Chapter 40 Roommate 2
His sharp features, eyes as deep as the sea, and a slight smile at the corner of his mouth left a strong impression on Ethen Cole.
Handsome was the only word Ethen Cole could use to describe this golden haired youth. Ethen Cole was convinced that this was the most handsome man he had ever seen in his life.
The golden haired young man also noticed Ethen Cole entering the dormitory with Hakimi Nil and smiled slightly.
"Little Hakimi , this student looks unfamiliar. Aren't you going to introduce him to me?"
Upon hearing him, Hakimi Nil glanced at Ethen Cole and said to the golden haired young man, "His name is Ethen Cole, and he's also our roommate."
"Ethen Cole, this handsome guy is..."
Just as Hakimi Nil was about to introduce the golden haired youth to Ethen Cole, the latter waved his hand, interrupting Hakimi Nil.
Coming from a distinguished background, he preferred to introduce himself to his new roommate personally.
"Hello, Ethen Cole. Don't listen to Hakimi Nil's nonsense. Actually, I'm the ugliest in my family. My name is Fattah Amin, and I'm a local here at the Morning Light Base."
As he spoke, Fattah Amin extended his hand in a gentlemanly manner. Seeing this, Ethen Cole quickly stepped forward to shake hands with Fattah Amin.
Fattah Amin's hand, well cared for, was very fair and smooth. In contrast, Ethen Cole's hands were quite different. Having endured a hard life from a young age, his skin was somewhat rough, with a few calluses on his palms.
Fattah Amin hailed from a wealthy merchant family at the Morning Light Base, raised in comfort and privilege.
However, he was not a spoiled and uneducated second generation rich kid; instead, he excelled academically and was astute and perceptive.
During their brief handshake, Fattah Amin assessed Ethen Cole's social status and background based on the condition of his skin.
By also considering Ethen Cole's attire and demeanor, he had a rough idea about him. Nonetheless, with his excellent upbringing, Fattah Amin naturally didn't reveal any of his thoughts.
In fact, he chose to attend university rather than directly inherit the family business to meet and connect with talented classmates.
Regardless of Ethen Cole's background or economic situation, being admitted to Morning Light Academy meant he was no ordinary talent.
For that reason alone, Fattah Amin would never underestimate Ethen Cole. While the two exchanged polite greetings, Hakimi Nil had already settled himself on the sofa, engrossed in his phone.
If Fattah Amin was the epitome of a high status, wealthy, and handsome individual, Hakimi Nil was much more laid back.
He was free from many of the upper class social etiquettes and constraints, and he wasn't overly driven by personal gain, preferring instead to do things in the most comfortable way.
Seeing Hakimi Nil's laid back demeanor, Fattah Amin, who had already spent a day with him, smiled wryly.
He took the initiative to act as a guide for Ethen Cole, introducing him to all the details of the dormitory, including utilities, internet, bathroom facilities, and more.
Ethen Cole also noticed that Fattah Amin came from an extraordinary background. For such an approachable and charming individual, Ethen Cole immediately felt a strong sense of goodwill.
After showing Ethen Cole around the dormitory, Fattah Amin sat down at a small table and started chatting with him.
His conversation and demeanor were greatly appreciated by Ethen Cole.
At the same time, Ethen Cole caught a glimpse of the qualities of an excellent young person from the upper echelons of society and inadvertently learned a lot.
Before they knew it, it was already 8 PM.
"I wonder who our other roommate is?" Hakimi Nil mumbled while still absorbed in his phone.
"Indeed, it's already 8 PM, and it seems he might not make it today," Fattah Amin said after checking his watch.
"Let's not wait for him and go grab some dinner first."
"Sounds good!" Hakimi Nil jumped up from the sofa at the mention of food, eager to agree.
So, the three of them locked the dormitory door and headed downstairs together.
"Ethen Cole, what would you like to eat?" Fattah Amin asked.
Fattah Amin asked.
"Uh, spicy chicken butt, I guess," Ethen Cole replied.
"Haha, great! Ethen Cole, you and I are really on the same wavelength. Let's go have some spicy chicken butt!"
Fattah Amin: "..."
...
Canteen No. 4 is the closest dining hall to the dormitory area. Fattah Amin and Hakimi Nil had already eaten there the previous day, so they were quite familiar with it.
Led by Hakimi Nil, the three of them headed to the food stall and ordered three portions of spicy chicken butt rice bowls.
Fattah Amin also treated them to a bottle of drink each. The three of them sipped their drinks while waiting for their meals to be prepared.
"Wow, this is really good..."
"It's so delicious!"
"The campus's food is completely beyond my expectations."
As the three of them waited for their meals, the excited exclamations from a nearby table caught their attention.
The three of them simultaneously turned to look at the neighboring table. What they saw left them utterly astonished.
On that table, there were exactly 10 boxes of spicy chicken cartilage rice bowls. Six of them had already been devoured, leaving four uneaten.
The person eating was a chubby little fellow with glasses. This little guy had an incredible appetite, devouring each rice bowl in mere moments, as if a whirlwind was sweeping through.
In the short time the trio watched him, the little guy finished another bowl. Ethen Cole and his friends exchanged glances, each seeing the shock mirrored in the others' eyes.
They hadn't expected to encounter such a voracious eater. What shocked them even more was that this foodie possessed a Bronze Level 2 cultivation.
The bright numbers on his armband clearly displayed his strength.
"Gulp..."
Faced with such a high level, Ethen Cole and Hakimi Nil couldn't help but swallow hard.
