Seadrei squinted his eyes when he realized that Rain wanted to overpower him like that… he knew that Rain was impertinent, but he was supposed to be smarter than that…
In the end, Seadrei used five of the water arms to slap Rain at the same time, but a powerful blast happened before they could reach him.
The entire space quivered violently, causing the underwater city to tremble and sway. The movements of the water sent ripples coursing through the surroundings, agitating the very foundations of the city. Amidst this chaotic upheaval, Seadrei strained to perceive the events unfolding before him.
In a moment of keen observation, he discerned Rain’s seemingly imperceptible arm motions—so rapid that they appeared almost motionless to the naked eye, defying conventional understanding of movement.
Rain didn’t expect that he would have the chance to use Perfect Block like that, but it was certainly useful with the giant ice fists.
"Well, it is time to end this," Rain said. "I wonder if I can copy him by creating the ice version of that technique. He won’t be able to copy strike me if I use it with ice, right?"
Rain began to move again from one side to the other up and down, but his speed decreased a bit since the giant ice fists were that heavy. Still, they served him well… when Seadrei tried to attack him, Rain repelled the water fists with the ice fists and he wasn’t having a hard time at all. The underwater capital was suffering a bit since each impact reverberated through the place.
At the same time, Seadrei was slowly getting impatient… Rain wondered why. That technique was Powerful, but he certainly had time to learn others… he was over five hundred years old, after all.
Unless… Once he learned that and he learned that he could use it against the ice dragons effectively, he stopped trying to learn new techniques… It made sense since the dragons were the most dangerous enemies in the world.
At some point, Rain realized that impacts were making some houses getting cracks and just his current strategy wouldn’t be enough against Seadrei… whenever he got closer, Seadrei would stop him with punches for ten arms at the same time…
"Guess I will have to use Magic Boost for a moment…" Rain thought. "That will make my mana drop, but it can’t be helped, I will drink some potions later."
Most of the mana that Rain was recovering was going to the third ring, so it couldn’t be helped. In the moment Rain activated Magic Boost, Seadrei raised his guard even more since Rain’s speed and control over his ice armor and giant ice arms increased. It nearly doubled… As such, Rain became a blur in the ocean while he was moving. @@novelbin@@
Even Seadrei couldn’t see him moving at all… only after images were left and when he tried to punch them, he only pushed away some of the water and distorted the after image.
"This can only be a joke," Seadrei grunted in annoyance.
Seadrei made all of his bodies retreat and created a shield on his back. Soon after, he closed his eyes to feel the movements of the ocean if he couldn’t see Rain moving. Seadrei could only sense a single and messy water current that represented Rain’s path… it was similar to a spiral ring… if he could stop the water there, he eventually would hit Rain.
In the nex moment, Seadrei used half of the water arms to crush Rain, the arms hit all the spots in the path that Rain used, but he wasn’t hit at all… in the next moment, Rain suddenly appeared in front of Seadrei… he avoided all those attacks in the blink of an eye.
Still, Seadrei considered that such a thing would happen, so he responded accordingly… he used the remaining arms to hit Rain with all his might. In the end, Rain was stopped and he was completely smashed from all directions… or so Seadrei thought.
All of the water arms were suddenly repelled since Rain attacked all of them with all his might repetitively and then Seadir was completely unprotected… Rain approached him to punch with all his might, but Seadrei still raised his spear.
The serenity of the ocean was shattered as Rain’s powerful punch clashed with Seadrei’s defense, creating a seismic disturbance that rippled through the depths of the ocean. The sheer force of their collision sent a reverberating shockwave across the vast expanse of the aquatic capital.
Seadrei, attempting to withstand Rain’s assault, was forcefully hurled backward, his form twisting and spinning through the waters until he crashed against the ocean bottom. This colossal clash caused an immense commotion, stirring the tranquil waters into a tumultuous uproar that persisted, unsettling the serene depths for a while.
Rain sighed in relief since he didn’t get any notifications… he didn’t hold back, so there was a chance that he could have killed Seadrei… regardless, he canceled his techniques and then went to check on him.
In the end, Rain found Seadir getting up while he was holding his left arm. It seemed that one broke thanks to the attack… he was also bleeding through the nose and mouth, but aside from that, Seadrei was fine. He didn’t look angry either.
"... You are quite something… to be able to overpower me like this while not going all out," Seadrei said after a long sigh.
"You lost the very moment you thought that this technique of yours was the best you could accomplish," Rain said. "While it is good agaisnt water dragons in the ocean, it wouldn’t be as nearly as effective outside and there was the matter of compatibility as well. Ice is stronger than water since it has more mana as well.
Anyway, if you can’t defeat me under these conditions, you can’t fight the dragons that I faced outside the ocean."
"... Are things really that bad for all of us?" Seadrei asked.
What do you think?
