Legendary Battle Pet

Chapter 34 Cure 2

He murmured a few words to the Glacier Arctic Bear. The Glacier Arctic Bear understood that the young man before it was about to treat its ailment.

Its gaze softened considerably as it looked at Ethen Cole. Ethen Cole explained his treatment plan to Rashid Ahmad.

He did not conceal anything from the Glacier Arctic Bear. Given the intelligence of the Glacier Arctic Bear, it could fully comprehend Ethen Cole's intentions.

"I understand, Ethen Cole. Please proceed!"

After their discussion, Rashid Ahmad stepped aside, allowing Ethen Cole to commence the treatment of the Glacier Arctic Bear.

The first step of the treatment was a thorough physical examination. Immediately, Ethen Cole placed his palm gently on the Glacier Arctic Bear's forehead.

The forehead is a sacred area for the beast king; usually, a bear's head should not be touched.

However, at this moment, the Glacier Arctic Bear opened its heart and allowed Ethen Cole to proceed freely.

Ethen Cole carefully examined the main meridians on the back of the Glacier Arctic bear according to the methods taught in "How to cure all battle pet 99 Questions ."

After the examination, Ethen Cole discovered that the damage to the main meridians on the Glacier Arctic bear's back was caused by a type of parasite.

This parasite, called "Bloodthief Worm," typically resides in amphibious magical beasts. Ethen Cole suspected that the creature that initially injured the Glacier Arctic Bear was an amphibious magical beast.

After the amphibious beast wounded the Glacier Arctic Bear, a pulse stealing worm likely entered through the wound into the main meridian on the bear's back.

This invasion caused the main meridian to deteriorate, leading to the Glacier Arctic Bear losing its original strength. To heal the main meridian on the bear's back, the pulse stealing worm must be removed.

"I see!" Ethen Cole nodded, withdrawing his hand from the Glacier Arctic Bear's forehead.

"Ethen Cole, how is it?" Rashid Ahmad asked quietly.

Ethen Cole turned to Rashid Ahmad, "Was the Glacier Arctic Bear injured by an amphibious magical beast back then?"

Hearing this, Rashid Ahmad was taken aback.

"Yes, it was the 'Crazy Turtle' that injured it back then!"

Upon receiving Rashid Ahmad's response, Ethen Cole nodded.

"Your battle pet is infected with a type of parasite. It is this parasite that has caused the damage to its main meridian on the back. To treat it, you simply need to remove this parasite."

Ethen Cole's words left Rashid Ahmad somewhat stunned. He had consulted many renowned doctors, yet none had mentioned the possibility of a parasitic infection.

At this moment, Ethen Cole's sudden suggestion caught him off guard. However, upon further reflection, it indeed seemed plausible.

"How should it be treated?" Rashid Ahmad asked.

"I'll prepare a prescription for you. You can get the medicine according to my formula right away. Once the medicine is prepared, feed it to the Glacier Artic bear."

"Alright." Hearing this, Rashid Ahmad immediately patted his chest in assurance.

Ethen Cole provided Rashid Ahmad with a prescription. Since the university's medical office sold medicinal herbs, Rashid Ahmad promptly took the prescription to procure the necessary ingredients.

Meanwhile, Ethen Cole stayed in the office, accompanying the Glacier Arctic Bear. Rashid Ahmad moved quickly and soon returned with a large bag of medicine.

"Ethen Cole, could you check if everything is correct?"

"Everything is correct."

Ethen Cole actually didn't understand medicine; he was simply reciting verbatim from the book "How to cure all battle pets 99 Questions ."

After carefully examining the types and quantities of the herbs, Ethen Cole began grinding them into powder. With Rashid Ahmad's assistance, the large bag of herbs was quickly transformed into a fine powder.

Whoosh.

Once mixed with hot water, a strong aroma of herbs filled the entire office.

"Make sure it drinks all of this," Ethen Cole instructed.

"Alright."

Rashid Ahmad immediately picked up the wooden bucket filled with the herbal concoction and began feeding it to his battle pet.

Due to the Glacier Arctic Bear's large size, the dosage had to be adjusted accordingly, far beyond what a human would require.

The Glacier Arctic Bear drank the medicine by the bucketful.

Gulp, gulp.

Understanding that Ethen Cole was treating its illness, the Glacier Arctic Bear obediently drank most of the bucket's contents, leaving not a drop behind, despite the unpleasant taste.

The medicinal concoction prepared by Ethen Cole contained an intense cold energy. The pulse stealing worm favored warm environments and feared the cold.

Once the medicine entered its system, the potent effects quickly spread within the Glacier Arctic Bear.

The cold energy invaded all its meridians. This cold energy also surged unimpeded into the main meridian on the bear's back.

Pain! Excruciating pain!

The invasion of the cold energy naturally provoked a counterattack from the pulse stealing worm. The two forces engaged in an intense battle within the Glacier Arctic Bear's body.

"Roar!"

The Glacier Arctic Bear writhed in agony on the ground, even accidentally knocking over a bookshelf. Books scattered across the floor, creating a chaotic mess.

"Hold on!" Ethen Cole commanded sternly.

Seeing this, Rashid Ahmad quickly wrapped his arms around the neck of the Glacier Arctic Bear. Feeling the affection from its owner, the bear calmed down a bit.

It endured the pain, its body trembling uncontrollably. Watching the Glacier Arctic Bear suffer so much, Rashid Ahmad was on the verge of tears with heartache. If possible, he would willingly bear the pain in place of the Glacier Arctic Bear.

"Hang in there! Just five more minutes, and it should be over," Ethen Cole said, glancing at his watch.

The agony made every minute and second feel unbearably long. These five minutes seemed to stretch into an eternity for both the Glacier Arctic Bear and Rashid Ahmad.

"Time's up!" Ethen Cole announced, checking his watch.

He estimated that the pulse stealing worm should be dead by now. At that moment, the Glacier Arctic Bear's pain abruptly vanished.

The next instant, the Glacier Arctic Bear opened its mouth wide and spat out a mouthful of black blood.
