Chapter 300: Chapter 216: Gods Wouldn’t Be That Petty, Right?_2
Landon thought to himself.
“As one of the Seven Righteous God Churches, these guys wouldn’t have the guts to confront such a major power… Guild players, they’re all about profits first.”
Dongyang, Chenxi, Doghead Gold, and the others exchanged glances, their faces betraying a mix of bemusement and amusement.
Their purpose for coming here was to destroy the Red Apple Church. With the other side walking right into their gunsights, they couldn’t be blamed for what was about to happen.
“Why aren’t you speaking? Huh?”
Landon’s brows furrowed tightly.
At this moment, Dongyang looked at him and sighed.
“Landon, it’s just your bad luck.”
“What do you mean?! You…”
Landon suddenly felt a surge of unease. He was about to ask something more when he saw nearly a hundred people opposite them raise their horn-shaped firearms, aiming straight at them.
“Kill! Kill them all!!”
Landon’s expression changed drastically as he bellowed.
Bang bang bang bang…!
A barrage of gunfire rang out first, covering the Lost Name members equipped with Church Guardian gear. Fortunately for them, their higher levels and longer health bars, along with their protective armor, saved them from being wiped out in the first volley.
Amid Landon’s furious roars, they bloodily initiated their charge.
Brandishing short swords, they rushed toward the hundred or so people while releasing the leashes in their hands along the way. A dozen rotten hounds barked ferociously, saliva dripping as they dashed ahead to reach Dongyang and the others first.
While the other players were still reloading, a glimmer of hope sparked in Landon’s eyes.
Perhaps the hounds could scatter the enemy’s formation and plunge them into chaos. Then his own side could storm in and slay the lot!
But the next second, his expression froze completely.
Howl—!
It was the cry of a hound, as Dongyang stepped forward and, with a single punch, crushed its head, splattering blood and brain matter.
The headless rotten hound writhed at Dongyang’s feet. The latter then raised his fist, glowing with intense heat, and revealed a cold smirk to Landon.
Howl howl…!!
One after another, the hounds were killed. Chenxi, Doghead Gold, and Polaris all demonstrated the strength of Transcendents, effortlessly dispatching these large dogs.
“Those were the ‘pets’ I exchanged for painstakingly accumulated Church contribution points, and they were just instantly killed in their hands?!”
Landon’s heart was bleeding.
Bang bang bang bang…!
Another round of gunfire erupted, resembling the thunderous crackle of a chain of fireworks, mixed with the roar of exploding flames. The forty or fifty members of the Lost Name Guild eventually fell during their charge and eventually vanished into white light.
Landon’s last sight was of that independent player named Polaris.
With an impassive look, Polaris leaped toward him, his right hand transforming into the gaping maw of a crocodile, and bit off Landon’s entire head!
[You have died!]
“Damn it! These damned bastards!”
Landon respawned in the Church’s backyard and cursed loudly.
Looking around, the faces of his companions were filled with fury. The Lost Name Guild had long established its power in this town, where other players usually had to watch their faces. It was hard to believe that their territory had been attacked.
“Vice Guild Leader! Let’s fight our way out again! This is our Resurrection Point, what do we have to fear from them?!”
One of his players shouted angrily.
Landon’s face went through various changes before he decisively said:
“Let’s make a strategic retreat for now. What’s the harm in letting them have this place for a while? We’ll settle the score with them later!”
With that, he opened the back door and slipped out.@@novelbin@@
Seeing this, the other Lost Name Guild players had no choice but to follow the Vice Guild Leader and retreat.
As they fled, Landon was both gloomy and puzzled. How could Dongyang and his group be so strong?! His own side had been operating in the Red Apple Church for quite some time, accumulating strength, yet they couldn’t last three rounds against them.
“And how dare they! Aren’t they afraid of offending the Red Apple Church?!”
Landon was unwilling to accept this, as it was a loss of both face and substance.
“Vice Guild Leader, where do we go now?”
The same Lost Name underling asked.
“To Soybean Town! We have brothers there, and we’ll stay for a while before figuring out how to take revenge!”

“You blasphemers! You all deserve to face the judgment of Lady Rose!”
Two hysterical Church monks charged forward with short swords.
Bang bang!
Two gunshots rang out, and they fell lifelessly into pools of their own blood.
“Were these the only Lost Name players stationed here? The original clergy of the Church amount to just these two small fries?”
Doghead Gold and Forget No Taboo put away their guns with puzzled expressions on their faces.
Dongyang shook his head, indicating he didn’t know either.
Before long, the players responsible for looting returned, carrying several large chests containing some coins, Guardian short swords, and leather armor amongst other equipment.
Dongyang placed the chest before Chen Lun and respectfully said:
“Mr. Jack, this is the Church’s property, please take a look.”
“Take it and share it among yourselves,”
Chen Lun said casually, making a dismissing gesture, appearing indifferent.
In reality, as they had clashed with the Lost Name Guild, he had already secretly ordered small animals to scavenge around the Church.
In fact, there wasn’t anything particularly important, a small box of mysterious substance that was somewhat valuable had already been tucked into his Blood Poem Ring. He couldn’t care less about these trivial items.
“Thank you for your generosity, Mr. Jack.”
Dongyang was thrilled, as the mission was simply exhilarating.
With a wave of his hand, apart from a few high-level players at his side, the rest of the ordinary players each got their share of the spoils, their faces beaming with joy.
What do you think?
