Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1134 Hatching of the ocean

[OP: ]

In the middle of the vast artificial ocean made with the unique artifacts and magic of a divine being, a small island appeared like a forgotten treasure.

A patch of soft, golden sand surrounded by clear blue water. Three tall trees standing at one end of the island, their slender trunks reaching up toward the sky. Leaves rustling gently in the fresh sea breeze, adding a touch of life to the quiet scene.

The scenery was not easy to recreate. The water here seemed as real as it could be, the sand of the island was as real as it could flow, and even the natural feeling that one can get from here was as real as it could possibly be felt.

The weather on the island was pleasantly warm. The 'sun' shone brightly, casting a golden light over everything. The air smelled of salt and sea, mixed with the sweet scent of tropical flowers that grew nearby.

Waves crashed against the shore, sending white foam rolling onto the sand before retreating back into the ocean. The sound of the waves created a calm rhythm, blending with the soft rustle of the leaves above.

In this ethereal, unreal place, a certain figure was sitting with their friend, or partner, as one can describe…

"I know it's not real."

Sitting beside a large, blue egg nestled in the sand with strange artifacts resembling dots of black was a girl with striking blue hair that fell like a waterfall over her shoulders.

She looked peaceful and thoughtful, her eyes fixed on the egg instead of the beautiful scene before her as if it held secrets waiting to be uncovered.

The egg beside her, currently connected with a unique artifact that sat on the other side of the island, shimmered in the sunlight, its smooth surface reflecting shades of blue that matched both her hair and the deep sea around her.

"I cannot help it, there aren't many places here like this."

The ocean, the island, the water, the egg, everything was one, and there was Quin. Her eyes were focused not on the ocean, not on the nature that she was already familiar with, nor on something that she knew was already unreal. The only real thing here was her familiar egg, as well as she herself.

Still, there was longing in Quin's eyes right now. A smile on her face contradicted that longing for something she had been wanting to feel once again.

"It used to be a bigger one, our home…"

Ever since she remembered, she had lived on an island filled with all kinds of things with her grandfather. She was the only person there with her grandfather, so her viewpoint of the world had always been limited and simple.

She was a child in the eyes of her grandfather he had raised her with everything that he had. She was able to control water, she had a grimoire, she had something no one else had… she had known she was not his biological child, but until she was much older, she did not even understand the concept of being adopted.

Ever since she was young, she liked playing with creatures of the water. She liked things that the others around her right now did not.

She had lived on an island with limited resources so she had not had much unique food. And still, there were some things that her grandfather used to feed her– things that she knew were not going to come back anymore.

Eon could recreate the taste of the things that she might have tasted in the past, but he could not bring her grandfather back, and that was a fact she had accepted a long time ago.

"Looking back, the waters used to look much more familiar…"

It had not been that long since she came to the academy, out of that enclosed place where she had lived all her life.

She knew that if it weren't for Eon and Elle, she would not have even known the common language of this place, much less things that she needed to know.

Her life used to be normal thanks to her grandfather back then, and after meeting Eon and Elle, while full of twists and turns, her life was simply filled with much more fun than she had ever expected it to be.

She had loved the time that they spent together and the things that she had learned over these past few months. She had also learned a lot of things from their teachers at the academy and went through various things that she knew were only possible thanks to Eon and the people around him.

"It was a fortuitous encounter– meeting those two."

She was simply practicing on one fine morning, and the next thing she knew, the two of them were standing before her. Rein took care of her, taught her things that she had not known anything about, and like a big brother, Eon looked after her, and everything related to her that needed to be taken care of.

"It's also thanks to them that we met, you know?"

Her familiar egg… she had been with this one for a few months now.

They were together for a while, they had talked for hours about what they were going to do once she came to this world, how her mother was going to react, as well as how they were going to take care of her mom.

Since they were very protective, this whole matter was not going to be resolved easily. She might have chosen Quin as her master or the other way around, but there were still many things that they needed to face together to complete the chapter of their story.

[{ They haven't done everything for you, dummy. They just help you… you're the one that does everything. Or at least, it is because you want it to happen that they do everything within their power to help you with it. }]

Quin knew the time was approaching.

Thanks to this strange incubating technology that they were using, her dear partner has been feeling much stronger since a few days ago.

"It's still thanks to them that I even know how to help you. Do you think I would have known about your predicament if it wasn't for them?"

She was much more stable as well, and she knew she could not come out of the shell that her mother had created to protect her from the small and big dangers of this world.

She was not the same as the usual Ocenoids. Unlike them, she was separated from her mom even before she was summoned through the summoning circle at the academy.

[{ Quinny… you regard them too highly. They aren't gods, you know. It's not because of them that everything happens. }]

"For me, friend, it's them or the grandfather. Perhaps some other people as well, but the three of them are mainly the reason I exist and am with you like this."

She had been by herself, and the only method that her mom and she had to communicate was through the unique oceanic connection that they shared.

The process through which they knew about one another, the origin that they shared, and their connection prevented her from hatching prematurely. She could not receive the nourishments that she needed to complete her form, and yet, since she was an anomaly and strangely a conscious being, she knew everything that was happening around her.

[{ You… there's no point in arguing with you. I just wanted us to think back to our past before we start a new one… but you still ruined that. }]

"Haha. I'm not doing it on purpose, silly. It's just… this is how it is."

After meeting with Quin and being with her for the last few months, she learned more about this world than she might have had by staying at the bottom of that sea.

She grew stronger through their shared connection, and while she could not do anything without hatching, she has had a friend to talk with for a while now.

She also had many other people that she could talk with thanks to the method that Eon showed them, so she had friends in this world even before she was born. And now… the time for her to see this world with her own eyes had arrived.

"Anyway… how long are you going to take? It's past the five minutes you asked for."

[{ Oho~. Look at you~. Can't even wait for me to hatch out, huh~? }]

-Ooooooooooong!

The black dot artifacts attached to the egg fell off and retired to the large artifact that was present under the three trees. Then, the blue egg started glowing with the same shimmering colors that it was reflecting light from.

[{ You already gave me a name, but, I want you to give me my birth name as well. }]

Quin and her familiar… they were not simply master and a familiar. They were more than that, the connection that they shared was much deeper now… one had been together with the other even before it was born, so it was obviously going to be pretty unique.

"I know. Ever since he told me about your traditions, I have had a name in mind."@@novelbin@@

For Quin, the place that Eon and Elle held in her life was much bigger than a family. She was a part of their family now, she knew about who they were, and she was a big sister of the little sister that He loved more than anything else.

She did not really want much in this life anymore… perhaps being with a certain knight… Well, she was content with whatever she had right now.

But, she knew the reality of those carrying unique destinies… there was not going to be any peace in her life. She would have to earn it herself.

[{ Not again… you're too devoted to them, Quinny. }]

But she was ready for that.

-OOOOOOOOONG…!

A new life was being born on the artificial island inside the home of a divine beast and her children. It was a unique life connected with someone who had a unique origin, just like the rest of them around her.

"I'd call it obsession, hehe. But, sure, why not~?"

She knew the life forward was not going to be easy. But, with her friends, with the Two of them, with her family, and with this new friend… she knew it would be fine when she took over the position her grandfather left for her.
