Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 285 285: Touch Her, and You're Slapping My Face...

Naoko wasn't angry at all. With a mischievous smile, she summoned her Black Soul familiar, which carried her toward another floating corpse island.

As she flew out of the island where Orson was, the message about the area exceeding the player limit vanished, and a blue light surrounded the current region. The interface now displayed "1/1 Seat", and the task progress was at 0%.

"Let's kill her first, then we can discuss who takes the seat!"

"Players from UJ District, get lost!"

However, before Naoko could land, gunmen from the Maple Nation district immediately launched an attack. Countless magic-powered bullets rained down on her.

"I'm so scared! Please don't kill me, okay? I'll let you!" Naoko's face turned pale as she screamed in panic. The Black Soul familiar spun and chose not to land.

"UJ women are born to be cheap, they should be enslaved by us!"

The group of players from Maple Nation District were ecstatic. Riding mechanical beasts, they charged at her.

"My angel, don't be afraid, my wild and powerful shots will surely satisfy you, haha!"

A player, resembling a black uncle, leered at Naoko with an evil grin.

"Oh, I'm so looking forward to you satisfying my desires... really looking forward to it…" Naoko blushed and smiled with a neurotic charm, as if playing along with their crude remarks.

Orson shook his head, clearly displeased with the situation. "Why mess with anyone else, you have to mess with her?"

Before the players could get too excited, Naoko lightly waved her staff, and the familiar space opened wide. A massive creature suddenly descended on their landing zone with a deafening crash.

"Oh my god... what kind of monster is this?"

The MN District players stood in shock, gazing at the strange and terrifying creature.

Yamata no Orochi's water-based snake heads swayed, and a chilling waterfall appeared out of nowhere, with torrents of water crashing down.

The entire floating corpse island trembled violently as the players were swept into a puddle of blood and mud by the deluge.

"UJ people do worship the strong, but too bad, you're not it." Naoko chuckled, mockingly.

Yamata no Orochi acted like a magic turret, continuously firing elemental spells into the air, indiscriminately attacking the players emerging from the rifts. Blood rained down from the sky, and the loot shimmered around Naoko as dozens of players died without even seeing her face.

"These people are so poor... looks like they're just cannon fodder from MN District."

"Who's coming to fulfill my wish… Hurry up, I can't wait!"

Naoko blinked her eyes seductively, a smile of allure on her face. Her sweet voice even had a hint of decadence, striking a chord in the players' hearts, causing cold sweat to pour down their backs.

Is this really the so-called "once-in-a-century beauty" from UJ District?

This is a demoness straight out of hell!

She's luring naive players to their deaths!

"She's just a summoner, what's there to be afraid of? Kill her body, and the summoned beasts will vanish," a cold voice rang out. A man riding a skeletal horse charged out from the rift, holding a knight's shield high. Dark energy swirled around him.

The knight's shield collided with the incoming [Firestone Explosive] and sent it flying away.

"A-grade magic, deflected..." Naoko's face changed, disbelief written all over it.

The skeletal knight raised his other hand, holding a strange-looking wolf-tooth spear. With a swift motion, he thrust it forward. The end of the spear emitted crackling electric dragons that caught the incoming [Firestone Explosive], holding it in the air.

"Demonic Knight Technique: Frenzied Lightning Dragons!"

The spear then pointed directly at Naoko, and a fireball the size of a small mountain, wrapped in lightning, slammed down towards her.

"Ranked 7th on the Leaderboards! Hellish Demon Knight, Davis."

"Called the 'Knight of Hundred Percent Return Damage,' I thought it was just a boast, but he actually deflected Yamata no Orochi's magic!" One of the players exclaimed in awe.

The lightning and firestone exploded, locking down Naoko's movement, and the enormous AOE coverage meant that even if she had Yamata no Orochi tank the hit, she would still die if even the residual wave touched her!

Realizing the danger, Naoko's expression darkened. "Hound Spirit!"

The Hound Spirit familiar crouched and then sprang up, quickly turning to stone in midair. Black ripples surged as it forcibly absorbed the electric firestone damage.

Critical Damage -4 million!

Burning -10,000!

Burning...

Naoko's face shifted between pale and angry, watching as her Hound Spirit's health dropped by almost half. The absurdly high damage was due to the return damage from Yamata no Orochi's magic.

Davis sneered. "I've seen many women like you. Submit."

After speaking, four strong players from the MN District appeared behind him. All were from the Leaderboards, each outfitted with plenty of enchanted gear and strong combat abilities.

Orson, observing the situation with a smile, noted that at least a quarter of the top 100 players on the Leaderboards were from the MN District. It wasn't just because their growth routes were strong in the early stages; it was also because players from MN District were as wealthy as those from the US District.

"Traitor, you don't deserve to be here," Ishinaka's voice cut through the tension as dozens of figures appeared from the direction of UJ District. Among them were the three guild leaders.

Ishinaka: "Naoko, your actions have finally caught up with you."

Rukawa: "Surrender, you won't end well if you stay with someone like Orgod."

Kawakita: "If you return to UJ, everything can be forgiven. I'll talk to the President and make sure you get a lighter punishment."

Since Thousand Hands Guild had been crippled, S-level Mage Kawakita had been promoted to Guild Leader, gaining the Epic Rank Soul Seal and gaining enough power to potentially replace Naoko as the strongest player in Infinite Dimensions.

"Hehehe… Lighter punishment? You're just a puppet for the corporation. What gives you the right to talk to me like that?" Naoko laughed so hard she nearly cried.

"You don't know what's good for you. With your game talent, the corporation won't harm you or your family," Kawakita frowned and said.

"You mean... I still have some value?" Naoko raised an eyebrow, her eyes glinting with mockery.

Kawakita didn't deny it, confirming her suspicion.

Naoko giggled sweetly and then looked longingly at Orson's direction, her eyes full of affection. "By his side, my value will be maximized. Who knows, maybe I'll even marry him... envy me?"

Orson's blood boiled. He had never seen such an overly eager woman in his life. He wanted to rush to Naoko's apartment and forcefully send her to a mental hospital.

"Ice Starstorm."

Naoko's laughter abruptly stopped. Yamata no Orochi launched another assault, and a massive water orb exploded, turning into countless arrows of ice, shooting in all directions.

"Space Grab!"

Ishinaka snorted coldly, and numerous spatial whirlpools appeared around him, gathering the ice arrows into them.

Meanwhile, Apocalypse Knight, leading over ten thieves, rode their beasts low to the ground, flying around Yamata no Orochi. Once they were close, they jumped off their mounts and quickly went into stealth, heading straight for the summoner!

Naoko realized the danger and quickly sent a private message: "Orson, you're not going to leave me behind, right?"

Orson's head nearly exploded. With him and Naoko in the same faction, UJ District's tax plans would be difficult to implement without her.

As Naoko was about to be killed, Orson suddenly spoke up. "Who dares to fight me?"

"Hurry! We're within Orgod's range!" Ishinaka was startled, remembering just how terrifying Orson could be when he got serious, and now, he might have gotten even stronger.

Rukawa: "Orgod, I advise you to stay out of it. Letting you occupy an island is already showing you respect!"

Hearing this, Orson raised an eyebrow and looked at them calmly. "Touch her, and you're slapping my face."

"No need to worry about him, I'll handle him!"

Davis sneered, riding his skeletal horse, shield and lightning spear raised as he charged at Orson, while several other MN District experts surrounded him and attacked.

"You... think you're good at blocking magic?" Orson's gaze flashed, and he chuckled in mockery.

Davis kept a grim face, remaining silent. Even though he was known as the "Knight of Hundred Percent Return Damage," a perfect counter to pure mages, he wasn't so confident facing this man.

Orson leisurely raised his hand and snapped his fingers. A mist of ice-blue fog spread. "Ice Prison Ring."
