With each passing second that the barrier was gone, the warning notifications had become so glaringly obvious that they had begun spinning around his head, nearly blotting out his vision with hundreds of small spam windows.

'What are you, a virus? I thought you were better than that, DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THIS SHIT!' Gritting his teeth and retaking his position, Aoni calculated the distance between himself and the front line of enemies before firing off his first bullet.

The sound his bullets caused upon release wasn't unlike a potato launching out of a tube; after all, no gunpowder or explosion was propelling it like a real gun; even so, he was basically shooting blind, or was he?

'Brother, down a bit and to the right to hit,' Nyria's voice entered the Lad's mind, causing a cheeky smirk to curl up on his lips before he readjusted and fired again.

High above the wall, some 200 feet in the air, Nyria was following everything happening below and even acting like a spotter for her Lord. It was something they'd worked out yesterday.

However, unlike what they were doing now, at that time, it was just target practice, a game if you will, where Aoni would try hitting trees from the top of the Rampart. Since the Birb was the one who had the best pair of eyes, she, of course, could see every time the Ice Bullets connected with the desired object.

By following the Bullet, the birb was roughly able to figure out what changes needed to be made in the targeting process and then called it out to Aoni, who would adjust and fire again.

'Tsk, it's all 1-Stars,' not wasting a second to breathe, Aoni, in tandem with Nyria's callouts, continuously rattled off one Ice Bullet after another, bringing in a constant flow of Progress Points, and it wasn't him alone either.

'Glacia's made contact too,' Ignoring the constant flashing of notifications in the corner of his eye, the Lad was in the process of multitasking, keeping tabs on his birb's location in the sky, taking into account her callouts, constantly shooting like a turret, monitoring his Progress Points by way of his TD, and more importantly, watching the wave's of enemies surging up the mountain.

From his vantage point, they looked like a bunch of insects swarming in his direction, but given he was over a mile away from them, it wasn't too surprising that all he could make out was their movement and not characteristics.

"Shit, please be a rogue 2-Star…" With a frown and catching sight of the plus five points, Aoni's body tensed for a moment, yet he never stopped shooting.

If the 1-Stars were dwindling and 2-Stars were becoming more common, that would spell disaster, considering it had only been a few minutes since the barrier dropped.

"It's not enough," releasing his grip on his left arm for a split second, the Lad opened his Inventory, grabbed hold of a strange blue fruit that looked like a kiwi, and stuffed it into his mouth.

Although he had zero idea of what it was named officially, he'd dubbed it a Mind Stamina Fruit, considering upon consumption, not only would he feel more energetic, but the pressure on his mind would be greatly reduced, making it a perfect supplement for extended turret shooting.

The only problem was Nyria had only located a total of four of these fruits, so they needed to be used sparingly, lest he run out and put himself in a tough position.

The battle dragged on, and from the reports he was receiving from the eye in the sky, the number of monsters was only growing with each passing minute. It was almost as if for every kill he or Glacia brought in, three new monsters would replace their fallen brethren.

And that was when it happened.

"RRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" A deafening roar came from the distant treeline, powerful enough that it froze all the monsters for a moment and rumbled the mountain with vibrations.

That wasn't all either; with this roar came the second most overbearing force he'd seen crashing down on Aoni and the entirety of his territory. With the equivalent of four times gravity pressing him to his knees, the Ice Bullet the Lad had just finished forming fizzled into mist, and he felt dismay overtake his brain.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING," Eyes and mouth wide open, Aoni spotted a winged behemoth taking flight several miles down the mountain.

He was only able to look away for a second to check the flashing windows rapidly flying as an intense wave of pressure continued forcing him to submit…yet with this new enemy's arrival, there was a drastic shift in the notifications, which seemed to clear his mind and help him refocus.

Frantic as he saw the massive horde of dots approaching speed up with the arrival of the flying behemoth in the distance, Aoni didn't have time to think or even consider what the hell was happening. Still, somehow, for some reason, he knew that if he didn't follow through, his and the death of his summons was imminent.

"Shit….COLD RESISTANCE, SACRIFICE COLD RESISTANCE!" Aoni screamed at the top of his lungs, triggering an entire batch of new spam windows to take over his eyesight.
