Chapter 299: 216: Gods Wouldn't Be That Petty, Right?

Chapter 299: Chapter 216: Gods Wouldn’t Be That Petty, Right?

“Damn it, you actually dare to attack!”

Players from the Lost Name Guild roared angrily.

The leaders waved their hands.

“Crush them! Those guys from other guilds are here to steal our territory!”

Twenty or thirty players from the Lost Name Guild immediately yelled and rushed over with the short swords in their hands.

“Fire!”

Dongyang commanded his men to shoot, his expression not looking good.

“We fire too!”

Chenxi, Doghead Gold, and others also raised their hands to give the order.

Bang bang bang…!!

The Lost Name Guild players wielding short swords quickly fell during the charge, vanishing in a flash of white light.

Dongyang glanced at Polaris, noticing that his ally had already charged into the fray, and he couldn’t say much at this point. Since it had come to this, he had no choice but to slug it out with the Lost Name players.

Their brazen stand was seriously hampering their mission’s progress.

Dongyang’s nearly a hundred players had already been equipped with “Circus Sets” featuring firearms and mechanical gloves on the train, boasting astonishing combat power.

The Lost Name Guild players charged up with great momentum, only to be overwhelmed in a storm of bullets and flames, suffering complete annihilation.

“What the hell, I didn’t even try hard, and they’re all down,” said Doghead Gold, flamboyantly blowing on the barrel of his firearm.

“Stop wasting time, let’s move on,” Dongyang said.

It seemed that nobody took this conflict to heart since the opposition was just too weak. Those players were nowhere near their level, and the high-level players didn’t even need to get involved personally, bullying them with the strength of Transcendents.

With just these nearly a hundred firearms, they could easily trounce those guys.

In another part of the town, a group of recently wiped Lost Name players reappeared in the courtyard of a rundown house, their Resurrection Point.

These players looked at each other, seeing both anger and wariness in their faces.

“How come those guys have such good equipment! All firearms! Plus gloves that shoot flames!”

“We must tell the Vice Chairman right now! We can’t let them strut around here!”

“Right! Get a message to the Vice Chairman quickly!”

“Don’t worry, they’ll be regretting it soon! Our people are in the town, we’ll blow their equipment to smithereens!”

“Hahahaha…!”

The plague-crazed maniacs laughed wildly as they charged toward the players, dragging their heavy hoes and Iron Hammers.

But they were torn to shreds by a barrage of bullets before they could even get close.

Bang bang bang…!

Dongyang and Chenxi led the team forward, never stopping their advance.@@novelbin@@

Chen Lun followed silently, assessing the players’ combat power and nodding to himself. This group of nearly a hundred was more than enough to destroy a town-level Red Apple Church. If he could avoid getting involved, he would.

He preferred to use the players as his own blades, to weaken the Church’s power for him and to create confusion.

He paid no mind to their conflict with the Lost Name Guild.

He stepped back, blending his figure into the crowd of players.

The crazed patients of the plague district couldn’t stop the advancing team. Dongyang and his party quickly crossed the area, reaching the next district.

They immediately spotted the towering building at the edge of the street.

Like other Red Apple Church structures in different districts, it had tall spires at both ends and angelic and goddess bas-reliefs on the outer walls. A high wall encircled the courtyard, setting it apart from nearby buildings.

Just then, the Great Gate outside the Church courtyard burst open, and several guards charged out. There seemed to be about forty or fifty people at a glance.

These guards were grouped in threes and fives, each group leading a large dog draped in red cloth.

What surprised Dongyang and others was that all these Church guardians were players, and their IDs were tagged with “Lost Name Guild.”

“No wonder they’re so arrogant; turns out the Lost Name Guild has already joined the Red Apple Church. Is that where they’re getting their confidence from…?” Doghead Gold sneered.

Dongyang’s expression turned serious, thinking this was an important discovery.

Every one of the Three Major Guilds and other top-tier guilds was not to be underestimated. It seemed that recently the Lost Name Guild had put most of their efforts into conquering the Red Apple Church… it was unclear how they managed to get so many members to join.

“You guys are really going too far!”

Church guardians wearing wide-brimmed hats and leather coats closed in on them.

Leading them was the Vice Chairman of the Lost Name Guild, Landon, gripping a short sword and leading a rotting hound as he surveyed Dongyang and his crew.

“Dongyang! Chenxi! And the two from the God’s Love Guild! What do you mean by this?” Landon said emotionlessly.

“This area is now Lost Name Guild territory. If you’re here to level up, we could negotiate, maybe even give you a discount… but if you’re looking for trouble, sorry, we’ll just have to kill you back to the Resurrection Point!”

He clearly recognized Dongyang and his party and was aware of their identities as Transcendents. His guild had paid attention to the news when the first batch of Transcendents was revealed during the public test.

Despite not wanting to conflict with them, he had to show some backbone so as not to appear weak to his guild.

“Besides, the only Righteous God Church here has become our backer. I don’t believe they’d dare make a move!”
