy people in this world.

He thought about his options for a long while. It took him four hours to finish sorting out his thoughts.

By the time he was done, the ground had stopped glowing and the air had become colder. So he went to the kitchen to cook dinner.

His dinner is vegetable soup made from onions, tomato, and pepper soup. He plans to eat it with bread and water.

He made the soup in the kitchen. Then he carried the pot of soup to his room, where he had his dinner.

After dinner, he went to the toilet. The toilet is on the far left edge of his floor, while the kitchen is on the far right edge of the floor. This arrangement meant that the kitchen is closer to his room, while the toilet is farther from his room.

After defeating, he cleaned himself. Then he went to sleep.

His roommate has a room in town that he prefers to live in, so no one disturbed Legion's sleep during the night.

When Legion woke up, he gained an understanding of why his roommate didn't want to live in the dormitory. He too would want to move out if he had a choice because of the lack of heating in the room.

It gets really cold at night, so heating is very important. Even villages have some sort of heating system. They use a fire pit and chimney to keep themselves warm at night.

But there is no chimney in his room. Instead, they use a heatstone.

The heatstone doesn't cause pollution at all. It is a small, portable source of heat that can be easily carried from one place to another. All it needs for it to produce heat is energy water.

Unfortunately, energy water is expensive. He has some money on hand, but he prefers to use it to buy food than waste it on heating.

If there is no heating, he will shiver, but he will live. But if there is no food, then death awaits. It is clear which one he should prioritize.

Energy water is used for a lot of things, but the only way to buy it is from the Ivory family. This reason alone is more than enough to make the Ivory family rich.

There are other alternatives, such as running steam pipes through a building or hot water through radiators. But those things are for the wealthy. They are mostly present in the cities, not in small towns like this.

Even though he was cold, he couldn't help but smile. He said, "I have been through a lot and can withstand most adverse conditions. But even if I think that I need heating. So if I solve this problem of heating for others, I bet it is bound to bring me a lot of money."

He was full of confidence as he went to have his bath and warm his food in the kitchen. While he was doing this, he thought about his plan to make some money.

The fuel that he used in the stove was charcoal. It was created by burning wood halfway. This way, when it is used, it doesn't produce as much smoke as wood does.

Rich people use firestones to cook. Just like heatstones, firestones use energy water to produce fire. But its conversion of energy water into heat energy is faster and has a higher output than that of heatstones.

Lightstones, heatstones, and firestones are similar that way. They all convert energy water into another kind of energy. The main difference between them is the quantity of their output.

These three special stones are the cornerstones of civilization. They helped humanity survive in this cold, dark world. Unfortunately, things have reached a level where they are considered expensive to use.

Actually, they are not expensive to use in a village. It is because there are few people in a village using the energy water of the spirit spring.

But the population of a town is sometimes too much for the spirit spring. This creates increased demand for energy water that makes it expensive to use.

There is also the control of the spirit springs by the Ivory family. Their control limits the availability of energy waters to the populace.

It is unlike the situation in a village where there are hardly any noble families, and everyone can access the spirit spring for whatever they need.

So in Ivory Town, apart from the lightstone, which is a necessity and still affordable to use, the headstone and firestone have become too expensive to use.

People have been looking for cheaper alternatives to the use of these three materials. His plan to make money is to suggest an alternative to replace the need for energy water and the three stones.
