Chapter 51 - 51 Fierce Confrontation
Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Fierce Confrontation
Song Lin cradled the human head, slowly walking to the side of the door.
“Officer Song, if you don’t want to die, be a good boy,”
Axi threatened with a smile.
Song Lin stopped in his tracks and looked toward Axi.
“Can you tell me about yourself?”
Song Lin asked with a smile as he looked at Axi.
“Tell you what?”
Axi blinked in confusion and asked.
“Your story!”
Song Lin asked with a smile.
“There’s nothing to tell, move it!”
Axi’s expression darkened, and he scolded.
“Go on, I’m quite curious.”
Song Lin raised an eyebrow, still smiling as he spoke.
“Officer Song, don’t push your luck!”
Axi raised the gun, pointing it at Song Lin with a cold voice.
“Hahaha~”
“Shoot then!”
“You’re not going to let me leave alive anyway.”
Song Lin shrugged his shoulders, speaking indifferently.
“You think I don’t dare?”
Axi glared and questioned coldly.
“I don’t care, just shoot,”
Song Lin kept his cheerful demeanor as he spoke.
Upon hearing this, Axi raised his eyebrows and laughed.
“You’re trying to break the game with this tactic, and disrupt my play?”
Axi grinned showing his big white teeth and asked.
“No, I just want to take you back!”
Before he finished speaking, Song Lin grabbed the head he was holding and threw it violently at Axi, took off in a sprint from the room, and ran towards the stairwell.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Gunshots echoed from the bedroom…
The stair railing next to Song Lin splintered simultaneously.
Axi, gun in hand, walked out of the bedroom to find that Song Lin had already disappeared.
Glancing down at the floor, Axi smiled.
On the floor, a trail of blood extended towards the staircase.
After looking at the shattered railing, Axi walked to the stairwell where there was even more blood.
“Officer Song, I have rigged a grenade to the security door, so don’t you try to run.”
Axi, tracing the stair railing with his gun, descended the steps towards the first floor, the gun’s muzzle scraping over the wooden railing emitting a deathly tune.
Song Lin crouched behind the kitchen door, clenching his teeth, pressing his hand against a bleeding arm, his complexion pale and drenched with sweat that slid down his cheek and dripped onto the floor.
He pulled out his gun, released the safety, and set it on the ground while listening for the sound of Axi coming downstairs, and with one hand, he tore open his shirt and used his teeth to help tighten it around his wounded arm.
“Damn…”
“His marksmanship is damn good…”
Song Lin cursed under his breath.
After bandaging his arm, he tore another strip of shirt and tied it around his thigh to minimize blood loss.
After Axi fired three shots, Song Lin had been hit by two bullets, instantly losing half his fighting capacity.
Song Lin leaned against the wall, breathing heavily, pain continuously stimulating his nerves, and the loss of blood making his vision darken in waves.
Glancing at the blood on the floor, Song Lin let out a wry smile, picked up the sidearm from the ground, and aimed it at the kitchen door.
The blood trail had betrayed his location; Axi didn’t even need to search, he already knew where Song Lin was.
“Officer Song, I’m coming.”
Axi’s voice came from the living room.
Song Lin’s nerves immediately tensed, and his eyes fixated on the kitchen door.
As the footsteps grew closer, Song Lin slowly shifted his gun barrel slightly downward.
“Heh…”
“Almost forgot, he’s a shorty.”
Song Lin muttered to himself.
A shadow flashed across the glass of the kitchen door.
Song Lin moved the gun barrel, aiming it at the window connecting the kitchen to the living room.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
The next second, a series of gunshots rang out.
Thirty seconds later, all was quiet.
At the village entrance!
Upon hearing the gunshots, Wang Qiang’s expression drastically changed.
He drew his sidearm, loaded it, and disengaged the safety.
“Team leader, those were gunshots!”
Shi Guang spoke with a serious expression as he drove.
“I know, speed up!”
Wang Qiang spoke in a heavy voice.
Shi Guang nodded and slammed on the gas pedal hard.
Three minutes later, the car stopped behind Song Lin’s.
Wang Qiang pushed open the door, and with a forward roll, he rolled to the inside of Song Lin’s car, crouching on the ground and glanced into the car.
“He’s not in the car!”
Wang Qiang gritted his teeth looking across the road at the two-story building.
“Shi Guang, cover me!”
Wang Qiang roared and dashed towards the small building, bending low.
Shi Guang immediately pushed open the car door, using the door as cover, and raised his gun aiming at the lit room on the second floor.
All the windows of the villa had curtains drawn.
Only that second-floor bedroom and the ground-floor living room had lights on; the only place that could threaten Wang Qiang’s position was the second floor.
Wang Qiang pressed against the courtyard wall, scanning the gate. @@novelbin@@
The gate was wide open!
Wang Qiang looked up at the room with lights on the second floor.
Rapid analysis ran through Wang Qiang’s mind.
If the shooter was hiding in this room, entering through the courtyard gate would mean getting shot in the head instantly!
Wang Qiang gestured to Shi Guang and with a leap, he swiftly vaulted over the low courtyard wall, rolling quickly to hide in the dead angle of the second floor’s view.
“Bang bang bang!”
At this moment, gunfire sounded again.
A shock went through Wang Qiang’s heart.
Outside the courtyard, Shi Guang quickly tried to locate the source of the gunfire.
Seeing a flash of muzzle fire from a small room on the ground floor, Shi Guang’s expression tightened as he sprinted toward the courtyard wall, vaulting over with a swift movement and rolling to Wang Qiang’s side.
“Team leader, it’s on the first floor!”
Shi Guang whispered.
Upon hearing this, Wang Qiang swiftly scanned the ground floor.
Burglar-proof iron doors, protective window bars.
“We’re going in from the second floor!”
Wang Qiang made a snap judgement and issued the command.
“Team leader, cover me!”
Before Wang Qiang could finish, Shi Guang darted out.
“Damn it!”
Watching this scene, Wang Qiang cursed quietly.
He quickly aimed his gun at the ground floor windows.
No matter when, an assaulter is always in more danger than the cover team, risking injury or even death at any time.
Wang Qiang had wanted to be the assaulter himself, but didn’t expect Shi Guang to beat him to it.Upd@te by n0vgo .c0
Shi Guang tucked his sidearm back into his waistband and began to scale the wall, using the crevices as handholds.
Seeing this, Wang Qiang aimed his gun at the second floor.
Attacks from the first floor could no longer threaten Shi Guang; the second floor was the lethal threat.
Wang Qiang’s eyes were fixed on the second floor.
Fearing the gunman would suddenly appear at the window.
Shi Guang was agile; he climbed the few meters quickly and flipped over into the balcony.
“Huff…”
Seeing this, Wang Qiang let out a sigh of relief.
But he didn’t notice…
A curtain on one of the ground floor’s windows slowly parted, revealing a dark barrel aiming at him!
“Bang bang!”
Two gunshots sounded!
Wang Qiang fell backward, lying on the ground.
A spurt of fresh blood splattered on the glass window.
Five minutes later!
The burglar-proof door on the first floor opened.
Shi Guang, covered in blood, was helping Song Lin out, step by step.
Blood was dripping continuously, leaving a trail of bloody footprints behind Song Lin.
“You rascal, stop pretending…”
Looking at Wang Qiang lying on the ground, Song Lin’s weak voice sounded.
Hearing Song Lin’s voice, Wang Qiang sprang to his feet, his heart still pounding as he looked over the blood-stained window sill and the bullet holes beside his feet.
“Scared me to death.”
Wang Qiang grinned at Song Lin.
“Master, are you alright?”
Seeing Song Lin covered in blood, Wang Qiang’s expression changed as he rushed over, asking with concern.
“Hehe…”
“I’m not going to die…”
Song Lin grinned weakly and said.
“But if you don’t call an ambulance soon, who knows…”
Seeing Wang Qiang still looking at his wounds, Song Lin said helplessly.
What do you think?
