Chapter 215 Grace and Flora
Listening to the rest of the message, Extraterrestrials worldwide heard:
"If the first part of the instructions doesn't produce the desired results, then begin with the second part of the instructions. Threaten, capture, and torture every single human that we have allowed 'its' son to get close to thus far. The plants have already been planted; your objective is to use them.
And if in the end, gruesomely eliminating those close to the target does not work in forcing the target to call 'it' out, then even more excessive measures will be required. By the time Protocol #490 needs to be put into motion, the world will already be ours, so everything will be at our disposal. Absolutely everything. Burn… Burn out the rat to catch the snake."
The message ended there, and all at once, hundreds of millions of 'humans' returned to whatever they were doing. They acted completely normal—very… human.
— On an unknown mountain peak on Earth —
A man adorned in ragged traveler's robes tipped his straw hat down enough to fully cover his rugged features. He relaxed on a red beach chair. In his hands was the latest Playboy magazine, its explicit images eliciting occasional oohs and ahhs from the man with the straw hat.
However, suddenly, the straw hat man looked up from his naughty magazine. His Magic Sense rapidly expanded and covered the entire world in an instant, doing so unnoticed by all. Specifically, though, his Magic Sense honed in on a certain part of the Antarctic—the part that was now split into two parts and currently sliding off one another, leading up to what would most definitely be a disaster.
Seeing an old friend in the midst of a snowfield, the straw hat man's eyes widened a little. He also noticed the crazed black-haired chick standing beside him, which made him give a casual comment:
"It looks like my kid needs my assistance with that little wife of his… But hmm… He'll never develop a good character if I help him now," said the deadbeat dad who not once helped his only son. "I'm sure he'll figure everything out on his own. He is my kid, after all," added the narcissistic womanizing bastard. "Well, at least I know for sure he's mine. I mean, just look at all the girls he has fawning over him. It almost makes him a tenth as good as I was when I was his age. Haha."@@novelbin@@
With that, he returned to immersing himself in the pages that depicted the pinnacle of cultural advancement. Even as the world around him rumbled and quaked, his eyes remained glued to the magazine. Though, when he felt his son's presence completely disappear, he looked up once more.
But then he shrugged, saying, "He's probably gone off to some faraway land to bring home another daughter-in-law. My son inherited all of my good qualities, after all, ha…"

Following a reminiscent sigh mirroring his good ol' days of cummin' n' going, he no longer paid attention to the ongoings of the world around him. Only the crisp sounds of him flipping pages of the stuff of legends could be heard from atop his lone, green mountaintop.
The Extraterrestrials, on the other hand, freaked out quite a lot when Cassius mysteriously vanished. Just like when he went to HELL's Gate Trial Floor, they tasked every one of their own with finding him.
However, unlike the last time, when he disappeared for hours, all it took was half a single minute for him to reappear as a large blip on a map that revealed his approximate location. It wasn't able to precisely determine his location, but it was enough to verify his place on this planet.
Then again, it was also because of how vaguely his location would appear on the map that when the Aliens saw him appear at the Oblivion's Threshold Gate a while back, they thought nothing of it.
It wasn't until confirmation of him entering the Gate came through that everything unraveled itself before the beings who descended to this plane from beyond the stars…
But with the target now back at home base, everything in the world returned to normal.
However, beneath the normality of it all lay an unforgiving undercurrent that only had one thing stopping it from erasing hundreds of thousands of years of human evolution…
That thing being… time.
The Extraterrestrials—like many other beings lurking in the shadows—were just biding their time… waiting for the most opportune moment to send the whole world into a pit that it wouldn't be able to climb back out of…
All for the sake of a singular being.
A singular being who would change everything.
Or nothing at all…
— A few hours after Cassius returned to Earth from the Nightmarescape, a secret conversation between sisters of the Succubus race was happening in the Realm of Pleasure —
Lazily laying off the side of her large fluffy pink bed was a gorgeous girl with long brown hair. She seemed extremely bored. And that was, in fact, the case.
Hugging a big body pillow of a man who looked an awful lot like a certain handsome devil, Grace rolled around. Her boredom mixed with a poutiness that left her as a giant complicated mess. "That dummy," she mumbled. "He's already become so close with my younger sister. Humph! Just a big dummy, that's all he is!"
Something rustled from a chair sitting beside her bed, then a wry feminine voice sounded. "You know I'm still right here, don't you…?"
Grace briefly turned her cute pouty face toward the stylish girl sitting on one of her many bunny-shaped chairs. An adorable snort echoed, followed by Grace sharply turning her face away from her sister. She rolled over as well, leaving her sister only the sight of her in bunny pajamas to look at.
"I'm not talking to you right now, you meanie," Grace grumbled.
Flora sighed. "I already told you that I'd help you sneak out of here and see him again, and it's not like I knew you felt such a way about him. At least not at first…"
What do you think?
