Chapter 265 Rocky Reunion
"How do you train in these conditions... Sir?" Alfred asked skeptically, looking around the training room.
After all, Michael had not come out for what felt like the last month, and the only times he had come out were simply to make more bodies for the eldritch.
But as a result of that, the training room looked like a mess since, by total accident, he managed to destroy half of the planet.
Once again, a complete and total accident.
How was he supposed to know that if he were to concentrate his mana into a single point, he'd be able to create a star-destroying level attack?
Nonetheless, now that he was finished with his training—at least for the next couple of weeks—it was about time he explored.
"Alfred, where is Pardoth?" Michael asked.
"Master is currently away and said he'd leave behind a few eldritch beings for you in the process. There should be 10 currently, and if you wish, you could create their bodies straight away," Alfred replied and waved toward the living room. "Shall we?"
"You know it." Michael chuckled.
During this month, even if he hadn't gone out a bunch, he got to know Alfred pretty well, and by now, Michael could even consider him a friend.
A friend who knew that Michael hated wasting time the most.
Therefore, they soon arrived in the living room, and green eyes of all shapes and sizes were gathered, floating around the room aimlessly.
Michael signaled for Alfred to leave, and as he did, Michael immediately began the constructing process.
Summoning mana and giving it a form with a mere thought, 10 ideal constructs appeared, waiting to be inhabited.
He got closer to each eye and stuck them into the constructs' eye sockets.
Soon, the changes happened, and not even a minute later, all 10 of the eldritch beings had their forms ready.
Strength-wise, Michael decided to cap it at Tier 12, or else they could go back and bite him in the ass in the future.
But still, in the grand scheme of things, they were world-destroying powerhouses.
And to think that by the end of the year, there would be nearly 800 such beings, all with the help of Michael.
If he were to use this assistance as leverage, then he could likely ask for anything he wanted from the higher-ups.
However, Michael was still unsure of his true strength, as after a long bout of research, he narrowed it down to Upper Tier 16, which meant he was truly strong but definitely not strong enough to contest against those colossal eldritch beings he had seen from time to time.
If anything, the stronger he got, the more of a bug he felt when compared to the higher powers.
"You may go wherever you wish. Pardoth will find you," Michael announced absentmindedly and began walking out of the room.
His goal currently was to explore the inner realm since, after a whole month of training, he was pretty bored.
But just as he thought that, an idea appeared in his head.
Why doesn't he head over to Astraea's world?
After all, during the course of the month, he only saw both Astraea and Rebecca spar, eat, and sleep. They were even more bored than he was.
If Mikhail was here to scold me, he'd call me a slacker, Michael remarked with a chuckle but then halted.
A month of time was long enough to ponder about the past.
He had realized it at the start, but during his time training, he only managed to confirm it.
Mikhail was never real, and Michael was merely talking to himself the entire time.
None of the memories were real, and each of them was merely his past life, with the current life he's going through being a tad bit more different. Your next read is at My Virtual Library Empire
If he had to guess, it had something to do with Kevin's interference—as if he truly wasn't lying—then going back in time might've angered the other gods.
Nonetheless, fighting against gods was a bit too early for him. Therefore, instead of heading into the inner eldritch world, Michael told Alfred he'd be doing some isolation training and to not disturb him.@@novelbin@@
And as he entered the now shabby training room, he stretched out his mana as far as he could, until eventually, he spotted Astraea.
However, this time, it seemed like she wasn't training but instead fighting against some masked individual.
It did not take him long to spot Rebecca, and it seemed like she was doing the same—just fighting someone a tad bit stronger.
But of course, they were nowhere near as strong as either of the women, since their strength, for some reason, was off the charts.
Nonetheless, Michael wanted to give them a little surprise. Therefore, he focused deeply and used Sanctuary passively.
As he did so, Michael imagined himself slowly teleporting across his entire mana sense and ending up in the other world.
He felt slight restrictions, as well as the mana growing thinner to the point where it felt like he wasn't even absorbing it anymore.
But he crossed it off as a minor inconvenience since higher beings certainly had restrictions placed upon them.
And since he was now one of the higher beings, then naturally, he also had the same restrictions.
However, the travel was taking a bit longer than he was initially expecting, as even after several minutes, he felt like he hadn't even reached the halfway mark yet.
Nonetheless, since he was at the very least moving, then he would not mess with the process.
After a few more minutes, he felt like he had already entered the galaxy, and not even a few seconds later, he felt a certain familiar breeze brushing past him.
Opening his eyes, Michael was greeted with the greenery he remembered—the same forest where he had met Astraea.
And off in the distance, he could hear clashing sounds.
They are clashing inside the forest, huh, he mused before glancing upward.
Just to be sure, he left a large trace of his mana back on the planet he was on since he did not want to exactly be stranded here again. Going through the necessary procedures to end up in the Murim world and then in the eldritch world would surely be a pain in the ass.
Nonetheless, Michael walked along the trees, each of his steps shaking the atmosphere.
He almost forgot to hold back, so after taking a few deep breaths and lowering the amount of mana he was outputting, Michael soon arrived before the first batch of fighters.
One was in a mask, while the other was a girl of similar age to Astraea.
Now that I think about it... I'm ancient, aren't I? he pondered inwardly. I mustn't let Kevin find out about my true age...
Michael watched the fight for a few moments, but soon, he realized the girl was going to lose.
Therefore, he picked a side, and with a mere breath of mana, the masked individual's body disintegrated, leaving behind a shadow on the ground.
As for the girl, she seemed startled at what had just transpired.
Yet the moment she turned toward Michael, she froze.
And not even a second later, she began foaming at the mouth before passing out and falling to the ground.
"...Excuse me?" Michael walked over, poking her side.
But she seemed unresponsive, yet still alive.
Did she just pass out at the sight of me? Michael thought with furrowed brows and summoned a mirror in front of him.
And as he saw his own reflection, he quickly grumbled.
Long golden hair, massive black bags under his golden eyes.
To top it all off, wide black wings that seemed to give off a menacing aura.
Letting out a sigh, he quickly fixed himself, directing multiple heals to his face until, eventually, he looked good as new.
Right after, Michael cut his hair to shoulder length again, and then, he brought his wings inward.
Now he looked like any ordinary person with golden hair, and of course, his looks were dashing too.
Michael was sure that if Astraea saw him, she'd praise him.
But just as those thoughts fell, he felt a projectile approaching him. Therefore, Michael tilted his head to the side.
As he did, a black thread shot past before weaving back and threatening to pierce through his brain.
Out of curiosity, he decided to let it hit him.
Unsurprisingly, the moment the thread touched his skin, it broke, and the person behind this attack must have felt some sort of backlash too.
Turning around to face the perpetrator, Michael was ready to kill them as well.
But to his surprise, it was Astraea, heaving exhausted breaths while looking at him with hatred.
"Long time no s—"
"Get away from Emily!" Astraea interjected.
The moment she did, he felt a wave of mana traveling through the air. Therefore, Michael intercepted it.
[Becca, where are you? There's a tough one near me!]
[Girl, you are tossing me around like a doll. Give me a moment, I'm almost done.]
Oh, I can read telepathic messages? That's neat as well. Michael hummed in excitement.
Clearing the misunderstanding here and now would be ideal, but what good would it do?
Since Astraea couldn't recognize him, there was a chance neither could Rebecca.
Therefore, he wanted to play around a little.
For old times' sake.
What do you think?
