After returning, Leberli still ended up insisting Qiao Suisui accompany him to the inner hall.

In the past few days, he had conducted extensive research in the Star Nebula, finding information on topics such as how to coax a female, why men who act coquettish have the best luck, and three sentences to make a female choose you as her First Spouse, among others.

Leberli reviewed everything and felt they were all crooked tricks.

Just as he was about to close the page, in the smart associated terms column, a line of text blatantly laid out: "A hundred small techniques to make a female unable to resist you."

Bending over, he didn't receive a response for a long time, so taking a bold stance, he straightened up and saw the man on the seat still fixated on the Light Computer.

"Sun, are you dealing with other important matters?"

Without changing his expression, Leberli hummed an acknowledgment, saying, "Extremely important, a matter of life and death for Auslan."

The secretary's expression tensed, and he immediately asked, "Do you need me to summon the Council immediately for you?"

Leberli waved his hand, "This is a burden I must bear alone."

The secretary anxiously asked, "Sun, I wish to share your worries, may I ask what's the matter?"

The man walked down from his throne, loosening the top two buttons at his neck as he went, and tousled his hair a bit, making it look a tad disheveled, which gave him a lazy, casual, and irresistibly sensual appearance.

The secretary watched, open-mouthed, finally understanding what it meant to have the most honorable presence while displaying the most seductive allure.

As he passed the secretary, Leberli patted his shoulder and said, "I appreciate your loyalty, but you don't need to share this worry."

After speaking, he strode confidently toward Qiao Suisui's palace, and before entering, he opened two more buttons, revealing his sexy collarbone and a glimpse of his chest.

Time rewinds to that moment.

His court attire was scattered about the floor, with Leberli dressed only in trousers, his upper body showcasing well-proportioned muscles as he supported himself on the bed, staring at the person he had wrapped in his arms.

"Why not?" he gritted his teeth.

"Not happening, just not happening," Qiao Suisui turned her face away guiltily, but he pinched her chin to turn her face back.

"Are you tired of me? Or is there someone else?"

"It's not... I'm just tired..." Qiao Suisui furrowed her brows slightly, looking at Leberli's not-so-good complexion, trying to push him away. "Ash, I don't want to..."

She had used up her Contraceptive Pill last time with Ruka, and she didn't want to waste more points, so she had declined Leberli's repeated advances. Usually, he was very easy-going, but today, for some reason, he had been all over her, igniting flames and insisting on being intimate with her.

Leberli's eyes were full of hurt as he rolled over, slumping his shoulders as he sat on the edge of the bed, his back to her, asking, "Is it because I didn't do something right that made you dislike me?"

"It's not that, Ash, don't think like that."

Qiao Suisui sighed, knowing that if she allowed him to continue misunderstanding, it would only lead to more trouble, so she said, "Because I don't want to get pregnant."

Leberli was taken aback, not having considered this aspect.

In the interstellar world, there was no such thing as a contraceptive pill—a planet where the population was dwindling, who would they sell birth control pills to? Pills to promote fertility, on the other hand, could be found everywhere. Moreover, because most Beastmen actually had little chance to come into contact with females, contraceptive measures were very limited and quite pointless. Consequently, products without a market would eventually be phased out, so for nearly a hundred star years, the awareness of contraception among the Beastmen was virtually nonexistent.

But Qiao Suisui, who came from a modern context, cared a great deal about it. Firstly, from a physiological standpoint, women had receptive anatomy, making them more vulnerable during the process of reproduction, such as being prone to pregnancy and diseases.

Despite the transformation her body had undergone, this awareness had taken root deep in her heart.

Add to that the significant psychological changes she experienced after the last delivery, she currently felt somewhat negative about having children, unwilling to be continuously pregnant and giving birth, over and over again.

Leberli did not understand all this, but recalling her weakness with each delivery, his heart clenched instantly. He embraced her gently, caressing her head and said softly, "It's my lack of consideration, I didn't think of that. If you don't want to, then we won't have any."

To be honest, he admitted that he was not a qualified father. He conceded that he did not perform the role of a father as well as Sikoses did.

The six little deer were already able to walk and jump, but he only occasionally went to see them, leaving their care to others. Whenever he had some time, he spent it all with Qiao Suisui, admittedly dedicating very little to the young ones.

Leberli tenderly kissed her lips, and the frustration and turmoil he had felt just moments ago had now entirely dissipated; Qiao Suisui always managed to easily stir his emotions.

After their exertions, Qiao Suisui's cheeks and the corners of her eyes were attractively flushed, and the bed sheets were indescribably wet.

She lay on the bed somewhat dazed, while Leberli kissed her pale and smooth back, a look of satisfaction on his face.

"Sleep if you're tired, I'll hold you to bathe." He was afraid she would catch cold from moving around in a sweat, so he grabbed a thin blanket to wrap her up and carried her sideways into the bathroom.

First, he placed her in the bathtub filled with just-right warm water, then stepped out to order someone to replace all the bedding with new ones. He picked out a silk nightgown and casually draped it over his shoulder before returning to the bathroom.

Seeing the person in the bathtub still flushed, staring blankly at a spot, the man chuckled softly.

"What are you thinking about?" Leberli tested the water temperature with his hand and said, "The water will cool down soon, shall I lift you out, okay?"

Qiao Suisui, however, stared at his hand without a word, her delicate face flushing even redder.

The man knew what she was thinking by looking at her expression; he chuckled deeply from his chest and then deliberately stretched his hand in front of her, saying, "Baby, wash it for me, will you? Just now, my entire palm was made wet by you."

The sound of splashing water rose as the person in the tub moved, causing water to spill out onto the floor.

Qiao Suisui blushed and put a hand over his mouth, her eyes shimmering with a mix of shyness and anger.

"Ash! You are not allowed in my inner sanctum ever again!"
