“Stop it, stop it!”

The actors hesitated and looked back at the director’s nervous shout. The staff also looked at the director, but the director was looking at only one person.

“Chase, what’s wrong? Why can’t you concentrate today?”

Following those words, everyone’s eyes turned to Chase this time. Chase tried to brush his neatly-groomed hair but stopped. His hand, frozen in midair, awkwardly froze and fell down. The director saw that and swore again.

“Damn it! 30 minutes of rest!”

The director turned around in anger and shouted, “I’m going to go crazy!” He said it as if he was talking to himself, but it was clear who he was talking to. However, Chase just turned his head with a blank expression.

After returning to filming, Chase’s condition was a mess. He often made mistakes and lost his temper. The director scolded and tried to persuade him, but nothing changed. In the end, he was given two days off, but the situation only got worse.

“I can’t put it off any longer.”

The director lamented, racking his brain. Filming had to go ahead, but Chase’s attitude was the same. He seemed to be floating, unable to focus, and would often forget his lines or just stand there blankly.

After a short break, the director resumed filming. But this time, it was even worse. He kept giving out the magazine he was supposed to hand Naomi, and sighs poured out here and there.

“This won’t work. Let’s stop here for today. … … Why on earth are you doing this? Where are you putting your mind?”

In the end, the director announced the end of filming and decided to re-film the episode he had planned to film today the next day. This had been happening for several days already. It was all Chase’s fault, but he didn’t apologize or feel embarrassed. The director just shook his head in frustration as he watched him head towards the trailer as if it were a given.

He sighed and thought about it, but there was no way he could come up with a solution. In the end, the director left the room with a curse.

Laura continued to say something next to him. However, Chase still couldn’t hear anything. His head was filled with thoughts about Josh. Laura opened her mouth as if it was a given when Chase looked around.

“I heard Josh is working from the night. He’s probably resting in his dorm. Should I ask him to come?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Chase immediately turned around and headed towards the temporary building where the security guards were staying. Laura sighed and followed him. This was becoming a habit. Behind Chase, Laura, Isaac, Seth, and the manager walked in a line.

When they finally arrived at Josh’s makeshift lodging, Chase took a deep breath. He paused for a moment and then started walking again, faster than before.

However, to his disappointment, Josh’s lodging was empty. Soon, Chase frowned and turned around to go out, and the crowd followed him again. This was also a common sight.

“Even if Josh lied about being a beta, isn’t he watching too closely?”

Seth glanced at Isaac, who was grumbling in a hushed voice, and muttered to himself.

“How can you live in this world when you’re so dull… … .”

“Huh? What did you say?”

Seth shook his head at Isaac, who asked brightly.

“No, nothing.”

Laura suddenly turned around and asked Seth.

“Can I call Josh? Where is he right now?”
