Chapter 274 Deal!

"What kind of work are you talking about?"

"It's simple work, you will have to break some bones and kill a few when needed. In return, I will give you any kind of information you need. If you want to know about anything inside this town, I can get you anything when it comes to information."

Lucas looked at her calmly yet he had another thought in his mind, he had to finally kill some humans if he accepted this deal.

Lila didn't know what he was thinking about but she let Lucas cook for as long as he needed.

"… You have a deal."

Lila's face bloomed into a sweet smile again, the one Lucas was prone to see before she showed her crazy side to him.

"But, If I feel that these deals of ours are making me have disadvantages… then I will make your life a misery. You got that, right?" Lucas asked while making yet another eye contact.

This time, Lila tried her best to reciprocate it with some sass of her own yet that unfortunately didn't work.

"Deal!" She said fast because of nervousness and trying to not stammer in front of the guy anymore.

"Now get these dogs out of here, I should not find any near this room for now."

Lila nodded and got up on her legs, without any further ado, she left the room leaving Lucas alone.

'Finally gone…'

Lucas could not feel the presence outside his room now.

He looked at the book on the bed and without waiting any longer, he grabbed it and started to read it.

Time seemed to move very fast when he was reading, there were many things that were unknown to him but it was also easy for him to learn it all.

It was as if they were information that he didn't need to read again and again, with just some reading, he was able to remember and understand what was written there.

Lucas did not think of himself as a genius, in his eyes, the book was still called the 'Fundamentals of Alchemy'.

The book was like a treasure of knowledge that he couldn't help but giggle over.

There were many recipes there and one of them was called a mana potion, Lucas knew how to make a mana potion, but he developed it with no help in his territory.

Yet the technique that was being used in making this one was a lot more refined.

While there was the fact that these materials were nowhere in the Plains of Amareon and even if they were, Lucas had not found them till now.

The techniques could still be used with the ingredients he already knew of.

There were special methods of grinding even the wet stems and leaves into powder which he was not aware of. Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire

The whole night went by and Lucas couldn't sleep one minute, yet as his stats were half of what they were before, his eyes were very heavy and he had the urge to sleep.

Lucas went to sleep when the sun rose and when it was finally afternoon, he was awake and felt the urge to take a pee.

His habits of freshening up had degraded a lot. Lucas went to the gate inside his room and opened it in the afternoon only to find a fine toilet sheet made of metal.

The design was not the same as that on Earth, it was on the ground with a big hole in the middle, Lucas peered down that hole and only found darkness.

There was also a push button at the right which he clicked out of curiosity, this toilet was like the ones found on airplanes and trains back on Earth.

When he clicked the metal button, his eyes widened in shock.

'W-Water…' Lucas looked at the fountain of water coming out of the top of the hole. The flow was upward and Lucas felt elated after knowing what it was there for.

Let's just say, the 2 minutes he sat there to freshen up had been the best time of his life since he came to the plains of Amaeron.

There was still no toilet paper to use yet Lucas was still more than just satisfied.

He even took a shower which he was prone to even in his territory but to see properly-made soap inside the bathing area, he felt the urgency to give this to his territory members and family too.

Lucas made his way to the workshop again only to see a worried expression on Mary, she was at the reception again.

When she saw him enter, her expression finally burst into many emotions and she came running toward him.

SMACK!

"OWWWW!!" Mary held her hand and caressed it in urgency after hitting Lucas in the shoulder with anger.

"What are you made of, Stone??!" She exclaimed in pain.

Lucas did not even know what to say.@@novelbin@@

"Why did you even hit me?" He asked with a small smile.

"Do you know what the time is right now? Grandpa had been waiting for you for almost 5 hours now!"

It was Lucas's turn to be worried now.

"Wait, is he mad? I thought he said that I could come tomorrow…"

"Oh my god, Lucas. Tomorrow means tomorrow morning, everybody knows that, it's basic knowledge."

'Not for me' Lucas grumbled over the fact that the previous dumb Lucas did not know such a rule.

"You're fucked."

"Don't be so ominous, I am his new disciple. He will forgive me."

"Hah! Such a joke, I am his granddaughter and when he is mad, I always lose my precious alchemy supply. I will enjoy what will happen to you Lucas, very very." Her face formed an innocent smile that turned into a giggle real quick.

Lucas was mesmerized by her beauty, this place may have not had many powerful people but he did not know why the woman was such a beauty.

He wasn't complaining about Sandra, Haley, Aunt Ella, and especially not Sarah but the beauty here was ridiculously high.

"You bastard! Why are you looking at my sister like that?!"
