Chapter 307: Chapter 219: Have We Defeated the Priest?! (Vote for us monthly!)

“Damn serpents! Die, all of you!!”

Priest O’Connell roared as he charged forward.

He had already torn apart the five white snakes entangling him, and his rage, like the flames burning on his body, showed no signs of extinguishing.

A relatively diminutive silhouette suddenly flashed in front of him, trailing a long red smoke. During a brief pause, a ferocious crocodile’s head and blood-red eyes were revealed.

“Die!!”

Polaris’s voice, now deep and low, bellowed.

A punch was thrown.

Priest O’Connell, neither dodging nor evading, lifted his black claw and swatted casually. Just like he had previously swatted at flies, he aimed to crush this insignificant creature to death.

But.

Bang!!

Polaris was flung away by a tremendous force. Spinning several times in midair, he landed with a thud on both feet and was dragged several meters by the momentum.

Surprise flickered in the Priest’s eyes. His strike had not killed his opponent, and even his own advance had been halted by the punch, causing him to stagger backwards uncontrollably.

“Come again!”

Polaris pushed off the ground, rushing forward with incredible speed.

Feeling the pain all over his body, he knew that even with the strength given by Mr. Jack, he still couldn’t withstand a frontal clash with the Ghoul the Priest had become. So this time, he planned to change his strategy and use his agility to weave in and attack.

He leaped to the side of the Priest’s broad, pillar-like legs and threw another punch.

Boom!!

The Priest howled in pain, his body stumbling.

“Roar!”

His massive black claws swept down the very next second but was deftly avoided by Polaris. As the ground trembled from the impact, Polaris jumped to the other side of the Priest and continued punching.

Bang!!

Leap and dodge, punch!

Boom!!

Dodge and spring, punch!

Thud!!

A series of attacks came so rapidly, each blow inflicted pain on the Priest.@@novelbin@@

Polaris, using the agility of his gazelle-like hooves, danced around the Priest’s massive body, while the Priest, due to his own size, was constrained in movement and vision, getting hit repeatedly.

Bang, bang, bang…!

The sound of rapid, heavy hits echoed all around, leaving observers like Dongyang and even Landon, who hid at a distance, utterly dumbfounded.

A player barely past level twenty, a Transcendent who had just entered Sequence Nine, was actually dominating a Mid-Sequence Priest in battle?! Who would believe this if told?!

“Mr. Jack’s portrait… it’s too awesome! Polaris now looks damn like a god of war!”

Doghead Gold panted heavily, roaring in excitement.

His blood boiled with the excitement, the potion igniting his desire to fight.

“Why won’t Mr. Jack’s apparition point at me too? I want to fight! To engage in battle!”

He pounded his chest with all four arms, creating a booming sound.

The minotaurs beside him were eager to jump into the fray as well.

Just then.

Roar—!!

The Priest had been taking hits and missing his counters, his Wrath reaching a boiling point.

With a long howl, he leaped and then crashed down with force.

Rumble!!

The ground trembled, rocks flew, and dust billowed.

Polaris took a quick step back, trailing a long streak of blood, and narrowly evaded the attack, but his Crocodile Armor showed signs of cracking and damage.

“You’re doing great, Polaris!”

Su Keying cheered him on with a fist pump.

“Come on!”

Dongyang and the others focused all their attention on him, their eyes filled with hope.

Polaris’s face, however, was void of any smile and grew even more serious.

Although the battle seemed to favor him, his fists were merely painful to the Priest without inflicting real damage. Killing the Priest was proving to be an extremely difficult task, far from as simple as the bystanders thought.

The Priest was a Transcendent of the Flesh Faction. After reaching Mid Sequence, the strength of his body was terrifying. The long health bar and strong recovery abilities were making Polaris somewhat despair.

“—Mr. Jack’s strength has a time limit! If I don’t take advantage of this time to deal with the Priest, there will be no more chances later!”

Polaris spoke in the team channel.

Dongyang and others were slightly taken aback, realizing from Polaris’s tone that the situation might not be as good as they imagined.

“—But we can’t help much either, going there will get us killed instantly!”

Dongyang said.

“—Yeah! Doghead Gold and Forget No Taboo, even after turning into Minotaurs, can’t withstand two slaps… They just got beaten to the ground eating dirt a moment ago.”

Su Keying responded.

“—Bullshit!”

Doghead Gold panted angrily, sounding very annoyed.

After a few seconds of silence, Polaris sent another brief message:

“—You don’t have to charge in for melee. In a minute, when I draw the Priest’s aggro, take the chance to throw Incendiary Bombs from afar! The blue ink bottles that Mr. Jack has!”

He closed the chat window and stopped looking at the responses, dodging sharply to the side.

For the Priest’s monster form had once again lunged at him.

He seemed to have gone mad, his claws slashing wildly left and right, with swooshing sounds filling the air as it trembled and screamed!

“Die die die!!”

Rumble! Rumble…!

Polaris felt his strength beginning to wane and knew he couldn’t delay any longer.

“If the opportunity won’t come, then I’ll have to create one… Mr. Jack granted me the trait called ‘Hell Resistance,’ which is the only chance I have to defeat the Priest.”

With this thought, he shifted his previous evasive directions, not retreating but advancing, leaping forward.

Boom!!

With a heavy vertical swipe from the Priest, Polaris felt an excruciating burn at his back, his chest tightened, nearly coughing out blood. The tough Crocodile Armor cracked under the strike, oozing fresh blood.

Polaris, taking advantage of the situation, pressed himself against the Priest’s abdomen and pulled out a deep blue ink bottle, activating the switch.
