Chapter 764: One hundred arms
Rain could feel the mana levels in the area increasing… that was definitely something Seadrei was doing, and that wasn’t something that Rain was able to do it when he had the sphere… so it seemed that Seadrei was going to fight for real.
Seadrei’s hand tightly gripped the coral spear, its surface radiating an ethereal luminescence that hinted at its immense power. The spear emitted a pulsating glow, a manifestation of the potent magic energy coursing through it. The light danced along the length of the spear, casting an otherworldly sheen that illuminated the immediate surroundings.
Before long, Rain suddenly felt a massive blast of water stopping his movements and pushing him away in the opposite direction… Rain’s technique was completely stopped as he felt like a massive hand of water had slapped him from the side.
Before he could even stop, Rain felt the same hand slapping him from behind and making him feel his bones trembling.
"Shit… he is controlling the water currents of the ocean," Rain thought.
It was so much water that Rain couldn’t even dream of fighting it and Seadrei was able to control it freely and even change the direction of who knows how many thousands liters of water were there…
Using a bit of his mana, Rain was able to sense all the water in the surroundings that Seadrei could control… and he could control all of it. All of the water in a fifty kilometers radius was his to control. That was just insane…
"Well, it is only natural, I guess…" Rain thought. "He is the sea emperor and he lived in the water his whole life."
All of a sudden, Rain felt several water arms surrounding him, but soon Rain put the final version of his technique in action. Rain dashed toward Seadrei and when he was about to be smashed by another giant water hand, he moved to the side. And then up and then down to the left side. Up to the right side, down again… before long, Seadrei was unable to tell where Rain was going.
Seadrei could control all the water around, but Rain moved faster than his brain could send the message to his magic to control the waters… as such, he was unable to stop Rain.
When Rain approached all of a sudden to attack again, Seadrei fired a blast of water in all directions and repelled Rain. The power of the attack not only pushed away all the water around him, but also made the whole underground capital feel the vibrations of the spell…
"Is this the only thing I can do to respond to his attacks?" Seadrei thought as he watched Rain moving erratically like that again. "This speed and change in directions while keeping the constant change between acceleration and slowing down is beyond what living beings should be able to do."
Seadrei knew the limitations inherent in the processing speed of living beings. Despite his lack of clear knowledge, he comprehended the fundamental concept that transmitting commands within the body required a certain amount of time. Although not precisely versed in scientific terms, he was aware that it took a fraction of a second for the brain to dispatch signals to various parts of the body.
In his understanding, the brain could effectively transmit only a limited number of orders to the body within a given timeframe. Conceptually, this meant that an individual’s cognitive processes and physical responses were bound by this inherent limitation. @@novelbin@@
Each cognitive command and corresponding physical reaction required a fraction of a second to register and execute—a notion akin to a series of sequential responses with a small time interval.
"One’s instincts can’t be the sole reason for this…." Seadrei thought. "Either way, he trained his brain to make his body receive more than ten orders per second."
Just making the body move change directions from left to right more than five times would be extremely difficult… making it move up and down and diagonally would be even more insane and that was what Rain was doing.
Seadrei took a deep breath and then focused his mind on the task ahead… in the next moment, he grabbed the spear with both hands and extended his arms. His control over water reached a whole new level and then he decreased the area that he could influence in order to have control over the water surrounding only the capital… he didn’t stop there, though.
In the tranquil area of the underwater city, an ethereal luminescence flickered beneath the surface. Gradually, the radiant glimmers condescend into colossal arms, each one towering nearly fifty meters in length. Dozens of these immense arms materialized one after another, rising behind Seadrei in a stunning display of aquatic powers.
The shimmering water transformed into mighty, serpentine limbs, embodying a mesmerizing and formidable sight within the underwater kingdom.
"That seemed like a pretty good technique to slap dragons…" Rain thought while he was moving around erratically. "I can’t use more mana than this, so I have to make it do with what I have… also, why everyone’s techniques are cooler than mine?"
Calling it one hundred arms of the sea emperor seemed like the best option, it was also very grand… still, Rain stopped thinking about that when the hand tried to smash him. While Rain could see them clearly thanks to the vasts amounts of Mana, they were much faster than before…

When Rain tried to get closer, several hands stopped him and others almost smashed him from the sides, so he was forced to turn around and retreat.
"This is certainly a pain," Rain thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "Wait… if he is using more mana in a small area…"
In the end, Rain could finish things there the way he liked… with a good punch. Thanks to the higher concentration of mana in the area, the gluttony ring absorbed more mana and Rain could use a bit more… he used that extra to turn the ice blades into giant ice fists.
