Keep Flirting and Don't Get Killed

Vol. 1 - Chapter 3 - False Accident

"What's going on? Is it 'lack of adaptability'? This kid's aptitude shouldn't be able to trigger this, right?"

The 'good god' muttered to himself in a voice that Jiang Ran could hear, waving his fingers as if he wanted to check something.

However, the 'good god' was too slow to act. The light ball that wrapped Jiang Ran explained the previous abnormal prompt after the alarm sound. This time, it said...

"Warning, adaptability exceeds the maximum threshold. 'Pseudo-Super Dimensional Eye' automatically upgrades to match, and now begins the process of granting the 'Super Dimensional Eye'..."

"What?!"

The 'good god' was shocked. The course of events was completely opposite to what 'he' had said! Before he could react, an invisible force simply gouged his right eye out of its socket and then forced the golden gem-like eyeball into Jiang Ran's eye socket.

Jiang Ran's original right eye was squeezed out by the god's eye, and the severe pain pierced into his bone marrow, and the boy who had always been expressionless couldn't help but scream out!

"Ahhhhh!!!"

In the chaos, only the light ball continued to announce the progress of the situation without any concern.

"The 'Super-Dimensional Eye' has been inserted, and the original curse 'Thorns of the Heartless' has automatically been upgraded to 'Purgatory of the Heartless'. Now it is time to re-match the difficulty value of the target parallel world..."

In just a few seconds, the name of the new parallel world has been displayed on the space-time tunnel:

'Parallel World No. 77: Prison Star'

'Difficulty: Impossible Level'

"Preparation for teleportation is ready. Teleportation begins in five seconds. Five, four, three..."

"Wait, wait a minute..."

The 'good god', who had recovered from the pain of losing his right eye, tried to stop the process of teleportation, but before he could do anything, Jiang Ran had already disappeared at the entrance of the space-time tunnel with the light ball.

Until the end, Jiang Ran was unable to hear what the humanoid luminous being who claimed to be a god had to say to him. As for his situation, it was incredible that the pain had disappeared. He didn't even feel any foreign body sensation in his right eye, and his vision returned to normal.

In this unfamiliar passage, a dark spiral surrounded him, and he was moving forward rapidly thanks to the light ball wrapped around him. After an unknown amount of time, a dazzling light spot appeared in the distance. It should be the exit of the passage.

…

Back, in the grayish-white mysterious space, after confirming that Jiang Ran had been teleported away, the 'good god' slowly lowered his hand from his right eye.

His panicked look from a few seconds ago had now disappeared without a trace.

Then, the 'good god''s body began to glow, and it split from a whole into six similar but different individuals, each one looking like a human-shaped luminous being.

"What a bad joke. In the end, we had to put on such a clumsy show. I wonder if that kid realized we were intentionally talking to ourselves so he could hear."

As one of the human-shaped luminous beings began to complain, the other ones joined in the conversation.

"Oh, he definitely didn't see it, you're worrying too much."

"Yes, and if we didn't do this, it would have been difficult for us to insert Seven into this 'dead-in-waiting' person's body."

"That's right, efficiency is very important. If this Jiang Ran turns out to be a useless dying person, it's better to die quickly to free up the quota."

"Pfft, so heartless. I think Jiang Ran, who I drew this time, is not bad, can we wait and see?"

"Who knows? We have encountered so many guys who looked promising but had no substance."

"But say, the cost of inserting Seven is too high, isn't it? In the end, the re-match was the 'No. 77 Prison Star', which has the difficulty level 'Impossible'! Going there basically means giving your life to the "evil god camp" for nothing, right?"

"This was indeed a miscalculation. Originally, I wanted to quietly place Seven in. I didn't expect that this kid's adaptability would be so high. In that rush, it was the best I could do."

"There is no need to waste your breath. He is just a chess piece. Whether he dies or is dealt with by Seven, there are still many other candidates."

"That's right. If you have time to chat, you might as well recruit more truck drivers to help us 'select' more souls. In addition, the companies that operate can be more ruthless. The more employees who ‘die suddenly’, the better."

At this point, the humanoid luminous beings all burst into laughter, but they did not know that the evil consequences that would bury them had already been sown in their laughter.

…

When Jiang Ran came to his senses, he was already standing in a forest. There was only one sun in the sky, and it was probably morning. There were only trees and no people in the visible range.

The first thing Jiang Ran did was to confirm that the environment was safe, and the second thing was to check the species of nearby vegetation. He found that the plants were basically species he knew, with only a few that didn't look like ‘plants on Earth’.

So that's what the so-called parallel world means.

Jiang Ran had learned about the concept of parallel worlds before. He thought that the world he was teleported to should be another dimension of Earth, but because of the butterfly effect in ancient times, it developed differently from his own world. Therefore, it was not surprising that he saw things similar to or exactly the same as his original world here.

After confirming these, Jiang Ran began to check his physical condition. His current body was basically the same as before his sudden death at home, and he was still wearing his high school uniform. Fortunately, fatigue, hunger, and the lesions that caused the sudden death were not brought with him. He estimated that the so-called god had already tampered with his body.

Finally, Jiang Ran unfolded the parchment scroll to confirm his mission. The words written on the parchment were not from Earth, but for some reason, Jiang Ran could understand them. The specific tasks were as follows:

=====

Task 1: Kill the "One and Only Demon God Whose Name Cannot Be Spoken";

Task 2: Make the "One and Only Demon God Whose Name Cannot Be Spoken" dissolve the Hell Abyss Empire, or surrender to the Alliance of Light in a complete compromise;

(Note: If the second task is completed, the first task is considered completed regardless of whether it was completed or not.)

Task 3: Make the "One and Only Demon God Whose Name Cannot Be Spoken" sincerely confess to you and agree to return to the original world with you (i.e. the Earth World, the same hereinafter);

(Note: If the third task is completed, the first and second tasks are considered completed regardless of whether they were completed or not.)

Task completion rewards:

Difficulty level 1: Complete one task, and you will be rewarded with a return to the original world and a second life;

Difficulty level 2: Complete two tasks, and you can choose an additional skill to bring back to the original world;

Difficulty level 3: Complete three tasks, and you can bring all the skills you have learned and the equipment that has been engraved within the soul back to the original world.

=====

After reading the task content, Jiang Ran was about to start analyzing when his right eye suddenly hurt and his vision blurred. After a few seconds, everything returned to normal, and then a text accompanied by a voice prompt actually floated up on the parchment.

"Jiang Ran, now please choose the difficulty level you want to complete."

"Please note that the difficulty level cannot be changed once it is selected."

"You have 10 seconds to choose. If you do not choose, it will default to the highest difficulty level."
