The idea that Rain might not consider him a worthy opponent worthy of his full effort was a considerable source of frustration and resentment for Seadrei.

"... Very well, I find your method stupid, so I shall make you understand that through brute force," Seadrei said after lowered his stance and pointed his spear toward Rain.

In the next moment, Seadrei stepped in and make the floor crack thanks to the strength of his step… in the blink of an eye, Seadrei reached and attacked Rain with a sweep of his spear.

Rain blocked the attack with his ice blades, but he was still pushed away. Rain spun in the air violently until he collided against the wall of the throne room and destroyed it. He collided against other two walls before he finally had the chance to slow down, but as soon as he did, he saw Seadrei about to stab him.

Rain thrusted one of his ice blades forward, and then the tip of the weapons collided… once again, Rain was pushed backward violently and destroyed one more wall before he finally could see the underwater capital once again.

The commotion near the castle drew the attention of the people living nearby, prompting them to approach and investigate the chaos. However, upon observing the turmoil, Seadrei swiftly intervened. He took charge, addressing the royal guards and instructing them to restore order and maintain order.

Calm and composed despite the upheaval, Seadrei efficiently managed the situation. He directed the guards to ensure that the citizens returned to their homes and remained indoors as a cautious measure. Understanding the gravity of the circumstances, Seadrei prioritized public safety and sought to prevent any unnecessary panic or disturbance among the population.

As one would expect, the people in the capital were confused after they began to hear what was going on… rumors said that Rain and Seadrei got along well, but that wasn’t what they were seeing.

"As expected, I can’t rely on brute strength against him," Rain thought. "It would be satisfying to defeat him like that, but I don’t have time to boost my pride."

Seadrei charged at Rain again, and even without footing, his charges were as fast as he had it. Rain didn’t have much mana left since his newest ring was draining a lot of his mana as well, so he will have to do focus on doing something more simple.

When Seadrei tried to stab Rain again, he blocked the spear by swinging his two ice blades at the same time. Seadrei was surprised when he felt the impact and realized that Rain wasn’t pushed away like before… his strength suddenly increased because he used Limit Breaker.

Still, Seadrei didn’t stop with that alone, and he swung his spear from one side to the other while holding it with both of his hands to overpower Rain. The impacts pushed away, but soon Seadrei realized what Rain was plotting… he was targeting his stamina. Whenever their weapons collided, Rain activated the counterflow technique.

Level 25: Counterflow Technique (30) - Counter your opponents’ attacks with impeccable timing and powerful strikes, briefly incapacitating them. Decreases their stamina by the same amount as the level of this skill with each strike.

Seadrei furrowed his eyebrows since such a plan was stupid since Rain was using more stamina than him, and he also had less stamina… Still, he knew better than to underestimate the intelligence of someone like Rain.

Seadrei stepped backward to analyze Rain’s actions with a clear head, but that gave Rain the chance to attack instead… it has been a while since Rain used that, and he never used it under those circumstances… while using the ice armor and with the ice blades in his hands. Still, he didn’t hesitate…

Rain began to move from one side to the other and slowly began to gain speed… little by little, he began to approach as well and Seadrei realized that Rain wanted to use the power of the momentum to gain some advantage, but that was something easy to counterattack… Seadrei just moved to the left side as soon as possible and when Rain turned, he began to circulate him…

What Seadrei didn’t expect was the fact that Rain’s turning speed would increase as well… even though the water was also getting in his way, his movement speed didn’t decrease… and it didn’t look like it would slow down.

Seadrei began to swim in circles to counter Rain’s movements as soon as possible as well, but even though Rain kept moving from on side to the other, it didn’t change a thing… at one moment, it looked like had four heads, such was his movement speed.

"What the hell is this?" Seadrei muttered.

In that brief moment of confusion, Rain charged in… Seadrei for the first time in a long while felt the danger for his life and time seemed to have slowed down when he saw one of the ice blades moving to his face… at that rate, Rain was going to kill him.

Seadrei quickly raised his spear and blocked the attack before being pushed away… but soon Rain approached from the other side and attacked him. Seadrei blocked with his spear once more, but he slowly felt his stamina decreasing with eachs strike. Now he was losing stamina faster than Rain…

"... It can’t be helped, huh?" Seadrei asked after he clicked his tongue.

In the next moment, his aura changed and so did the ocean around him…
