I Become Master of Danger Zones as Incubus With Mastery In Genetic

Chapter 661 80

As the guards lead the boy to the nearest guard house, they exchanged look with each other. All subtly pointing to the most peculiar action he took. Namely, nothing.

The boy clearly know he would be punished for whatever reason the City Lord ordered for him to be found, yet he was calm, like it was a simple stroll.

None of the guards knew where the confidence come from but they probably need to put their guard up even more in case he has an accomplice to break him free.

Even with one man down, the said man heading to the City Lord Mansion to report their finding, they believe they can keep the boy in check and in prison.

"Looks like one of the guards find another false alarm." City Lord Krell noted. Council Member Pran nodded. As for Council Member Jarrus, he was busy dealing with the movement of the guards to reply in any form.

"Let's wait until whatever happen finished and the guards apologize after they apprehend the wrong person. Again." in the background, Council Member Jarrus groaned, having been the one to deal with all the mishap of the guards.

Even Council Member Pran feel sorry for him, despite their rivalry in politic of the City. As they waited for the commotion to die down, a newer form of entertainment for the higher-ups at this point, a guard kneeled.

"My Lord, one of the guards proclaimed they found the guilty party." the sudden announcement lead to all three highest members of Cumbra City Council to stand up suddenly and send their chairs clattering all over the place.

"What?" Despite their ... over-the-top response, City Lord Krell voice the question in an almost a whispering tone. Somehow, it put the fear of the spirit into everyone despite not being a shout or something more anger-filled.

"The guard! He said they found a boy that cause the Magic tool to activate. When they confronted him, he look at them before telling the guards who engaged that he is the one they looking for." the three exchanged look before all three head down, planning to speak with the guard.

Ismal is a simple guard, aside from his strength as 1st Rank Aura User. So, he regularly see the higher-ups of the City, with the job of guarding their perimeters one that he took from time to time.

However, he had never seen three of the most important people in the City clambering down the stairs, shoving one another and almost rolled down.

Him and the other guards it seem as their mouth agape at the comical sight. Wondering if his sight had seen wrong, Ismal blink to see the three men looking impeccable.

'Must have seen wrong then.' he decided to believe he had hallucinate the earlier mishap.

He was about to say something when the three men charged at him, barely stopping themselves from clutching his collar. Barely as in their fingers only touching the collar.

"Guard, tell me what happen. From the start to the end." the City Lord ordered. Ismal nodded shakily, as he retold what happened.

As he keep going, the higher-ups look in sheer disbelief at how the target is supposedly a child, before the child proclaimed himself to be the cause of the trouble.

"We decided to apprehend him and let the judge deal the puni-"

"What, are you insane!?" Ismal couldn't believe his ears, which were ringing by the way, what he just heard.

"Where is the boy know!?" the City Lord asked. From his urgent tone, Ismal almost believe it the matter of utmost importance if not for it was to deal with a 3rd Circle Mage.

However, since it was the order of his superior, he nodded before leading the way. After all, what could happen?

Following the guard, City Lord Krell fought the urge to force the man to go faster. If they keep going at such pace, they only arrive at the guard house in half an hour. Who knows how annoyed the 5th Circle Mage would be and how much destruction would occur before they can appease the man- boy, if that is really his appearance.

Despite his fearful thought, City Lord Krell managed to hide his anxious look, appearing calm in front of his subordinates.

'The City Lord is scared. Not can I blame him.' Council Member Pran thought.

-x-

'The City Lord is anxious. Not that I don't understand.' Council Member Jarrus thought.

'Why did the City Lord looked like he want to strangle me with my own intestines?' Ismal asked, in his head of course. He did not want his question to become a reality.

'Why do I have the sudden urge to beat up the group of people I am with?' thought City Lord Krell, who barely restrained his somewhat murderous urge.

After a journey that took about 20 minutes, though it felt way longer for the three men, they arrive at the guard house.@@novelbin@@

"Here where we locked him, My Lord." the guard bow to the man, "But I don't understand why you want to me-" he was cut off by the trio pushing past him to enter the guard house. Only to meet with a peculiar sight.

"I spy, with my little eyes, something gray."

"The wall."

"Wow, you are good at this game."

The guards groaned, some of them looking like they are close to their limit, wishing to punch the cause of their suffering.

Meanwhile, the boy looked happy to cause the guards who apprehend him so much suffering. He even have an evil look on his face, seemingly planning more torture for the guards.

Fortunately for the guards, their suffering should come to the end as the City Lord's and two oldest Council Members had graced the guard house.

"Well boy, you get what you want. I hope you ready to face yo-"

"Please, don't destroy our city! We beg of you!"

"Please, I have a family! And a pet dog. And a pet cat!"

"Please, I'm too old to die!"

The guards looked shock. So did the boy, who looked at the guards, his eyes asking the silent question, 'Is this really your City Lord?'
