"Scatter in the wind!"
The duel between Lillysha and Togari began.
As Togari's figure vanished, a tornado swept across the field.
With the constant whirlwind raging, Lillysha naturally couldn't keep her feet on the ground.
Carried by the storm, she was unable to move, and on top of that, Togari, who had disappeared, launched a fierce assault.
Togari, who had vanished into the wind, struck Lillisha with a vacuum blast.
Lillysha took the hit head-on, but the damage was minimal.
Her precision in enhancing her body with magic had improved remarkably.
Lillysha, who had previously focused solely on the power of fire magic, now seemed to be training her fundamentals.
And that wasn't all.
Though she appeared to be at the mercy of the storm, she was actually navigating it skillfully, as if swimming through the wind.
"Muhoh! Togari-kun, your abilities aren't quite cutting it, are they?"
"Wind Demon Kamaitachi. The ability to vanish and slash with the wind. He's contracted with a decent magical beast."
"Alphiss-kun, how did you know that?"
"Unlike you guys, I make sure to keep the necessary knowledge in my head."
I tapped my head with my finger.
It seemed like becoming a summoner had given him some confidence, but it hadn't been long enough for it to mean much.
It was like a racer getting their hands on a monster machine they weren't used to.
Well, that Togari was, in terms of skill, just an amateur who couldn't quite make it as a pro.
His fighting style was just a slightly improved version of his original one, and his training was still lacking.
"How dull. Training with Alphiss would be far better than this."
Lillysha slashed the air with one hand, and Togari, who had disappeared, screamed and reappeared.
She had pinpointed his location, enhanced her hand with magic, and generated heat with fire magic.
And Togari wasn't completely invisible.
He was just making his figure hard to nitoice.
"Damn it! You brat!"
"How noisy. Is this all you've got?"
Lillysha generated fireballs around Togari, who was struggling in the wind.
Togari could ride the wind because he was using magic to alter the flow around him.
If Togari could do that, it was child's play for Lillisha.
In Lillysha's case, she was using magic to suppress the wind's resistance to her advantage, which was slightly different.
That's why she could ride the wind as effortlessly as if she were swimming.
"This brat, riding the wind like it's nothing!"
"I'm bored now. Blast."
"Guhoh...!"
Right after the explosion hit Togari's stomach, the waiting fireballs mercilessly concentrated their fire.
Togari, hit by the barrage, was instantly knocked out of the field.
"Ugh, damn it...!"
"Stupid. Ugly. Weak. Senpai, you're a second-year, but what have you been doing? You're not even close to Alfis's level."
"Y-you bastard..."
"How does it feel to lose to a first-year brat like me, Senpai? You've got no talent, so why not just drop out?"
She's really laying it on thick. I had almost forgotten, but she's always been like this.
Togari-kun, with tears in his eyes, must have zero life left.
"Lillysha, stop taunting the weakling."
"A-! Alphiss But this guy is so weak compared to training with you. It's infuriating."
"I don't care..."
Why does she keep bringing me into this?
Togari-kun is so depressed he might not recover, and it's just tragic.
Well, he did lose completely, even with the boost from being a summoner.
Muto crouched down and peered at Togari, who was on the floor with his hands on the ground.
"Togari-kun. I went through the trouble of making a contract for you, and this is how it turns out? How boring."
"Ugh..."
"Huh? Are you crying? Sorry, sorry! Men shouldn't cry so easily! Come on, cheer up! Everyone, encourage Togari-kun!"
As Muto egged them on, his followers surrounded Togari.
"Togari-kun is strong~!"
"Togari-kun is handsome~!"@@novelbin@@
"Togari-kun will find a wonderful girlfriend someday~!"
They all sang around Togari, who was still on the floor with his hands on the ground.
I can't really talk, but I've never seen anyone so thoroughly humiliate someone else.
He had his underlings singing like they were in an elementary school choir, and he was having a blast.
I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to address the students who were watching.
"Hey, everyone. See this? This is what happens when you join one of the three major factions. You might get some backing, but these guys don't care about you. If you're not useful, they'll just mock you like this."
The students listened awkwardly to my words.
If they reacted too strongly, they'd draw the attention of Muto's faction.
"Since you've entered this academy, I'm sure you all have some kind of goal. If you're going to waste time on something this stupid, you'd be better off improving yourselves."
As I continued without holding back, I noticed a change among the students.
Some clenched their fists and left, while others looked away, seemingly wanting to say something.
I approached Togari and crouched down.
"If you still have even a little pride left, you can start over as many times as you need. Lillysha said some harsh things, but you're not without talent."
"Shut up..."
Muttering that, Togari shakily got to his feet and left the training ground.
I watched his retreating figure and gave Muto a cold glance.
"Haah... How boring. I'm so annoyed, maybe I'll just kill Alphiss-kun here."
Muto's expression changed completely.
His white eyes disappeared, replaced by black, round ones, and his face looked like that of a grim reaper.
"A-Alphiss-sama. That Muto person, his aura suddenly..."
"He's probably possessed..."
At that moment, someone hurriedly approached from behind Letitia.
"Are there still students here? It's almost time to go home. It's good to be enthusiastic, but those who aren't part of a club should leave."
Linlin, who had arrived, clapped her hands and urged us to go home.
Perfect timing.
"...Okay. Well, you guys, we good students will be going now."
Muto's followers filed out of the training ground.
As they left, Muto glanced at me and smirked.
This guy's completely looking down on me.
As if sensing my rising anger, Linlin placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Alphiss , I need to talk to you."
"I know."
I knew she had something to discuss with me.
There was no reason to refuse, so I headed to the faculty room afterward.
What do you think?
