Chapter 151: Nothing can stop her
"We are?" Astralious looked weirdly. "Don't you see the people there? Even amongst the youngsters, all of them are stronger than you. And that's not even counting the Dean, and especially the man who would want nothing more than to devour you."
"That's right." Elias nodded. "We are going to enter, despite their presence."
"And how are you going to do that when the entrance is blocked by them?" Astralious was certain that Elias was messing with him. There was no possibility for them to secretly enter that place, even if they wanted to.
"The answer is simpler than you think." Elias closed his eyes, and entered the shadow of the stone to hide himself.
As long as he was inside the shadow, he couldn't be detected by anyone, including Freya unless that shadow moved.
"It's a good place to hide, but I don't understand how it will help us enter the tomb?" Astralious was just as confused as before.
Nothing that Elias had done, should have helped him enter the tomb, unless he was missing something really significant.
He wanted to see just what Elias was planning. Was there some secret weapon that this boy had kept hidden from him, which could help him? He glared at the boy, observing his every movement to see just what he was trying.
"Hmm? That...?" His jaws almost dropped when he saw Elias bring something out of his storage. He thought that it was going to be something that was going to help Elias, like some invincible weapon he made using his barrier.
"...a bed?" His voice grew uneven when he saw what was brought out. Elias took off his shoes and lay on the comfortable bed, and closed his eyes.
"Can you wake me up in around three hours?"
"Do you think I am some alarm clock?"
"Aren't you?" Elias to his side and grew more comfortable, leaving Astralious to ponder about Elias's plan.
Just what was this boy planning? How was sleeping here going to help him?
"Sigh, whatever. Let's see what you're planning." He sat on the edge of the bed, and started waiting for three hours to pass.
....
Outside the shadow realm, the students had started entering the Tomb, safely keeping the escape talismans in their storage rings.
Within half an hour, almost all of the students had entered the tomb. Only those who were not selected by the Professors, and had arrived here because of commotion, were left behind.
The Professors told them to leave as well, informing them that this place was restricted from this point onwards.
Within ten minutes, the place was completely cleared from any other presence except the Professors and the two who held an even higher position.
Another thirty minutes passed when Jeskirin glanced back, and saw a twelve year old girl arrive. "There she is."
"What is your daughter doing here?" Freya watched the little girl, who walked with her head held down.
"You don't want to keep an opportunity like this to yourself, do you? Of course I thought my daughter should enter as well, and have an attempt. I already gave your students an hour of head start after all."
"Who do you think you are to give us a head start? This is the Dimensional Academy, but Chronos. Everything that's here, belongs to us. Did you think I would give you this opportunity?"
"Are you scared that my little daughter can perform better than your fourth year students? That's quite embarrassing for you if they are truly weak."
"Even if I don't think that your daughter can inherit the flames, why should I allow her when I don't have to?" Freya didn't fall for the trap, even though she was a little upset that the Academy was being insulted, that their best under the age of eighteen couldn't even match a twelve year old girl.
"Then how about we have a bet? Since you don't think my daughter can inherit those flames, I'm certain you shouldn't have a problem with this bet, right?"
Freya maintained his silence, but she did look interested. She had seen the girl's skills, but even that shouldn't have been enough to cover the lead of the senior students of the academy.
She was strong, but could she really be stronger than them? She didn't think so. And so what if she managed to reach the flames?
She was confident that the previous dean would have taken precautions that those from outside the academy couldn't inherit the flames.
The man brought out an envelope that had a very unique golden seal imprinted on it, which sealed it.
"Is that...?" Even Freya couldn't control her heart from beating faster when she saw the envelope.
"If my daughter can't inherit those flames, then I will lose the bet. I will give this to the person from the Academy who inherits the flames."
"And what if you win?" Freya asked, trying to calm herself at the sight of the envelope. "What do you want?"
"If I win, I don't want anything. Those flames are enough of a compensation for me. If my daughter gets those flames, you won't make it an issue and it will be kept a secret from your side. How about it?"
Freya was confident that the girl had no chance of succeeding, but still she felt a little hesitant, seeing the confidence of Jeskirin.
Still, the allure of that envelope was something that she couldn't ignore. It was something that even she couldn't get, despite all her influence.
"You have a deal." After a long period of silence, and delaying confirmation for another ten minutes to give her students more lead, she finally nodded.
Jeskirin knew why she had delayed so much, but he didn't expose her. He simply smiled, and told her daughter to enter.
"Are you not going to give her an escape talisman?" Freya asked, watching the girl pass through the barrier without taking a talisman like her students.
"She will not be needing it. You should worry more about your students, because in that tomb, there will be nothing that can stop my daughter." Jeskirin watched his daughter disappear inside the tomb with the fluctuations of the barrier.
.....
"To think that he can sleep so peacefully even at a time point. I wonder if we can truly enter that tomb..." Astralious glanced at Elias, who was sleeping ever so peacefully.
What do you think?
