With that I’m brought to a platform. The ground is metal and there are seven other people on the platform with me. That meant that out of the 10 eight of us chose to take part in the event. My stats being so high that it skewed the event too far in my favor so we were all brought back to our original appearances. A single knife came down in front of all of us, waiting to be picked up.

I pick mine up, it feels perfect in my hand, the perfect balance and length giving it an almost unnatural feeling like it was part of my body. I knew it was my unnatural disposition towards weaponry. I could tell the small child to my left didn’t like the way it felt while the old man to my right felt just as good about the weapon as I did. Words popped up for us all as I moved towards the old man before touching an invisible wall.

In five minutes the arena will open into a free for all. Anyone left alive at the end will have succeeded in the test… A count down began to go as I knew this was the time meant for perhaps teamming together. The only two that could hear me was the old man and the young boy though which meant people could only really team up with two other people, unless they knew each other from the outside.

There was a possibility but I doubted it. We were all far too different than before, there was the chance that someone around eighteen years old picked powers that didn’t alter his appearance but more than likely they looked different in here than out in the Marvel/DC universe. Myself included. I could feel aches and pains in this old body I thought I’d never have to deal with again as I looked at my two neighbors.

The old man stared forward as the boy began to cry pounding on the wall towards the person on the opposite side of me. So he might be able to hear me but by being on the opposite side I couldn’t hear him, it was another detail someone more thoughtful could use to their advantage. The boy was youngish, possibly thirteen while the old man was very old, possibly in his eighties.

It was really unfortunate for both of them that I could guess their alter ego’s from the outside world. I had my networks keep tabs on all the leftovers from the 100 and neither of the two beside me were heroes, both taking on the villain roll. The old man had made himself a decent Flash villain, picking the speed force and death touch powers by aging his body five decades to afford it(my speculated reason for why he was so old).

His villain moniker was Old Death and he killed everyone else in his starting circle when they were teleported in. He might be the only villain who’s killed more members of the hundred than me. The little boy was far worse. Old Death toned down his killing dramatically after he moved to Star City, mostly because of his rival, mostly because he knew eventually someone would kill him.

The little boy on the other hand was a true terrorist. He had taken over a country and was ruling as the head dictator almost the moment he could. He had lowered his base stats down enough to buy Kryptonian body, it made him skinny, weak, frail, and kind of dumb but that didn’t matter when he was supercharged to near cosmic by the son(once again speculation for my analysis on his powers). He was causing mass genocides in the country and the news just landed on my table.

It was one of the things I was going to solve before joining the Justice League but the sudden completion of the first test both saved his life and put him in far more danger. I had no problems killing a kid, he was thirteen. He should have known better and out of everyone here, my two neighbors were two people I was going to make sure didn’t survive.
