Chapter 1173: Treatment-2

"Samuel Rothschild confirmed. Welcome back, young master." The voice was obviously robotic, but it seemed to have a touch of emotion.

Everyone followed behind him, not knowing what to say. They could only stare at the large hallway like they had entered a different world. The white sterile walls were identical to the ones that were usually found in the hospital.

What’s more, they could see there were many sophisticated pieces of equipment littered across the whole space, and there was even a small bed and a sterilization room, just like what one would find in the quarantine chamber.

"Elize, prepare the room for operation."

"As you wish, young master." The voice sounded again before they heard mechanical sound coming from their left. They knew the place must be voice activated. It was their first experience with anything like this, but Samuel did not give them time to appreciate the subtlety.

"Does anyone among you have any experience with emergency care?"

" Me! I took the full course on battlefied first aid and had helped a lot of wounded people back when I was in the army." The man who was holding down her leg said urgently.

"Good, come with me." He told others to wait for them while he took the wounded and the man with him inside the operating room. Others could clearly see what they were doing inside through the glass window. Different equipments were moving on their own, positioning themselves around the operating table, which astounded them once more.

"Did Sami ever mention that he studied medicine?" Bella couldn’t help but to ask Kate.

" No. This is the first time I have learned that he is capable of doing such a thing. I can’t believe that he is not even twenty yet." Kate was just as baffled as her. She felt as if he was an onion, with each layer revealing dozens beneath, but no one could see the end of the road!

"As far as I know, the young master never actually studied medicine." Suddenly they heard one of the soldiers say something that made them even more confused. Since these people knew the most about him, they should be aware of what he did in his spare time.

If they were right that he had never studied medicine, was not what he was doing now practically endangering her life? Shouldn’t they go inside and stop them?

"Don’t worry. We believe in young master more than anyone else. He wouldn’t try to harm us even if we begged him to do it; that’s how much he cares about everyone in this place." The soldier smiled and said the most outrageous thing he could think of. What kind of devotion did they feel for him? Medical science was not something one could learn casually, especially since he was attempting to perform emergency surgery on someone who had been severely injured.

But only Kate, Bella, and Dhia doubted him while others watched with serious expression, not even breathing heavily, fearing to disturb the ongoing operation.

The man inside, who was helping him, just followed his instructions. As someone who knew a thing or two about medical science, he was also skeptical, but when he saw how neatly Samuel prepped everything, he knew there would be another chapter added to the legend of Samuel Rothschild.

Samuel was laser-focused, hollowing out his thoughts while fully focusing on using his magical abilities and the modern equipment to resolve the issue of the bullet in the wound. His hands moved rapidly as he first cut off her pants around the wounded area before sterilizing her wound and moving to dissecting her properly.

He could tell from the life force coursing through her leg that the bullet had splintered into many pieces and lodged itself around very vital areas, particularly the large artery surrounding her femur bone.

He would need a steady hand and his eyes to cut through specific areas and remove all of the shrapnels without nicking the arteries. Another issue was that it reached her bone, which broke into a few pieces.

Since he determined all the important places, he started moving the scalpel rapidly. The man who watched from up close was shocked; he had never heard or seen anyone do surgery like this before. The speed and precision were unmatched, and he could see there was minimum blood coming out of places where his knife touched her skin. It was as if the blood itself was designed to obey his commands!

With each passing minute, he would take out more and more shards of metal from her leg while everyone watched in awe. It took him barely half an hour before he was sutering up her leg. He also applied some healing power so that she wouldn’t feel the affects much and would recover quickly.

She was still out from the anesthesia, but her breathing had subsided a lot, but instead of celebrating, he knew he had a huge problem in his hands after what he found in the wound, but he still needed to confirm his suspicion.

"Take her back and let others keep an eye on her wound so it does not get infected.Run some tests just in case, and give them this; they will know what to do with it." He jotted down most of how he operated on her so the doctors would know what he did and would not make a blunder. It would be hard for them to believe it, but he didn’t care about them getting surprised.

Both men cleaned themselves up and disposed of the bloody gowns before heading outside. It wouldn’t be ideal for her to travel right after the surgery, so other soldiers asked to stay behind with her, which he allowed.

He just told them to call for Elise, and she would handle everything regarding guiding them out of the maze. The entire structure was built underground to be used in an emergency or as a place for residents to hide if they were ever attacked, which was unlikely but possible.

Seeing Samuel’s grim expression, the girls knew something was wrong, but since he said the operation was successful, they didn’t know what was on his mind.

Meanwhile, he knew if what he found was credible, they would be attacked again!
