Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

Chapter 218: Realm of Necromancer

"What a strange object," Elias mumbled to himself, turning the smooth, obsidian-like object over in his hand.

It felt strangely warm to the touch, yet there was no information about it. It was called a 'Paperweight' by Elten, but Elias was certain that it was more than that.

Who wanted this to be given to him? That was the question which he didn't quite understand. For now, he kept the item back in his inventory and shifted his attention back to Lycorice after entering the merger storm.

Lycorice still hadn't come to her senses, but her body had clearly changed beyond recognition. She had already entered the realm of a High Tier Constellation, but she was far from completion.

Her aura had grown stronger, and there were also many physical changes around her. She had grown taller, and her skin became even fairer like the purest form of snow.

Her hair had also grown longer, and now came down to her ankles. Each of her hair threads was so sharp that it could be used as a blade to cut through a metal.

Lycorice looked completely mesmerising, even to someone like Elias who often paid no attention to such things.

There was also another side to her, that went beyond her charm. It was the incredible amount of bloodlust and hostility that she had absorbed from the surroundings.

It was this hostility and chaos of earth that had given birth to her. Before she could completely absorb it in the past, she was captured and taken away by Dreke.

Now that she was back in this world, she was once again being accepted as an existence that was essential for this world.

She was being accepted by the forces of this world with open arms, and she was being granted every last bit of blessing that she could get from this world.

"There's still so much time left."

Every passing second felt like an eternity for Elias, who could see precisely how much time was left for the completion of the merger. The merger was close to completion, but there were still hours left.

"Shouldn't you be rushing to the other side? They are waiting for Kaelen to wake up." Astralious appeared behind Elias, and reminded him to bring him out of his daze.

"I still need to complete some preparation before that," Elias said, and sat on the ground. "I can't be at two places at the same time, right?"

"Shouldn't you have thought about this problem before? It's too late at this point."

"Who said that I didn't think about this problem before?" Elias brought out a corpse that he had collected in the ancient tomb of the Ice Phoenix Flames.

The corpse had a similar physique to him, but the face was different to some extent. Beside that, the corpse was in a completely perfect state with no wound to be seen anywhere.

It was a corpse of a person who was granted instant death in the tomb, which left him as a perfect specimen.

"What are you going to do with this?" Astralious asked with a frown. Elias wasn't a Necromancer, so he couldn't bring the corpse back to life. There was no point in him dabbling with the corpses of other students.

"I am going to create someone who can temporarily take my place." Elias answered and started changing the clothes of the corpse with his clothes.

At the same time, he wore the clothes of Kaelen.

"Don't forget the earring," Astralious chimed in when Elias finished dressing up.

"I haven't forgotten." Elias placed an earring on his ear, and changed his facial structure into that of Kaelen's.

He also used the same skill to change the bone structure of the corpse before him, making the corpse look identical to him.

"I still don't understand. How are you going to do something like this? Even if you make the corpse look identical to you, it's useless if it can't move and walk like you. It's just an empty shell at this point."

"Isn't the answer simple?" Elias answered. "We just have to fill this empty shell. I might not be a Necromancer, but I do have something that can help me with that."

He was moulding the body into a perfect specimen, like a craftsman. But without a soul, it was truly a useless thing. That's why he had already arranged for a soul to possess the body.

Initially, he thought about sending Astralious. The only problem was that Astralious wasn't perfectly compatible with it. As a Constellation, he didn't know many things about being a human.

Elias wanted to grant Astralious a human body, but not the body that needed to take his place temporarily.

Another problem with Astralious was that Lycorice didn't know him. If Astralious pretended to be him, Lycorice was going to see through it with ease because they didn't have a soul bonding.

To prevent any unnecessary misunderstandings, he indeed had to be at both places at the same time. That's why, he had once again planned to do something foolish.

He had a class skill that had evolved into something greater. His Extraction had evolved into Precise Extraction, which was what he planned to use.

The thing that he planned to extract were not his unusual abilities. Instead, the thing that he truly planned to precisely extract, was a fragment of his own soul, which meant that he could indeed be at both places at the same time.

Just to be safe that his fragmented soul didn't think of itself as the main body, he only planned to use a small fragment that could be extracted back and merged with him, if needed.

He didn't tell Astralious his plans because he didn't want to be told that he was being foolish, especially when it came to matters involving meddling with souls.

Normally, even Necromancers were afraid of messing with their own souls, and here was a bit who was planning something like this without a single care in the world?
