Chapter 409: Moon Dragon God, Selene
Shortly After – Living Room
A maid brought over warm tea. "Please enjoy, Nate-sama."
"Thank you."
Nate sipped his tea lightly, his gaze settling on the woman across the table.
Queen Erza had changed into a regal, floor-length gown. She now sat there, seriously flipping through some records.
"Before the previous king decided to launch the Anima Project, there were actually two target worlds."
"One was your Earthland World, and the other was the Critical Magic World, Elentear, which you’re asking about."
Nate nodded. He already knew a bit about this. What he really wanted to know were the coordinates.
Without spatial-time coordinates, he couldn’t easily enter Elentear.
"So, does the book record them? The specific spatial coordinates?"
Queen Erza buried her head in the book. "It should; otherwise, the former king wouldn’t have considered it."
Ultimately, the plan to target Elentear was abandoned because that world was home to beings capable of crossing dimensions.
It was said their abilities surpassed even the extradimensional magic of Anima.
That was likely referring to the Moon Dragon, Selene—a dragon capable of traversing dimensions and time.
The previous king, if he had any sense, wouldn’t have wanted to provoke such a dragon.
Of course, he also didn’t expect Earthland to be just as challenging, leading to the plan’s failure when Nate brought forces to confront them directly.
As Nate waited, he curiously asked, "How does your world know about Selene, the Moon Dragon? Isn’t it separated by another world?"
"I’m not sure either. Maybe that dragon once visited our world," Queen Erza speculated.
Nate found this guess plausible. With Selene’s abilities, going anywhere seemed feasible, including Elentear.
"What do you know about Elentear?" Nate asked as he leisurely drank his tea.
"What’s written in this book—I can’t confirm if it’s true."
The alternate Erza raised her head and handed him the ancient-looking tome.
"That world is the opposite of ours. It’s written here that Elentear is a world overflowing with magic… You can read it for yourself."
Nate took the book. It was yellowed and clearly over a hundred years old.
Flipping through the delicate pages carefully, he found that it indeed recorded some details about Elentear.
However, it didn’t include specific spatial coordinates.
"Why are you suddenly so interested in Elentear? Are you planning to expand the Magic Net to that world?" Queen Erza elegantly crossed her legs, sipping her tea.
"No, it’s about the Hundred-Years Quest…" Nate briefly explained before smiling. "But that does give me an idea."
"What idea?" Queen Erza raised an eyebrow, puzzled.
Nate opened the backend of the Magic Net and started searching for all user coordinates.
"The Internet has already spread to the Northern Continent. If the Moon Dragon is well-informed, she may already be a user."
Previously, he couldn’t use user coordinates for tracking, but now it was possible.
If Selene really had become a user of the Magic Net, he could use that to find Elentear.
Erza didn’t quite understand, but she stayed silent, quietly observing.
Nate first searched for specific usernames, such as "Moon Dragon" or "Selene."
Unfortunately, there were no results. The dragon clearly wasn’t using her real name online.
Next, he tried a broad keyword search for "Moon."
This time, the results were overwhelming—over 3,000 related IDs. Finding the Moon Dragon among them would take considerable effort.
After thinking for a moment, Nate opted for an indirect approach by filtering user coordinates.
Currently, the Magic Net had over a million users.
First, he excluded coordinates from Earthland. This included the Eastern Continent (Ishgar), the Western Continent, and the Northern Continent.
Next, he filtered out coordinates from Edolas.
Finally, he excluded coordinates from the Dragon Hunters’ game world.
The remaining results?
Just over 10,000 users.
That number stunned him.
How could there still be over 10,000 users?
Then it dawned on him. These filters didn’t require users to be online—they only had to have logged into the Magic Map once. The coordinates would then be recorded in the backend database.
"Ah, I almost forgot about the Celestial Spirit World."
Remembering another potential source, Nate filtered out those coordinates as well.
Ultimately, the remaining coordinates dwindled to just 17 locations.
How bizarre—there were still 17 unknown locations.
These 17 users had last logged in from places outside of Earthland, Edolas, or the Celestial Spirit World.
Frowning, Nate tracked the activity of these accounts.
Moments later, the answer became clearer.
Most of the coordinates corresponded to Magic Rings sealed in interdimensional spaces.
The motives behind this were unclear, but it meant the accounts were "dead"—rings left unused for ages.
All except one: an active account named "Moon Queen."
Its most recent login? Three hours ago.
This was a live account, activated earlier today.
"Moon Queen?" Nate mused. Could this really be Selene, the Moon Dragon?
Locking onto the coordinates, he considered using the Flying Thunder God Technique to jump directly to the location.
After some thought, he decided to play it safe and test the waters first.
Using his main account, Sigma Male, would draw too much attention. A subtle approach was better.
"Queen Erza, could you send a friend request to an account named ‘Moon Queen’?"
"She’s the Moon Dragon?"
"Not necessarily, but we can find out."
"Got it."
The alternate Erza nodded and promptly did as Nate suggested.
She opened her Magic Net interface, searched for the corresponding username, and sent a friend request.
[Message: Hello, I’d like to get to know you. Could you add me as a friend?]
The other side was online and quickly accepted the request.
Moon Queen: "Fairy Hunter… I know who you are. You’re the Queen of the Edolas Kingdom, aren’t you?"
Seeing the private message, Queen Erza was taken aback and instinctively looked at Nate.
Nate, holding his tea, stood up and walked behind her, smiling.
"Looks like you’re quite famous too."
"I rarely post anything on the Magic Net…" Queen Erza said, puzzled.
Her username had recently gained attention mainly because of her activity in the [Magic Arena], where she ranked among the top 100 players.
Fairy Hunter: "I am Erza Knightwalker, Queen of the Edolas Kingdom. Pleased to meet you."
Moon Queen: "I think I understand what’s going on. ☺️"
Moon Queen: "As expected, the Magic Net is dangerous. I didn’t think I’d be exposed so quickly."
Moon Queen: "I wonder if the Magic Net’s creator, Nate, is standing beside you?"
Queen Erza was stunned. After just adding her as a friend, the other party immediately pieced everything together.
"What a sharp individual!" She frowned and said, "Nate, it seems she really is the Moon Dragon!"
At the same time, Nate raised his head, looking toward the ceiling of the living room.
Waves of spatial energy rippled through the air, and a spatial rift formed on the ceiling, opening into a dimensional tunnel.
A woman dressed like a shrine maiden appeared, calmly seated in midair.
"Nice to meet you, Magic Net’s creator."
Nate raised an eyebrow. "I wasn’t expecting you to show up in person so quickly. That’s a surprise."
Selene, the Moon Dragon, rested her chin in her hand, tilting her head slightly.
"After the Water Dragon and Wood Dragon, am I your next target?"
What do you think?
