Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!

Chapter 150 Progress Will Not Be Restrained

Flume Travel, the main means of transportation that gave those who use it their namesake, had been a mysterious thing since the moment it was stumbled upon thousands of years ago.

Back in those days, it was a thing of wonder, mystery, and magic.

Terrans fought and killed each other not for territory or wealth but instead over who would control the mystical artifacts.

However, over time, that changed as more and more flume stones were offered up by the mysterious entity known as the Traveler's Display.

What was once viewed as a god-like artifact became a normal way of life for those who had Awakened.

And the fact that a certain Ash Blond Lad bobbed up and down on the currents of Energia, carrying him back to Terra, while completely unable to focus or immerse himself in what had originally been an amazing phenomenon to him, was proof that the wonder of the mystical artifact had already become a normal part of his life.

"Damn it *sniffle*," it had been well over an hour since the sights of his territory had long since faded away from view, leaving him drifting along the magical crystal tunnels, and even now, Aoni was unable to stop his tears.

He missed them…his dumb little floof. For all the trouble Glacia gave him, she was like a combination of an adorable puppy and a mischievous baby sister, always bringing some kind of excitement or chaos to his daily life.

She was the first one to join him in Genovia, the one to live through all the dangerous situations one by one, and although she was goofy and pretty silly, Glacia was pure and innocent.

Then there's Nyria. A pandora's box of strength, intelligence, and, unfortunately, trauma, she was sweet and shy but caring, yet at the same time, she hid her pain and sadness from everyone. It was the reason Aoni had gone out of his way to pamper and show her how he would be there for her no matter what.

His two non-human little sisters seemed more like his children, and as Aoni drifted along down the winding expanse of the Flume, he couldn't contain his sadness and the sense of loss he felt by merely leaving their side.

"I can't keep crying; I need to straighten up,' trying and failing to stop himself, Aoni ended up resorting to slapping his cheeks with enough force to break something had he been weaker.

"Focus on the shitstorm you are walking into; Glacia and Nyria will be fine; you left plenty of food and protection behind."

It's about Time

Allowing himself to bob in the currents of Energia freely, Aoni crossed his arms over his chest and stared up at the Attribute Notice window, which had just opened in front of his face while sporting a frown.

"What do you want?"

Asking dumb questions has never gotten you answers in the past

"And why would now be any different? I get it; you know what I'm thinking. So answer me." From the moment he saw those words weeks ago, they had drifted around the far reaches of his mind, and to be honest, he'd tried to ignore them until now.

Because he knew there was a very real chance that his AN wouldn't respond to or even acknowledge them.

However, that changed when the Newbie Barrier was replaced out of the blue, and that curiosity became a burning hunger for answers. Discover more content at My Virtual Library Empire

The Answer you seek is not one you are ready to hear

"Because I'm too weak, I get that, and you've said it before, yet here we are, floating our way back into a place where I will be examined topped to bottom, my TD accessed by a third party, and whatever resources and items I bring back practically stolen from me." With a loud snort, Aoni reached over his shoulder into one of the pockets of his backpack and pulled out a nutrition bar to munch on.

As it was said before, you have less to worry about than you realize

"How about instead of leaving me clueless, you key me in on what the hell that even means? Because from where I am standing…er, floating, it seems a lot like my Attribute is about to be put on full display for whatever government official I get passed to, and my life will be made a living hell."

"Besides, I am totally convinced that being a government slave will do WONDERS for my Progress." With a little anger and a hint of annoyance in his eyes, Aoni took a bite out of the fruit/herbal bar and chewed.

Preparations are nearly complete

Be advised the cost of preparations will be 100 Progress Points

"Fannnntastic, not only are you keeping me in the dark, but stealing more points without giving me the option to decline."

You want options… that can be arranged

Would you like to Spend 100 Progress Points to Live a life without Progression being Hindered?

Would you like to withhold Spending 100 Progress Points and live a life of servitude, bound by shackles so tight that you wished for death every second of the rest of your meaningless life?

Y/N

"Fuck…just take the damn points," pinching the brim of his nose Aoni really wished he could make his AN physical for a single second; that way, he could punch it in its fucking WINDOWED FACE.

As expected, regardless of your hesitancy, it is a necessary expenditure, as nothing comes from nothing; there must always be a source of power, even for the things accomplished by your Attribute

Preparations Complete

Imminent Threat to User's Progress has been located

It has been determined that multiple procedures need to be executed in order to protect the Progress of the User

Activating Protection Protocols

Requesting the Adaptive Unlocking of ?¿?¿ ?¿? ¿?¿?¿?¿?

Temporary Unlock Approved, calculating Activation Cost

Overriding

Pre-Approved Activation Cost Accepted

?¿?¿ ?¿? ¿?¿?¿?¿? Is now Adaptivly Activated

Determining adequate parameters that will secure User's Progression

All Three Displays Have Been Manipulated, and proper changes have been made to Mask the truth behind the User's Attribute.

Chewing on his nutrition bar, Aoni read through the multiple notifications that flashed across his AN chat window, but when he got to the final line, he started coughing and gasping for air as he nearly choked.
