Chapter 216 Flora's Letter
Elder Protector Violet had filled Flora in on any of the missing details that her mother—the Succubus Queen—left out. Violet did so by looking through the records penciled down by the 'fill-in' parents at their House on Earth. It was because of these events that Flora was able to learn the whole backstory between her dear older sister and her First Mark.
Grace snuggled her charming face out of her covers, body pillow still in hand. "You promise that you'll be able to sneak me out of here to see him…? I… I just don't want to die without… without first telling him how I feel about him…"
Flora rose from her seat and grabbed her older sister's trembling hand. "You're not going to die; stop speaking such nonsense. And, of course, I'm a Succubus who keeps her word."
Grace revealed a lovely smile as her eyes creased up like two rays of sunshine. "Thank you, Flora… I-I really mean it."
Flora silently nodded.@@novelbin@@
While still holding her hand, she said, "I will, however, need you to understand that because of my first mark, I'll have to rock the bed with him. It's unavoidable. Else I'll probably be the first one to die out of us sisters…"
A bomb was dropped on Grace, and all she could do was bite her lower lip and drop her gaze from Flora's. Grace's eyes erratically flickered as she let go of her sister's hand and returned to adorably sulking in her covers. She wiggled around a lot, twisting and turning, but Flora did not interrupt her. She simply let her do whatever she had to do.
After all, Flora believed that she had already won this little game between sisters. It was also because of this belief that her smile twitched every now and then, seemingly trying to prevent itself from growing into a wide grin.
Finally, after several seconds of tossing around, Grace brought her pouty face back to her patiently waiting little sister. With a preciousness that was hard to come by in this toxic day and age, she softly murmured, "Fine… But only once to erase the mark you put on him! After that—after that no more! No, no… no…!"
"I understand," Flora replied with a small smile, inwardly celebrating. "I'll only rock the bed with him once, then I won't initiate anymore." 'He could always bring it up himself if he wants to go to poundtown again.'
Grace unwillingly nodded, though her brows furrowed a bit as she said, "And no more saying 'rock the bed'! It's… It's vulgar! And I don't like it!"
'You only don't like it because you're secretly imagining the way I'll be throttling him when we break the bed.' Flora evilly smirked inside her mind, yet outwardly complied.
Another few cute snorts escaped Grace's eternally rosy cheeks before she rolled herself up in her blanket and turned into a burrito. Facing the opposite direction of her somewhat hard-to-look-at little sister, she said, "You may excuse yourself. I want to be alone right now. And if you meet Cassius, tell him… tell him that I believe in him." She brightly smiled, but then realization shocked her expression. Rolling to face her sister, she slurred her words together, "But don't say it as if I'm pressuring him or anything! I-It's not like he has to take part in that dangerous Yggdrasil Tournament…! It's just that… that if he does, I'll be here rooting for him!"
Her expression suddenly changed again.
"But, oh God… What if the Yggdrasil Tournament really does turn out to be too dangerous…!? What if he gets hurt!?? Or worse?!? This can't happen! You must tell him to forget all about the tournament!! Tell him to forget all about me…! Even if I do end up dying… If I do die, I don't want him to blame himself…"

Turning her head up and focusing her previously unfocused eyes, she rambled, "Tell him to not worry about anything at all! Actually, I want to see him in person—"
That was when Grace realized that her little sister had already disappeared, leaving behind a letter that slowly fell to the end of her bed. Like a cold-started engine, Grace speedily unwrapped herself and jumped on the letter. Her prettily painted hands hurriedly ripped apart the letter. As her eyes scanned the content written on the paper, her complexion switched between green, purple, and red before eventually landing on pink.
She tightly hugged her Cassius body pillow, mumbling with a deep blush coloring her cheeks.
On the letter, a number of words were written, each one in Flora's handwriting. They read:
"I'll keep all my promises, dear elder sister. My sacred place shall only accept his raging dragon one time of my own volition. I promise not to catch any feelings as well, so he's all yours in that department.
As for getting you out of here, it will have to wait a few weeks, but I promise it will happen. When the Nexus Event for Earth occurs, Mother will be busy dealing with the aftermath that follows. Many Dimensions will involve themselves with the Ascension Tower of Humanity's business—including our Mother and the Aluria Family. This will be the only chance that I can have Elder Protector Violet slip you out of the Palace without alerting Mother or the other Elders. Then again, it will be quite dangerous…
Though, I'm sure that won't be enough to keep you away from your lover boy, will it?
Oh, and Big Sister, you won't be dying anytime soon. If you can't trust our family, then trust your Cassius. Ha… You should've seen how livid he became when I sparked up a conversation mentioning how I was your sister and how our Mother basically put you under house arrest. He definitely knows about our supernatural origins, but I'm pretty sure he thinks we're blood suckers… lol."
The letter ended with that.
"Shtupids..." Grace's large brown doe eyes charmingly watered. "Both my little sister and Cass, both of them are just shtupid dummies…!"
Her time of sulking and rolling resumed…
It was a period in her life that was both self-realizing and, most of all, adorable as f*ck!
What do you think?
