Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1603: Ride on one’s head

*********************************************

Of course, an argument was bound to happen. Master Deng knew very well that Master Xiu and Master Sang were trying to skip work again.

These two mers were used to being served by servants but in this drought, how could their family support servants?

It was good enough if they would support themselves. Thus, Master Xiu and Master Sang who were not used to working were now pushing all the work on Master Deng.

After all, the weather was getting hotter and hotter, and working was not only exhausting but also unbearable due to the exposure to the sun.

Master Deng was the one who was forced to do these tasks. Not only did he have to do these tasks but he also had to cook and feed the chickens.

Even the children who were too young, were left in his hands to care for as Master Sang complained of not getting enough sleep because the child kept crying all night.

The side mer concubines who held no importance also made excuses as they thought that even if they came from a small scholarly family they were still better than Master Deng who came from a family of butchers and hunters.

In other words, while the whole family had a leisurely time, Master Deng was working as if he had five legs and eight arms.

When Master Deng first entered the household, he naturally lowered his head and kept a low profile since he was not used to many things. He also showed great respect to his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He also made efforts to keep the relations of the family harmonious as he did not want to trouble his wife. Master Deng knew that the position of his wife in the Jiang family was a bit sensitive, thus he stayed quiet for the sake of his wife.

But it had been six months already, in the past it was alright but now that the situation was like this if his brothers-in-law did not work—— how long would he have to suffer?

Even today was the same, Master Xiu and Master Sang promised that they would do their work today but they did not even get off their beds.

The mer concubines also hid in their rooms.

This finally infuriated Master Deng as his patience reached its final peak.

He marched over to the kitchen of his courtyard and the children who were playing in his garden naturally looked over. Their daddies told them to keep an eye on Master Deng and ask him to make more of anything that he was cooking if they wanted to fill their stomachs.

They were prepared to keep a very close eye on Master Deng but then they saw him closing and locking the kitchen door!

Master Deng was actually locking the kitchen!?

"Uncle Deng, what are you doing? You have not cooked breakfast yet," the eldest daughter of Master Xiu said.

Master Deng sneered and turned to look at the girl before saying, "Oh, what can we do? I have a headache and can't cook. You can ask your daddies to cook for you."

"How can you not cook just because of a headache?" The second daughter blurted out angrily. "Do you even know how long we have been starving?"

"Why? Your daddy has a headache too right? He cannot get up from the bed and mop or dust the floor…so why cannot I have a headache which makes it impossible for me to cook?"

Second Jiang wanted to say that it was different but was stopped by Elder Jiang.

It seemed like Master Deng had finally snapped.

There was no point in fighting with him.

The children turned on their feet and then went to look for their daddies.

"What did you say? He is refusing to cook?" Master Xiu had just applied a mask which he had made from polished rice that Jiang Mingzhu bought with her money.

He turned and looked at his eldest daughter, "Did he really refuse to cook?"

"Yes," his eldest daughter replied sullenly. "He said that he has a headache and cannot cook. He also asked us to go back and tell you that you should manage the cooking today by yourself."

"Daddy, I am hungry," the youngest daughter did not understand anything. She only knew that it was way past the time to eat breakfast and her stomach was still empty.

"Don't worry sweetie, Daddy will give you food soon," Master Xiu said to his daughter as he washed off his mask. Of course, he was not going to cook.

Master Deng was from a small family and compared to him, he was from a family which held a decent background. How dare a small mer from a small family of butcher think of riding on his head?

If he did not suppress Master Deng today, how would he live on from now onwards? Wouldn't Master Deng continue acting up, if he was not dealt with?

As he was marching down the path which led to the third sister's courtyard, he met Master Sang whose expression was just as bad as his.

He was muttering to himself, "This little bastard, how dare he chase my daughters out without feeding them anything? I will show him who is the boss in this family, just you wait!" Each word of his was spoken through gritted teeth.

"Your daughters were also chased out?" Compared to him Master Sang had not treated Master Deng that badly.

When Master Sang heard his words, he raised his head and looked at Master Xiu, he pursed his lips and sneered.

"That's right. That bastard actually told my daughter to tell me that his head was hurting just like mine and could not work," Master Sang's expression turned prickly when he thought about how Master Deng actually told his daughter that he could not cook just as Master Sang could not sweep the floor.

Were the two of them the same? He was used to doing such things but Master Sang was not!
