Internet Magic in Fairy Tail

Chapter 408: Elentear

To the east of Darasil Road, about a dozen kilometers away, lies a city named Dramil.

Originally constructed to monitor the Wood Dragon God Aldoron, the city eventually evolved into a popular tourist destination.

By now, it was evening.

Having completed their mission, Nate and his companions relocated to this city.

Interestingly, despite the locals’ fear of Aldoron, merchandise and memorabilia themed around the Wood Dragon were surprisingly popular.

For instance, the Aldoron Hot Springs Inn.

This inn was designed to mimic Aldoron’s appearance, making it a favorite among visitors.

Thanks to their title as "The Heroes Who Defeated the Wood Dragon God," the inn offered them free accommodations and hospitality.

With free hot springs available, of course, they decided to make the most of it.

Men’s Bathhouse

Nate, Natsu, and Happy, along with one other cat, were soaking comfortably in the hot spring. Naturally, the women were in the adjacent bathhouse.

"This feels amazing~~" Happy floated on the water’s surface, his feline face full of satisfaction. "After such intense battles, being able to relax in a hot spring is the best, Natsu."

Natsu folded his arms, pondering. "Aldoron turned into soil and wood in the end. So when dragons die, do they all turn out like that?"

"Not usually," Nate shook his head. "He was a particularly powerful dragon. Even in death, his body wouldn’t decay."

In fact, calling it "death" wasn’t entirely accurate—it was more akin to an eternal slumber. If subjected to immense external forces, it was even possible to wake him.

Aldoron had chosen to self-destruct rather than submit to Nate’s Dragon Taming. Nate had no intention of forcing the matter.

Should anyone attempt to revive him, the Dragon Taming Technique would reactivate and immediately restrain the Wood Dragon God.

"So there’s no need to worry."

"Two down—Mercphobia and Aldoron. So there are three left," Natsu mused aloud. "Where are the other three dragons hiding?"

"Monsters like that... and there are still three more? Just thinking about it gives me a headache," Happy sighed, shrugging his little paws.

"Let’s take a break for a few days," Nate replied with a chuckle. "There’s no rush to finish the Hundred-Years Quest. As for the Moon Dragon, I already have some leads."

For Nate, the quest wasn’t a race—it was more like a journey.

After soaking in the hot spring for about half an hour, Nate left first.

Women’s Bathhouse

"I didn’t expect the bathhouse here to be so large," Wendy said as she sat behind Carla, carefully washing the cat’s fur. "Carla, even the soap here smells nice."

"I can wash myself, you know..." Carla responded, her tone carrying a hint of tsundere pride.

Meanwhile, Brandish lay at the edge of the hot spring, her head propped on her arms, smiling. "Wendy, the Sky Dragon Slayer... I didn’t expect someone as tiny as you to take down one of Aldoron’s guardians."

"I didn’t win by myself... It’s only because Nate defeated the 'brain' that I was able to exploit the opening," Wendy said modestly.

Hearing this, Carla, wrapped in a small white towel, gave Brandish a deadpan look and sighed.

"You’re one of the Spriggan, right? So that means there are ten more mages as strong as you?"

"No, just nine," Dimaria interjected with a smirk. "Irene-sama mentioned Fairy Tail’s Dragon Slayers once. It’s interesting that all of you have cats as companions."

Wendy and Carla instantly stiffened. Irene’s name brought back memories of their encounter at the Arcane Resort, where they had briefly "revealed everything" to one another.

Thinking back to that night, both Wendy and Carla blushed deeply, recalling how bold they had been.

Carla quickly changed the topic. "I’m from another world, Edolas—a place you could consider a kingdom of cats."

Wendy added with a smile, "Carla’s mother is actually the queen of Extalia."

"That’s right!" Carla said proudly. "I share the same special ability as my mother—the ability to foresee the future."

After a pause, she asked curiously, "Dimaria, Nate said you’re a descendant of the God of Time. Are you really the child of a god?"

"Who knows?" Dimaria replied with a shrug, resting her chin on her hand. "We worship an ancient god of time—Chronos—but no one has ever seen them."

Dimaria’s magic allowed her to channel the power of the God of Time, granting her part of Chronos’ abilities.

However, she had never encountered an actual god herself.

Stories about gods often circulated within the magical world, but there were no confirmed accounts of anyone having direct contact with them.

"If there are real, living gods, they’re probably... fallen ones by now," she said softly.

Hot Spring Inn – Nate's Room

Taking advantage of the quiet time after his bath, Nate resumed refining his programming book.

Whenever this book was complete, the 1.0 official version of the Magic Net could be released.

Without realizing it, an hour passed.

Nate temporarily set the writing aside; there was no rush. Writing a little each day, whenever he had free time, would eventually get the job done.

Instead, he opened the backend to check on the reserve of curse energy.

Ever since the Cursed Technique Research Institute had been completed, it had provided him with a considerable daily influx of curse energy.

However, accumulating 300,000 curse energy points would still take quite a while.

"Should I capitalize on the Five Dragon Gods’ situation to harvest a wave of negative emotions from the people of the Northern Continent?"

Nate pondered briefly, but the idea felt troublesome.

He wasn’t in any urgent need to ascend to godhood. Slowly accumulating curse energy would work just as well.

Speaking of the Five Dragon Gods, for the remaining three, he needed to gather more intelligence about the Moon Dragon.

With that thought in mind, Nate opened the Magic Net and searched for the ID "Fairy Hunter."

Sigma Male: “Good evening, Queen Erza.”

Meanwhile – Parallel World, Edolas

Inside the Queen's chamber, Queen Erza Knightwalker was carefully reviewing documents when Nate’s private message popped up. A faint smile appeared on her lips.

Fairy Hunter: “Just call me Erza.”

Fairy Hunter: “By the way, the one million rings you requested have been prepared. When do you need them?”

Sigma Male: “Ah… I don’t need them anymore.”

Sigma Male: “Actually, I wanted to ask you about something: the parallel world of Edolas—do you know anything about Elentear?”

Fairy Hunter: “The Critical Magic World, Elentear… 😮”

Fairy Hunter: “I didn’t expect to hear that name from you. I don’t know much about it, but if you’re interested, I can help you look up some information.”

Sigma Male: “Right now?”

Sigma Male: “In that case, I’ll come over for a bit.”

Fairy Hunter: “Huh? You’re coming here???”

Fairy Hunter: “Wait… hold on!”

Before Queen Erza could finish typing, a golden light flashed in her bedroom. Nate had already appeared before her.

"Good evening, Your Majesty," Nate greeted her with a casual smile.

Queen Erza quietly closed her book and sighed, shaking her head. "This is my bedroom… Could you step outside for a moment? I need to change."

Seriously, just barging in like this!

Then again, it was Nate—the version of her partner from another world and the savior of her own.

If it were anyone else, they’d have already tasted the sharp tip of her Magic Spear: Ten Commandments.
