Chapter 229 William Dayspear: Defeat!
"I acknowledge your strength and take back what I said," The young man nodded at Arthur.
"Alright, so you can back off now," Arthur replied. @@novelbin@@
"Not a chance. I am yet to use the potential of the Cloudnight Spear Art. This is a peak Earth Rank Battle Technique of my family."
Arthur listened without responding.
"My name is William Dayspear of the Dayspear family. I think your worthy of knowing my name, so I would like to know yours."
"You are not worthy," Arthur sneered and at this point, he was almost sure that these guys were from another continent.
"You really think too highly of yourself, let me show you more of my spear art!"
The challenge escalated as the young man, now identified as William Dayspear, boldly brandished his weapon and dared Arthur to engage him in close combat.
In response, Arthur appeared before him in an instant, the air quivering with the exchange of their energies.
The clash between them unfolded at an astonishing speed, their movements too swift for the brother and sister duo, who struggled to follow the flurry of blows.
The old man, a silent spectator, marveled at the unfolding spectacle. He recognized the exceptional talent of this young man from a supposedly weak continent, realizing that Arthur had mastered the concept levels for strength, speed, and the wind Dao.
'Such a talent, ca William even win?' he was not optimistic about his young master anymore.
'Should I?' at this point the old man had a thought of secretly helping William when he felt a terrifying will lock on him.
'Hmm? The undead, it's so powerful! I guess I can't act here then.'
Meanwhile, being unable to land a single hit on Arthur, William Dayspear, with a hint of frustration, decided to unleash his full strength.
The air trembled as he summoned his martial spirit—a flaming spear.
Surrounded by controlled flames that did not harm him, he exhibited an explosive increase in power.
In response to this escalation, Arthur made a calculated decision.
With a subtle smile, he decided to reveal one of his Dragon Martial Spirits, opting for the Lightning Dragon God.
As he summoned this mighty entity, the atmosphere crackled with electrifying energy.
The rank of the martial spirit remained concealed, leaving both William and the old man visibly shocked.
Partly due to its size and also due to another fact.
"My martial spirit is being oppressed! Which can only mean that...Heaven Rank Martial Spirit?" William muttered to himself in disbelief.
His martial Spirit was just of the peak Earth Rank so he could not fathom that he met such a talent like this here.
"Well, well," Arthur remarked, his eyes reflecting the playfulness of a strategist. "It seems we're getting to the interesting part of our little duel, William Dayspear."
William, momentarily taken aback, gathered himself. "You hid your true strength well. Let's see if it's enough to face my full power."
The clash resumed, and the surroundings bore witness to a symphony of elements—flames and lightning converging in a dance of raw power.
Each strike and parry echoed with a resonance that transcended the physical realm.
The brother and sister duo, despite their limited comprehension of martial prowess, could feel the gravity of the confrontation.
The old man, observed with a keen interest, silently contemplating the unfolding clash of two extraordinary talents.
'This fellow will surely rise at his continent's Grand Martial Arts Tournament.'
The unveiling of Arthur's Lightning Dragon God Martial Spirit left the Touki and his sister in awe.
They exchanged glances, silently speculating on Arthur's the extent of Arthur's abilities.
Because of what they previously saw it was clear that Arthur had twin martial spirits of very high ranks but they choose to keep their observations to themselves.
It wouldn't be good if they spoke and gave a valuable piece of information to the enemy.
At this point even the overly jumpy Touki was silent but the stars in his eyes couldn't hide his admiration for Arthur.
With the fusion of wind and lightning, Arthur's attacks gained an electrifying edge.
The battle continued, and gradually, Arthur gained the upper hand.
William, however, strained himself, his attacks becoming desperate while Arthur seemed to effortlessly dance through the clash.
Deciding he had toyed enough, Arthur, with a glint of mischief, announced, "I think it's time to end this," and unleashed a bolt of five-colored lightning.
"Heaven Extermination Lightning!"
'What the?!' William was shocked at the sudden attack and braced himself for impact.
But in that instant, the old man accompanying William reacted swiftly.
'That isn't a move you can block, idiot!'
A surge of concern for his companion overtook him as he swiftly moved William out of harm's way while knocking him out, and then he took the brunt of Arthur's attack.
*Bang!*
*Swoosh!*
The old man stood in front of William with his hand extended out of his long sleeves.
His palm bore the scorched marks of the powerful lightning, but the old man quickly hid his hand in his sleeves once more.
The old man muttered, a hint of admonition in his tone, "Young man, this was just a spar and you did not need to use such lethal means. Trump cards like that should be kept hidden for life or death situations."
Arthur, unperturbed, claimed that he had shown restraint, "That was me holding back, it isn't my fault that he was too weak and needed his elder to protect him."
This prompted a narrowing of the old man's eyes.
"I see, then I should thank you holding back," the man said sarcastically.
"No need, just leave and that will be fine," Arthur waves his had looking impatient.
"Tch!"
Ignoring further confrontation, the old man took charge, swiftly carrying the unconscious William away from the battleground.
Left alone, Arthur descended to the ground.
Touki, in admiration, praised Arthur's formidable strength, while Philia, her gaze lingering on Arthur, couldn't shake off the feeling of mystery surrounding him.
"You're really strong, Big Bro!" the boy exclaimed, his eyes filled with excitement.
Brandon remained silent and praised his master in his heart instead.
"My strength is merely so. Now let's focus on what to do next," Arthur's gaze became serious.
What do you think?
