Chapter 230 Recruitment and Trusting the Fate Sense
Meanwhile Arthur's thoughts were on the visions he just saw while battling William.
Firstly he saw that his luck took the form of a Golden Dragon and then he saw a battle in an unknown world.
He felt that they might meet again, perhaps in the Martial Emperor Secret Realm.
'That should be very likely,' Arthur thought.
To keep an eye on William, he asked Aixen to secretly follow him, suspecting he might be from another continent.
Aixen swiftly left unnoticed.

William and the old man appeared above the Ancient Battlefield Ruins.
"Uncle you shouldn't have interfered."
William was upset, sharing his frustration about not finishing the fight.
"I still had my trump cards you know?"
The uncle calmly showed his injured hand, revealing that Arthur left a mark despite the different realms.
"That kid is not simple. Also I suspect he was holding back."
"This..." This surprised William, realizing Arthur had hidden his true strength more than he thought.
The uncle wisely warned William, "This is what I have been trying to teach you. Never underestimate anyone, especially in a battle of life and death."
"Yes, Uncle Markins."
"Good, you still have a lot to learn. This has been a great tempering experience so far. I surmise that we should be the only ones with this kind of teleportation artifact that has let you roam the world and gather experience much more than others."
"Let's go," said the old man.
The duo used a bell-like artifact, vanished with a resonating sound, leaving only echoes. Unseen by them, Aixen observed from a distance.
At this time, Arthur was seated cross-legged, a distance away from the Skeleton Warrior as he meditated on the guise of recuperating.
Philia nodded feeling it was normal after such a heated battle, but Arthur merely wanted to wait for Aixen's information.
Aixen appears at this time, though no one could see or sense him.
Arthur acted like he was resting, letting Aixen share his observations without raising suspicion from anyone, including Brandon who stood close to him.
They communicated using spiritual sense.
Arthur took in the information thoughtfully.
'Are they the only ones with such an artifact or is this something that a few powerful forces are able to have?'
'But based on what Aixen heard, this artifact is a rare find and there is likely none other like it or even there was, it would be extremely rare regardless of if it was in the Central Continent.'
'Moreover, there should be some limitations to their artifacts as they can't compare to the one I have.'
Arthur suddenly recalled the map of the Mortal Emperor Realm he saw. On that map the Western Continent was the closest to the Southern Continent.
'So there is a high chance that they come from there then.'
Arthur stood up, calling Philia and Touki to him.
The atmosphere turned serious as they faced the skeletal guardian, overseeing events calmly.
With concern, Arthur said, "You can't go farther. The upcoming challenges are dangerous, risking your lives."
Philia nodded and replied, "You are right, we only shared the map for protection. We were not even expecting it to lead anywhere."
"Really?"
"Yeah, Touki found the map when he went to fight in the woods so we never had much hope and we're just desperate to pull out a bargaining chip for the Beard Gang Brothers to take us under their protection."
"I see," Arthur nodded in understanding.
Considering their situation, Arthur suggested, "If you agree to join me I can keep you safe from your enemies."
"But you don't know who my enemies are?"
"Are from this continent?"
"Yes."
"Then there's no problem."
Philia wondered what gave him so much confidence that he could handle their pursuers.
After a moment's hesitation, Philia looked at Touki who was tucking at her sleeves and nodded. "We'll follow you then, but you mustn't force me to do anything against my will," she agreed.
"Of course," Arthur nodded.
Before fully committing, Philia had another condition. "We want to know who you are. Your true identity."
Arthur, without hesitation, showed a badge with the Hartfield Empire Royal Family insignia.
Philia was visibly shocked when Arthur revealed his identity with the badge of the Hartfield Empire Royal Family.
"I am Prince Arthur Hartfield, Son of the Emperor," Arthur smiled.
She muttered to herself, grappling with this unexpected information that challenged her previous beliefs about Arthur's cultivation abilities.
"You're that Prince Arthur?!"
"Yeah, what's wrong? I don't have a bad reputation do I?" Arthur asked while faking a serious expression.
"What? No, not really...um..I just thought that you um..."
"Couldn't cultivate?"
"Yeah, that. But apparently you can't always trust what you hear."
"Hehe, you weren't wrong though. I only began to cultivate less than two years ago," Arthur replied.
"You what? Sorry, did you say twelve years ago or two years ago."
"What do you think?"
"Nevermind, so what now?" Philia decided to drop it as she doubted Arthur was telling the truth.
His name, once associated with an inability to cultivate, now carried weight, contradicting her preconceptions.
Meanwhile, Touki had thoughts of his own.
"Hey, why are you guys forgetting about me!"
"That's not true Touki, we were just settling the terms of our agreement. This is for the adults to discuss."
"Aren't I am adult too?"
"What who told you that?"
"Uncle did! He said whoever is strong enough is old enough."
"Tch! That stupid old man. I told you not to listen to him," Philia felt exasperated.
"Big bro what do you think?" Touki turned to Arthur.
"I agree with your uncle," Arthur grinned.
"Whoever has the strongest fist is the eldest in the martial world."
"Hey, don't say that!" Philia stomped her feet.
"Alright, let's move to proper business."
Arthur explained some more things to Philia and she nodded in understanding but she was also at a loss why Arthur was giving such information.
'Why does he trust me that much?' This was her thought but meanwhile Arthur was merely following the guidance of his Fate Sense.
Touki told Arthur that he wanted to become strong and Arthur confidently claimed to be the best person for the task in the entire world.
While Touki listened eagerly, Philia couldn't shake the thought that Arthur might be boasting.
Despite any reservations, Arthur chose to trust them, guided by fate's threads indicating the value they could hold.
Moreover he knows that to walk the path of a sovereign, he needs subjects with great luck who are favoured by the heavens.
What do you think?
